This controller is ridiculously hard to use. After several attempts on 3 phones it is still not working: Android 8, Android 10, IOS 14. The chinese instructions are very poorly translated. I am amazed how anyone could get this thing working.

I use my Tello, with an old, 4,5 years old Sony Experia Z2 , Android 6+, also using the MI 2 WIFI Extender, not for a much longer range to fly, but it helps a lot , the video from the Tello are much better, yes and the TALS APP, my flag pole are 10 meters, so it is nice to be able go a little higher, Have a nice day Sir.

I have bought a bluetooth hand control. I have problem to get a smooth flying when start to pitch forward or backward, it move the camera up or down to much. I try start and stop smooth, but it is not smooth like you can fly. It is same roll or yaw. I can do it very smooth with the control from my mobile phone. Can you tell me what trick you use to hold the Tello more stable and plane with your hand control?
Well, the Ryze Tello has a rigidly built-in camera. As a result, it will never be possible to achieve a perfect tilt and roll. As already shown in my video, there is a short delay between the command from the remote control and the execution of the command from the drone. I don't use any special trick to make a smooth flight. I just try to manipulate the sticks so that jerky movements are avoided.
@@Meisech I suddenly got the smooth flying as I was looking for. I did a new configuration in the Tello Fpv app and then I found it. Very good function now with very cheap new Bluetooth hand control for around 6 dollars.

It works on my iPad mini 2, not my android, nor will it charge. I'm going to have to return it. Found some instructions on Amazon that got it to connect with my android: 1st turn on gps high accuracy and permission for tello app. Then: 2)Turn on tello 3)Turn on phone wifi and connect to tello 4)Turn on bluetooth on phone but DONT CONNECT TO ANY DEVICE 5)Turn on gamesir by pressing A button and power button simultaniously and holding for 2 seconds to make visible 6)open tello app go to setting bluetooth controller and click gamesir. If it doesnt connect you probably didnt turn on gps. It was the location being turned off that was giving me fits. Still, it refuses to charge, so it will have to be returned for another one.
Do you have an idea of why my Tello stopped working with this gamepad? I just stopped flying drone around 2 months and put back in its original box, now Tello only works with Phone! Actually I am able to connect gamepad to tello app, but as soon as Tello takes off losses control and crashes...I have updated gamepad and calibrated it but problem did not solved and gamepad does not work well !!!
Some questions. When did you update the controller and where did you get the firmware? Have you changed your smartphone in the meantime? Normally if you use the same hardware as 2 months ago, it should work. I can confirm the smooth operation of the controller even after several months of no activity. Note that now the Gamesir T1S can also control the Tello. Check in your Bluetooth settings in the Tello app that the T1D is checked and not the T1S.
@@Meisech Hi, thanks for yr response, I updated two days ago thru this app "T1d Upgrade Tool" by using an Iphone, however i realized update was not being completed, then I changed device and used an Ipad and finally it was succesful...today controller worked OK with Tello drone and yes indeed I recently changed my smarthphone from Android to IOS (but you know this is the 2nd time I had to calibrate IMU on drone after no activity). Have no idea if it's an issue or not, after you mentioned google removed it due to malware, but apple still has it. so, I have it. Now just have to wait for the controller. And a trip to a park where I can fly this thing without fear of my weirdo neighbours thinking I'm spying on them hehe..
None of this i working with the Tello. There is no upgrade tool, there is a homepagelink to China, and there you go. In stead read the manual and open the tello app, and connect your gamepad via the bluetooth tool.

I bought a T1d, it works well with my HTC U11 & Tello, and also, the t1d upgrade tool. However, I can only connect T1d in Tello's app, not in Android's Bluetooth manager. It always said incorrect PIN or passkey......

Normally, the bluetooth is not asking for an identifier or a password. 1) Power the drone 2) Power the T1D 3) Activate the bluetooth on your Android device 4) Open the Tello app 5) Go in the settings of the app and tap on the Gamesir-T1d-xxxx text

@@RoseRoo Sure, the electronics inside the T1D are only designed to act with the Tello. If you want to use a Gamesir gamepad, so I suggest to buy the T1S, which I own. It it working very fine with games, even on my Samsung TV.
When the 4 blue LED's are solid blue that means that the controller is binded with another device. If the problem persists, try to do a hard reset of the controller by inserting a toothpick for example in the back hole of the controller.

The tool does not exist anymore. Apparently, Google banished it from its pages because it contained malware. Unfortunately, I no longer have the APK. In any case, the problem is not solved with the installer. Your mobile is simply not Bluetooth compatible with the controller. I had the same problem with my Doogee smartphone, which was compatible only for certain functions. With my Huawei tablet, everything is working fine. I did some research. The 'Octopus' app only allows you to connect a compatible controller to Android games, but the app does not allow you to interact with the Tello. The only certified Gamesir controller to use with the Tello is the 'T1D'.
My controller is brand-new, but is constantly disconnected from bluetooth, and the battery lasts just five to six hours. Does anyone have the same problem?

I have Ryze Dji Tello too and the lack of the hovering exists and it is not caused by the Gamesir, it is normal because of the wifi and app system with the drone. Using Tello With or Without the Gamesir T1d, the response lack will occur. I have friends using Gamesir T1s well with the drone, so i Will Try T1s also. Thanks!!!
Yes, that's precisely what I say in the video. The controller is ok, but not every smartphone or tablet is working correctly with the controller. I think it's a bluetooth problem.

So I had a few minutes to test the Tello with the T1s. Indeed you can connect the T1s with the tablet, it is displayed in the app list but no more. None of the buttons or sticks are working. I tried out all the possible solutions. By cons, the T1d is working perfectly. Maybe a newer version of the T1s allows a connection between the Tello, the app and the controller.
@@Meisech :) You haven't tried to the end... Press on the displayed T1s and will appear one more row below with the inscription "Gamesir-T1GCM Disconnected", if it didn't along with the first inscription, depends on the model of the phone. Press on it to connect and you will see the result... :)
@@corneliudoc Indeed, it works. I had seen that a second controller was displayed in the list and I wondered why it was displayed. However I can not start the motors only with the sticks as it can be done with the T1d. I think there are still some functions that are not 100% identical with the T1d. In my opinion, the firmware and the app were modified so that now the T1s can control the Tello. At first, this was not the case, the T1s was not even displayed in the list. I left a note in the comments window.
The English version of the app has been removed from known sites for a long time. I only have a link pointing to a Chinese site: www.xiaoji.com/firmware/t1d/index_en.html . As the big sites like Google Play or App Store have banned the application, I do not suggest to install it. At your own risk !!!
The problem may be related to bluetooth compatibility. If you see the Tello in the bluetooth setup, then it should work. The Tello can however be linked only in the setup of the app.
Hey again, ohh man, my Experia Z2, not the newest on the market, i know but, it is as fast as many new models, still it have a quad core , ( one of ones working ) 2.3 GHz , and was one of the early phones to use dedicated RAM, . Love it so much, it is fast, you can use it as a hammer, ( no name to say, but one phone, one of the expensive , glass are breaking for nothing.). Have just puttet a new battery in it, i find a original battery for 139,- Dkr , maybe 5 $ , and four years more to go. Sorry, a little of tread, about the link, not only my phone, but olso , using BullGuard mobile, the told me, High Risk, ,,, my guess, the reason for , its removed from Goggle Play. ( Only guessing, 200.000.000 Tello drones, flying around in the world, And a APP from the Company providing the controller, sending pictures back to Chinese , Defense/Attack , something, along, with your longitude and latitude, not all people, are flying on the lawn, some my fly close to , ( Things , and Installations , not for the Chinaman to see.

None of this i working with the Tello. There is no upgrade tool, there is a homepagelink to China, and there you go. In stead read the manual and open the tello app, and connect your gamepad via the bluetooth tool.

Help how do I get the controller back to the 4 flashing lights mode because my lights stay solid and the upgrade tool can't find my controller

I did some research. The 'Octopus' app only allows you to connect a compatible controller to Android games, but the app does not allow you to interact with the Tello. The only certified Gamesir controller to use with the Tello is the 'T1D'.

The T1S will not work. It's a simple game controller not intended to interact with the Tello.

I tried out all the possible solutions. By cons, the T1d is working perfectly. Maybe a newer version of the T1s allows a connection between the Tello, the app and the controller.
@@Meisech :) You haven't tried to the end... Press on the displayed T1s and will appear one more row below with the inscription "Gamesir-T1GCM Disconnected", if it didn't along with the first inscription, depends on the model of the phone. Press on it to connect and you will see the result... :)
@@corneliudoc Indeed, it works. I had seen that a second controller was displayed in the list and I wondered why it was displayed. However I can not start the motors only with the sticks as it can be done with the T1d. I think there are still some functions that are not 100% identical with the T1d. In my opinion, the firmware and the app were modified so that now the T1s can control the Tello. At first, this was not the case, the T1s was not even displayed in the list. I left a note in the comments window.

The English version of the app has been removed from known sites for a long time. I only have a link pointing to a Chinese site: www.xiaoji.com/firmware/t1d/index_en.html . As the big sites like Google Play or App Store have banned the application, I do not suggest to install it. At your own risk !!!

Since there is an app for the iPhone, I think the controller also works with an iOS system.

The problem may be related to bluetooth compatibility. If you see the Tello in the bluetooth setup, then it should work. The Tello can however be linked only in the setup of the app.

Hey again, ohh man, my Experia Z2, not the newest on the market, i know but, it is as fast as many new models, still it have a quad core , ( one of ones working ) 2.3 GHz , and was one of the early phones to use dedicated RAM, . Love it so much, it is fast, you can use it as a hammer, ( no name to say, but one phone, one of the expensive , glass are breaking for nothing.). Have just puttet a new battery in it, i find a original battery for 139,- Dkr , maybe 5 $ , and four years more to go. Sorry, a little of tread, about the link, not only my phone, but olso , using BullGuard mobile, the told me, High Risk, ,,, my guess, the reason for , its removed from Goggle Play. ( Only guessing, 200.000.000 Tello drones, flying around in the world, And a APP from the Company providing the controller, sending pictures back to Chinese , Defense/Attack , something, along, with your longitude and latitude, not all people, are flying on the lawn, some my fly close to , ( Things , and Installations , not for the Chinaman to see.
