Photoshop: How To Cut Out an Image - Remove & Delete a Background
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 мар 2018
- A simple and quick tutorial on how to cut out an image and remove the background in Photoshop. This basic Photoshop cc/cs6 tutorial will show you how to delete that background and use your image for your other projects. Deleting a background can be really easy when you use the magnetic lasso tool combined with polygonal lasso tool and masks. This is part 2 to my pen tool tutorial in a much easier way. I also discuss the selection tool and it's available options.

This was one of the best tutorials I've watched. Speaks clear and slow, does not grandstand or act goofy to be cute. He is a great teacher.
Lies lmao the first 3 minutes are teaching us how to zoom in with the scroll wheel smh horrible thats not what i searched for
That was good. No extra waffling to bore everyone. Straight in and explained in a very understandable way, without that high speed cursor movement that the other Pros do when they forget there are fresh users out in the real world!
You said it very well... "when they forget there are fresh users out in the real world" ... What´s the point to forget that? Mind´s trick! It´s the BIGGEST mistake maybe most teachers make.
@@eduardorecife2 true i watch alot of tutorials and they are going at like mach 4 and i have to set it to 0.25x speed and keep pausing to know what they are doing
right
exactly
As a side note: If you want to have the image with no background (so a png image) remember to save as png.
Very good tip 👍 png supports transparency other don't
Thank you for this tip!
Bro if i had not checked the comments i would've thought i did something wrong and would waste more hours trying to figure out how. thank you
\o/
this is what i need thx
Very good video. Loved how he highlighted the keyboard shortcuts and zoomed in on some of then buttons he used in photoshop. Thank you !
I have been trying to learn how to cut out an image for MONTHS and this was the most comprehensive video I've seen. I FINALLY understand what I'm doing. Thank you so much.
Great video, I was able to finish what I needed , me just being a beginner in Photoshop, thanks!

Thank you for this wonderful explanation how to use the lasso tools! My images were always sharp and jagged and this made everything come out a lot smoother and look a lot more natural.
You have the perfect voice for a tutorial .Its clear and calm . Really healpfull
Nice video on a tool that doesn't seem to get a lot of publicity. Got to remember I can press CTRL to close a loop if I don't want to complete it (which would be virtually all the time if I'm adding to or subtracting from a selection). Keep his tip in mind because it will save you all a lot of time!
I was about ready to give up after watching like 10 videos. So glad I found yours! You are a lifesaver!
agreed!!
help me I guess. What app is he using?
Thank you! I've been struggling with these tools. I was able to select what I needed from my illustrations!
great practical instructions. realy helped me. i was trying to do somthing and geting it wrong for over an hour. this realy helped me!
So easy to understand, the close ups are appreciated and the explanation of the tools was def a plus plus for me. Thank you!
Really happy to hear that and you're welcome :)
Best tutorial I've seen. Many people skip the small details. Thanks 👍
This hands down has to be the best tutorial i have experienced. Thank you man.
This is where I saw someone clarifying everything in details and slowly so we can understand that easily. But in most of the other videos they guide us very fast and so I have to pause the video again & again to understand just what he did which is pretty much boring. As a result I loose my enthusiasm to do something creative. Thanks for the detailed guide and thumbs up.
I completely understand and I'm the same, I need clear instructions without rushing into things. Also I hope you continue progressing with Photoshop :)
is affinity better than photoshop?
Absolutely agree -) And I'm looking for calm and clear explanations.🔥
Thank you so much for this video. I am in my first year of yearbook this year, and as a photographer I will be doing lots of cutouts. I will definitely be referencing back to this video a lot. Keep up the great work!! ❤️
On point Tutorial. Awesome work!!!!!

Great Tutorial, I can remove backgrounds so quickly now :D
The best photoshop teacher I've ever seen.

Thanks for explaining the adjustment tools of the tools. Its all in the details!
this video literally saved me during my design project. thank you!!
You’re actually one of the few who explained this very clearly I’m impressed. Thank you so much!

Excellent video content! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Riddleagan Made Masterpiece Remedy (probably on Google)? Well done..just what I was looking for , many thanks
OOOOoohhhh! FEATHERING! I was wondering what fehverin' was.
this is my first time to watch your video. I"m a newbie to this and your explanation is very very good. I'll keep watching your next next and previous video. Thank you so much! keep it up with good tutorials!!
His explanations are explained very well for sure. How many instructional videos have you seen that have huge gaps where the author forgets the audience? I am extremely critical of instructions.............this fellow does a very nice job.
Thanks For your Help. Super usefull Tutorial!
took me over 3yrs to get this right. thank you so much.
Good one mate.. :)
THANK. YOU. You have, in one video, demystified these tools that have plagued me for years. Well done. I will be visiting your channel over and over again.
Thanks for your info, clearly explained
The most perfect tutorial method i ever seen in my life
Really Helps I can say best cut tutorial in the youtube thanks Bro
You are a dynamic teacher. This explanation was precisely what I needed. This is how you teach a tutorial.
Always come back to this when I need help thank you so much. 💙
Nice tutorial, well explained. But I'm just wondering of how to cut the background from a specific image and another image and join them together.
really helpful for people like me who cannot afford classes. Thank you for this helpful tutorial video.

you sir, are an absolute god, i love you
Super nice! Thank you for this! 👏👏👏
You’re a lifesaver. Thank you for your video!
It would be really great if you explained how you're scrolling around. You did mention how to zoom before you began, but once you begin the alt+scroll no longer works, and you can't scroll the image with the scroll wheel either. To move the mouse away begins a process of selecting across the image.
I figured it out on another video (space bar+left click to drag image).
Thankyou for this tip! You are a lifesaver!
Within 3 mins of your teaching, I subscribed - - - you need to make a lot of videos and be consistent - - your teaching style is very valuable
That's just made my day :) and I'm working on becoming more consistent and I do appreciate the kind words. It's the exact reason I started to simplify learning and to make it easier to understand because I know what it's like learning something new and trying to follow along
@@VerticDesigns Literally I saw tons of videos to learn Pen tool, I just could not see them teach me than waffling, Please do make a Course of all Adobes you know, Take your time and do it

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot!!!
You explain more better than my teacher
you can say more with better.
100% good tutorial

This helped me a lot thank you!
Very helpful. Crisp no nonsense tutorial. Thanks!
Finally a video that’s not overly complicated literally was just trying to figure out why my crop took wasn’t showing up on my toolbar 😂Thankyou !

i love your teaching style. I will stick to you now.
Thank you so much.... i have been trying to learn how to do this in so many other tutorial but u explained so well that i actually got right this time. THANK
This is one of the best, most comprehensive videos I have seen. You didn't assume I knew anything and that's what I needed! Maybe don't make so many circles with the cursor. I had to look aay a few times but I love the way you teach!
2019?this tutorial is so helpfull
Im really glad it is and im happy to hear
Excellent video. Im just starting to learn cutting out in PS. Is this your favorite way?
Matthew Furman, that's great to hear that you're starting out to learn more about PS and yes recently this has been my favourite way because i can save some time and still get nice results
Thank you, I will put some time into this. Yesssssss!
Welcome to photoshop and all of its beauty Matthew - if you have any further questions feel free to reach out!
Thank you so much! Learnt a lot from your video so thank you!
Just liked and subscribed because this was simple and I was able to do it! Learning Photoshop has been a difficult process for me but with videos like this, I am slowly starting to understand more. Thanks!
In fixing the hair at 7:45 - did you mean the "brush tool" or the "eraser" tool? I could not get the brush tool to work like your video is showing?
Same here!
you have to make sure your layer mask is selected and not the actual image and color with black
@@joe3310 that didnt work
@@mrhernandez8256 did you find out
I need help. In my updated Photoshop the interface at 7:54 on top left is not showing like that with brush tool. Which one should I pick?
im holdin ctrl and clickingon the image its just delsecting my lines i 've made for the lasso tool
ctrl+d is deselect , u need ALT hold alt
Thanks a lot. It looks very easy. I will start to practice.
Easy to follow ,brilliant !!
Can someone please do this for me with a certain image? I’d greatly appreciate it!
no
thanks for the tutorial man much love
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! GREAT tutorial!!
Can't get it to work... when I attempt to connect the last dot with the first one, it never connects and when I move the mouse away, it drags a new line across the image.
I still can’t select a curly hair with this its too difficult
Just improvised
thx for easy guidance !
This was my first time cutting out in PS and I'm so pleased with the result! Thanks you!
"guide it around the *object* you want to select" hah get it guys? just me? ok
