I've been banging my head on my desk for days trying to figure this one out, thanks for the three options and the clarity & brevity in each! I will come in off the ledge now.
actually i am loosing my patience, it took me 3 months just to find out how to remove the background, until now i cant remove the background, this is i think the 39th video tutorial, how amazing is that this photoshop, very user friendly
If Photoshop is becoming too frustrating you could try something like Canva that has an automatic background removal tool. It's not as good as what Photoshop can do but is fine for basic selections on a simply background!
I'm so happy I've found your channel, you explain everything so clearly and also break it down for the beginners, and showing us shortcut keys to use. Thank you so much ill be watching all your videos, as I've just started a class but they aren't teaching these easy steps. They had me using the lasso tool to remove background
My photoshop is newly installed and I saw no content of properties. Also I can't delete the fully background like how it suppose to, it always leave white background or other color I chose but I can't and I don't know how to delete the background completely. Pls tell me how ...
Hey! Would you have an advice on how to cut out an entire photo so to keep only the analog border frame of it so that I can use it in other photos as a layer for example?
Thanks! It works only for simple images. I have a template with more than 15 to 20 elements, and it didn't work at all. I wish the removal of background should not be so complicated for complicated templates. Thanks
Thanks a lot for this tutorial. One issue I have is: in my Mac when I click Opt+Click on the layer mask, I am not able to see the mask (the black and white image). It only shows the subject of the image, without the background. Can you suggest how to rectify this?
Thank you for this. Great tutorial. Very clear. New subscriber here. Favor, may I know what app or software did you used in the tutorial- the screen recorder ?
When I open properties in Photoshop the options under Quick Actions are: Image Size, Crop, Trim and Rotate. Is there a setting I need to change to be able to see the Remove Background and Select Subject options?
i have a painting with a frame around it using windows 11 whats the easiest way to remove white background. could not use crop tool says image contain unsupported layers.
for example i have two pool cues in the background and when i tried to use the remove method the first one it doesnt work few pieces goes missing and also not works with every image. i guess there are limits though sadly
Thank you so much Brendan for introduced the babckground tool remover, which i could not have found on my own and it s so much easy, save time and helpful.
Hi Brendan, I only recently discovered you and your channel and I`m now a subscriber. Can I say how easy you make understanding Photoshop, which I find very overwhelming and hard to understand and even though I`m on Adobes Photography Plan and have access to Photoshop, I very rarely use it, because quite honestly it frightens me. i`ve just signed up and received your first few lessons and I`m currently working through the emails and enclosed videos, so hopefully at the end of this I`ll feel more comfortable in using Photoshop. Many many thanks.
At 1:01 you say "so the first thing I'll do is unlock my image layer that I want to use". I'm using Photoshop version 22.50 (2021, I think), and there is no "unlock" icon on the image I imported. So the rest of the remainder of the tutorial will not work.
Hai..brandan. i hv been watching yur ps tutorial thanks. I hv a problem may be u can help. I hv an image with back ground. After removing back ground. Now the image is transparent and i put a white layer. Now transparent back ground hv awhite layer. But when i cut the arm and paste again. If I have an image of the subject lets say a man in a forest, and I also have taken an identical picture of the forest without the man. Is there a way to use these two images together to perfectly isolate the man. Like could I remove one image from the other, like say where images match delete? If so how? Because I can't figure out.
why does all the tuts have such nice photos to work with, in the real world i work in ppl gives me photos of them at a night party standing against a black walls

If the layer doesnt need to be unlocked, just continue on from the steps after that. Consider yourself one step ahead 👍🏻
