  • This video will show you how to get ALL the new Fujifilm film simulations from the X-T4 like Classic Negative and Eterna Bleach Bypass onto older Fuji cameras using Capture One Pro 20 or 21.
    I have tried this on an X-E1 and X-H1 and it works for BOTH! I attempted to get the new NOSTALGIC NEG from the GFX100S and that sadly DOES NOT WORK!
    Please comment below if you've tried this and let us know your favorite film simulation!

    Classic Negative is really good. I used it on a really sunny day and it completely changed the mood of the video. Almost boosts the shadows up. Very unique look. Fuji simulations + the Fuji Weekly recipes are so good. It'll give you enough to play around with for a while. I liked your video and subscribed to your channel!

    The only problem I've found is that the dynamic range on the X-T4 is higher than earlier X-series cameras. When you try to recover highlights, it can lead to some pretty harsh banding. Found this especially bad on Classic Negative.

      Thanks for the heads up. I too notice the DR is lower on the old cameras. I haven't pushed the RAW files too hard, but can see it being a problem if I did. I definitely notice there is less latitude when pushing the colors on my XE1.

    "This video is going to show you how to get all of those film simulations on your old X-series camera". They're not really on the camera, though, are they?

    Great Video. however there is an even simpler method where you can only change the Camera name and the software does the rest in one click.

    Can this work for Canon camera? Getting the fuji simulations?

    • @themagicallandscape
      @themagicallandscape  2 года назад

      No, it doesn't work for Canon. You can however try Cobalt Image and they can custom make profiles for your specific camera to apply to RAW files in Lightroom or Capture One Pro. I purchased their Fujifilm profiles for my Panasonic S5 and they work decent, tho not 100% accurate.

    Can All film simulations from xt4 input in Xt2 in camera body for shoot SOOC?
    how to do sir

    • @themagicallandscape
      @themagicallandscape  3 года назад

      No, unfortunately not SOOC to get the new sims on the XT2. You can only get the film sims from XT4 to XT2 if you use Capture One Pro 20 or 21 and re write the exif data.

      As soon as I changed the meta data back to XPro2 it works again.

  • @janosb5953
    @janosb5953 3 года назад +4

    Don't bother. Never be the same. Might as well just create your own custom recipe in camera or Fuji's X Raw Studio.

    • @themagicallandscape
      @themagicallandscape  3 года назад +3

      I agree. It's not going to be 100% the same, but it more than gets you in the ballpark, IMO. I'm fairly happy with the results, but if you need the exact tone curve, no choice but to pick up a newer Fuji, which isn't such a bad thing 😉
