I did loose my job. I deleted it in the comment because I was thinking I shouldn’t talk about that. But I’m making the best of it and going to complete these houses and rent them out as Glamping places. They have a lot of wildlife and I just need to finish them, toilets and water and all that. Thank you for the kind comments, I’ve been needing this pick me up.

...I'd get low cost solar, and 2-4 6 volt batterys, and a n8ce little w.turbine.
2 6 volt batterys can do a lot, and a good 12 volt battery added power.
Turbines don't need sunlight.
It's the perfect combo.
I have a small 12 volt battery under the kitchen sink,
1 in the converted SHED, to 2 6volt batterys in the garage.(all connected by an old extention cord)
I have nice rv 12 volt lights in the home.

I don’t want to deal with batteries anymore when it’s 50 below 0 and there’s no sun or wind and my generator is too cold to start and the propane won’t burn because it freeze in the tube. I like solar, not in interior Alaska though. I’m good with hooking up to GVEA. I slept all winter with five sleeping bags and the water is always frozen and I’m thirsty.
It's my experience that Lowe's and Home Depot employees don't know what they're talking about most of the time nowadays, sign of the times I suppose. I only use them for asking where stuff is that I already know I need. Glad you got the right stuff before it got all hooked up and you had a larger issue.
Yes, he talked a lot and sold his knowledge to me, I should have known. I. Also glad I didn’t hook it all up! Also I’m glad I know I have the correct rated wire for inside the house; the three wires has to be covered by a the plastic.

Great job! The only thing I didn't see was a ground rod. I had to drive an 8 foot long rod into the ground and hook it to the ground bar. Code is probably different up there you might not need one.
There is a huge ground rod. Brights electric did that and the metal pipe with the wires leading up the the GVEA lines I paid them $6200.
This is one of the reasons why, I try not to deal with people, I hate liars.

I know! I was so upset at Eathen his name was. He was nice so I didn’t say anything and I’m sure he didn’t get in trouble. I learned that you need to double check those type of things.

No. If the power dies I’d just start the generator and use extension cords; if the fridge needed to be plugged in I’d just plug it in to a power strip. Low key set up and simple

That sucks doing double work! youd think in the country the building codes would be different Ive seen worse like knob n tube wiring in times past used in barns and such and some houses. Say what you will but they had to be pretty smart to wire in the past as they were soldered together so it might look hap hazard but they didnt have the modern wires and equipment of today and they had the s crew in fuses verses breakers. There is a wire stripping tool with a lever action makes stripping wire easier. But it depends what is available in your hardware or Lowes store has on hand If nothing else just use a smaller breaker so your wires dont over heat. Find you an electrician you can ask about stripping tools cuz basically wiring is all they do so Im sure they know every tool you need to mam,e things go as smoothly or quickly as possible. I dont think its a bad idea to have conduit over your walls as many "office buildings" are wired that way.
