Been using it for almost 2 years. Super good product and stands up to the Canadian climate quite well
I'm definitely gonna get some of this! Thanks, Jimbo, for the video 😀❤👍
I’ve been using this forever man
Good stuff for the price!
I use that at work. Its okay. Dont think it last long at all but for the price its not bad
Been using this for about a year! I like it!! Especially on classic cars!
👍🏻
I liked how in your older videos u would try to see if car soap would bring the product back to life would love to see that again buy love the video GOAT
It’s great for use on personal cars, as it needs to be applied every wash as a drying aid to remain effective. That being said, I’m currently hesitant to use on customer cars. Beaded great after 2 weeks no wash for me, but wore off a good amount after the wash. Still beaded a week later when washed again, but not as much as the initial wash.
Jimbo with the hack sauce that’s some good stuff they have a good ceramic polish as well
I used mothers ceramic for first time the other week and was amazing, just got this and its incredible!! No need to pay 65$ for a small bottle from CG that'll be enough for two cars or so
Since this video posted they’ve sold out of the gallon size on Amazon. They owe you some swag at minimum. Love the channel, keep up the good work!!
Thanks man!!
It’ll work , I’ve used it at this dealership , you need to let it sit for an hr ( how we got results ) and then lay down another coat. It’ll be a bit better.
Great video Jimbo!
Thanks
Bruh!!!!!. I work at a large dealership in St. Louis and we use that product. I absolutely love it!!!!!. I use it as a detailing spray. I'm not really in the ceramic bandwagon, but at a detailer,,,,, it's the bomb!!!!!. I really like their products. They make a gloss called "aqua gloss".All I can do is shake my head 😁 because that stuff is amazing also. Thanks for sharing the video.
Wonderful review, Jimbo. I came across this myself pretty recently. I just got hired at a detail shop and they apparently use this a lot. The owner gets it by the 5 gallon jug for a bit over $100.
👍🏻
I sprayed this stuff on my rims when cleaning the car yesterday. We just had rain here and my rims were beading .... lol. Can't wait to apply it to the car once I polish and ceramic coat it.
Jimbo this chemical company is great. In Michigan we have a local distributor for all of their products. For my detail shop it’s a great value and great performance.
Wow, Jimbo Great review on a really cool product out there. I'm amazed, this makes Ceramic Hybrid Wax from Meguiar's look expensive, lol. I found the Gal. size on Amazon. Thank you, Jimbo It's really nice to have some product options, especially with all the crazy numbers out on the Ceramic Stuff already on the market.
awesome!
Product worked well for its price....didnt expect such a result out of a cheaper product! Btw great review!!
Thanks!
Great video buddy nice product tfs
Thanks
That's the wax really does the job I use it myself at work
Great video! I have been using technicians choice products for a while now and they have a great line of products. I barely found out about this product a month ago and love it!!
Have you used their ceramic polish and ceramic coating?
Ree B Yes I have! And love it!! I found that I like to apply to a wet surface after washing a car. It creates nice beading too!
@@jwesy Thanks, but I mean other than this ceramic spray (TEC582), have you used the other two ceramic products? The ceramic polish (TEC581) and the ceramic coating (TEC580).
Ree B oh sorry 😂! Yes I used it with a DA polisher Tourqfx10 with a europad micro fiber pad. I used #4 speed setting with 4 pass’s with about 4 pea size dots on the pad after primed. Then I sprayed the ceramic spray on ( two squirts ) and with a finishing microfiber pad I removed/buffed the polish. Very easy to use and came out wonderful
@@jwesy Cool, thanks.
Local detail supply here sells it for $19.99 a gallon. Great product! They also have a ceramic detail coating for $19.99. Stuff is great too!
Charles Harrison score!
What detail store
Thanks for the video, these are always fun to watch. Suggestion for a future video. With your same panel, put on CarPro CQuarts UK 3.0, Adams Ceramic Coating, and Chemical Guys ceramic coating and do a torture test with that. I think all of us want to see how ceramic coatings hold up to the test.
Great ide!
Hey Jimbo! Cool and interesting, thanks.
👍🏻
Let's see some cheap vs cheap and may the best value win. Turtle wax, nano shock and TC CDS.
I use that at work I love it works amazing
Thanks brother nice video
Looks like Nano Shock you did awhile back is the best of the gallon budget sealers
Just used this 1:1 diluted as a drying aid. It is great!
I have beadmaker as well and this is easier to use and more hydrophobic.
We use this at my dealership love it. Smells good. Just doesnt last long
Same here. Best thing about working at the dealership is that its FREE!
If you prepare the car it will last.
@@bryantirado7049 how long could it last if car is washed and clay barred ?
Nice Jimbo... looks great, would want to see an endurance test compared to the more expensive brands. If the same you got a winner.
coming up!
Hi great video thanks! I was woundedimg if this stuff has any wax in it? Thanks agin👍
So I nabbed a gallon from my local supplier ... I have 3 client cars I'm doing side by side roof tests with Armor on. So far - it's only been 4 weeks - there are no noticeable differences between them visually, and both continue to exhibit very good self cleaning/water behavior qualities.
Nice!
Wog do you have a link to suppliers. I’m searching on google but get no helpful links. I even look at the actual TC website but can’t find any links. Thanks
magic_m I called TC and got a number for the local distributor (MA/RI) they don’t have a website - it’s old school phone calls and meet up with the delivery truck. Not sure what its like around the country.
For anyone keeping score on the side by side. After a very hot sunny spell the Armor is all but gone (did well for about 6 weeks then gave up the ghost) TEC 582 is still performing very well. Beading is diminished a bit, but the slickness and gloss are still there - most important to me, the self cleaning properties appear to be unfazed. - one car had been parked under pine trees and the owner went after the sap with Citrol so that’s out of the running for continued mlong term testing.
Where this stuff shines is as a drying aid or quick detail spray AS a topper or booster to a vehicle with an already installed true ceramic coating. Used following a quick ONR wash, this stuff is magical. Again, I don’t think it’ll last long as a stand-alone protection but as a topper/booster it works great!
Disclaimer: I have Opti Coat Pro Plus as a ceramic coating.
So far it seems like, the best and cheapest products have been fast finish and turtle ice wax. I think that makes them the finale boss level in your paint protection torture test.
100%
Jimbo you no I've been rocking with you for a minute I didn't even hesitate I went ahead and ordered up the stuff. I just hope they don't change the price point!!
Same here. Thanks for always being there!
Chuckwick Simmons It says currently unavailable when I tried to get it from the link. Did you buy all of it? Haha
I can get whole gallon for about 32 dollar were i live
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing yuup because When I went to our local store and went down the poptart (👁ll) all the pop tarts were gone and I know who the Probly bought them all out to. Lolo
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing but all joking aside there was only 3 left when I purchased them so I purchased 2 bottles because you know where I live it's really hard to get stuff or if I don't jump on it the price will change and it will be out of order . I mean at a stock!!!
I have yet to try their aio 1 step it will leave the same protection I believe and you can top it will that ceramic detail spray.
U gotta try their ceramic coating Jimbo
TEC580. I have some on the way, and can't find anyone who has independently reviewed it, except for it being on one of the panels the Chicago Auto Pros guy tested on his Lexus ES. It'd be very useful for someone to do an instrumented test.
Could you use it for your windshield? Or is it just a ceramic for your paint
I usually apply this product to a wet car then spray it off and it seems to do very well.
Interesting. I’ve never tried it that way
Hope this comes to the U.K. Looks decent stuff.
! would like to see a comparison test with this and Bead Maker.
I did it here: ruclips.net/video/7__ZLlQOSgo/видео.html
I'm totally getting myself some of this. Anyone use their TEC581 XPC3 Ceramic One Step Polish? It looks very interesting with it leaving ceramic protection and the surfacing being fully prepped for additional ceramic. Seems like a very different product.
im doing a video on it soon!
Jimbo.. Issit safe to spray as an addtional protection with other ceramic coating? Thanks bud..
What spray bottle are you using?
Will this damage paint over time?
Would you recommend this as a drying aid? Great video, btw! Thanks
Yes. Thanks
Good job Jimbo.....did this product increase gloss on the black panel?
Yes
Yes aaaaanother good one jimbo
thanks!
Wow i'm impressed on how good this stuff did for the price.
Question: Out of all of the videos you have done, what is your favorite go-to sealant/wax/"ceramic" spray/etc. I vividly remember in a really old video you mentioned liking Opti-Seal, but i'm curious on how your opinion has changed over the past year of doing these torture tests on these different products.
I used to like opti Seal. But I’ve had a few issues of it not lasting. I’m going with DPC armor or ice spray wax currently
@@autodetailingpodcast interesting, I personally use Opti-Seal. But i also apply it after every wash so i dont really give it time to not last. The stuff is so cheap considering how many cars you get per bottle i dont even care if i use it every wash lol. I might have to get the Armor a try some day, have you made a video on it? i dont recall seeing one.
Jimbo spray that on your windows and watch it disappear as your drive down the road on a rainy day 👍👍🙉
Best I've used
Can it be used on plastic, glass, rubber as all the turtle wax products can?
Just trying to learn that the iron remover you used was the eagle one aluminum cleaner ? Is that right ?
It’s actually called “black and plasti-coat” it’s not on amazon
Can anyone answer these; Does this give a mirror like shine and what is the reaction outside with dust? Does it attract dust like allot of products?
Hey Jimbo! Whats your opinion one this product vs. Bead Maker? I have been using bead maker and like it but have recently noticed that it has been leaving a hazy residue and is hard to buff off.
This stuff smokes beadmaker by a long shot.
Please review Dinowax serum boost
This is the real deal!
Very nice
So is the TC Ceramic detail spray equivalent to something like TW Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating?
Curious as to why this detail spray is marketed for adding a heavier protection than the norm for detail sprays. I'd be curious how something strong like this would affect your interior panels when you want to clean them. At least lighter solutions that don't leave a non-water based solution on the panel for protection can easily come off when needed.
ONR or any rinseless solution using 1oz mixed with 1 gallon of distilled water is a true detail spray. You can even use 6oz of liquid synthetic wax mixed with a gallon of distilled water.
No need to buy anything specific for detail sprays since they are temporary.
What was the name of chemical used to clean carpet in Cadillac?
Do you use this in the interior to??
Hi have you ever used Wizards car washes or waxes? I wanted to try Wizards Mystic Spray Wax.
Not yet
HEY JIMBO, What kind of blower do you use in your videos?? and also what water spray nozzle? Just curious .....I'd Like to buy them. Thanks, Kevin
It’s the shelandy motorcycle dryer
Is it ok to use this as a quick detailer or maybe even a waterless wash?
yes
Great video can you use with a turtle wax product with it
Techchicians choice. Lol keep it up bro.
Could you test some iron removers expensive(iron x and others) vs rust removers(evp-o-rust and others) cheap on wheels and painted parts.
yes - working on one right now - it should be out next week.
@@autodetailingpodcast Wow, that was fast. i know the rust removers take long time compared to iron removers, but from what i can tell is that iron removers also remove rust so that the non rusted iron particles are easy to wash away from painted surfaces, the rust remover would work in a similar method but not as fast. What i am not sure of is, will it also damage the clear coat surface while working on rust. Also, a person could possibly leave the wheels covered in rust remover overnight to work.
put on panel and do a monthly update please
Jimbo at that price it’s a no brainer. As long as it gives me shine and slickness, it’s all my cars need. Bought.
For me, it's all about that curing time since my vehicle is outside...They ask for maintenance routines, which seems pretty easy and fair to complete with this product...
You Have to Run it thru a Reg. Light Brush Car Wash at Least 12( Doz) times to see how long it will last? And you hope it comes out of the CW each time and beads up..I got 8x with TW Ice Spray..( I keep a bottle ot TW Ice Spray in my Under seat and spary the Hood,Windshield Roof and Trunk aft I use my Premium Caw Wash Serivce I pay $25 mo for. ave 2x wk and they Vacum inside and wipe the Inside Windows and dash.. and I spray my Chrome Wheels ( 2008 Lincoln MKZ with only 70 mi on it ) but for my 2005 Mazda Miata Summer Car! ( Black with Saddle tan Interior and black top. Do both vehciles with NU Finish 2x a Yr Up here in State of Wi. Lincon for Winter, Miata for summers.
Used it on cars for years! Always been my favorite product in my arsenal. Be generous with it, it’s an inexpensive product, spray away!! Top it after the next few washes and it’ll take your breath away. I install coatings for a living. I didn’t see them at last years SEMA, I would have shook their hand! Haha I love this stuff!!
Have you used their ceramic polish and ceramic coating also? Was thinking of using all three. Polish, then coating, then maintain with this spray.
I picked up some TC, I'm really pleased with it. You can't go wrong. I can't handle the stink of the Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine, it smells like Axe body spray.
I agree. The scent is the worst part. Tc is a great product
I am not sure what you are trying to prove, what is the purpose of the Purple spray after you sprayed the TEC582 ?
I've been using the yellow Shine Armor with Carnuba wax. It's pretty decent stuff, but I can't help but think TEC582 is about the same thing.
Along with SiO2, does TEC582 contain any Carnuba wax?
Does it also repel pollen?
Not sure about the pollen. I think Tec is gonna beat that shine armor stuff
Do final wipe down with meguiars deep crystal soap , no conditioner, no color , no residue.
How would you do that?
Jose M. Guerrero just add two oz of soap in spray bottle, wipe down and rinse, I think purple power is leaving a residue
@@regioexas Purple Power Boat and RV leaves a residue all day long.
Do it against the meguiars blue bottle that’s just came out 👍🏻
comin up!
Do you find the product works better if you spray it on then wipe it off or spray on then rinse off?
Spray and wipe
I like the Lucas oil spray wax, that stuff is underrated af.
I did a video with it. I wasn’t impressed
I saw that, the turtle wax, and Lucas oil were about the same until you started removing them with chemicals. In my experience just wash after wash, the Lucas oil holds up very well, but it does look like turtle wax ice is better. I only paid like $7 for the Lucas oil, so for the price it’s pretty good I would say.
@@STILLNIGHTPEARL Turtle Wax has always been crap the ceramic wax is so good
Hey, Jimbo. Just subscribed to your awesome channel. 2 quesetions 1) Is Technician's Choice Ceramic Spray safe for PPF? and 2) I looked up the SDS and it says that this detail spray contains 1-5% Isopropyl Alcohol. Any reason to be concerned the alcohol in it could effect the sealant or wax on the paint? Thank you!
Yes safe on ppf. No need to worry about the ipa- it just helps the product with any streaking. It’s in most products. Thanks for subbing
@@autodetailingpodcast Thank you! I just ordered a gallon on Amazon. It was $10 off so the cost for a gallon was $34.99. Unbelievable!
how does it work with a gel coat on an rv?
Great
have you compared this product to Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Rinseless Wash ?
Not yet.
Hi Jimbo. How would you rate this vs. Meguiars X-Press Spray Wax??
this makes the paint much much smoother.
I'm no expert, but how do you cut a hydrophobic product with water?!
How does it hold up ? Is it sun friendly ( no streaks )
Yes
Auto Detailing Podcast bro what product do you use to remove gold stains on old carpets ( grey and tan ) they have gold stains that I can’t remove
Wow, that is a steal for $45
I use this everyday on nasty abused work trucks at a concrete company. Trucks that don’t get washed and go threw hell. They come back to me and they still bead up it’s made my job so much easier! I recommend this product 5 stars. Great Video! Thing is your not going to try and hurt the product on purpose in real life so it does Last and works so easily!
Amazon reviews say (the critical ones) say it's glorified Silicon or works but does not last long
Must you remove any existing wax before applying this ceramic?
I’ve tried it both ways. You get better longevity if you apply to a bare surface but it works as a topper as well.
@@autodetailingpodcast Thanks!
You gave us the link to this product and it’s not even available on Amazon. Got anywhere else to get it?
It was available but sold out after this video.
www.shopatpcs.com/?page_id=2566#!/~/search/keyword=ceramic
I asked my chemical distributor that I work with and they sell this stuff I asked him how much it was for a gallon and he told me about $24!! I’ll update if it was more or less when he gets me the for sure final price
even better!
Can you get me a gallon at that price?
Hey Jimbo - love watching your videos and appreciate the reviews. Each winter I drive some road that leaves my truck covered in tons of tar - 3D blobs of tar. To remove I have to clay bar. Are there any products which will be effective to help either prevent buildup or ease removal? I resorted to professional detail last year and it took two people the whole day to get it off fo the paint...
Maybe a ceramic coating? Or even clear bra with coating
Hey Jimbo, they do sell it Amazon. 1 gallon for $44 & a 5 gallon for $120.
Nice!
If it's the only seller I'm seeing as of writing this reply, that $115 shipping fee is ridiculous.
That's Nut's, OMGosh!

Very good find, otherwise I'm thinking of switching this out from Meguiars hybrid...
Meguiar's ceramic wax last longer, so think about it.
@@constantdarkfog49 Yeah, I am thinking it over; otherwise for a cheap ceramic, it's tougher to find than Meguiar's Ceramic which even Walmart is selling at an incredibly competitive price compared to Amazon...Adam's even has something similar and just as effective as either Meguiar's or Mother's (shamefully, Mother's requires a 24 hour cure time versus Adam's or Meguiar's)...A lot on the market for these products, and it is appreciated...
Yep you used to much I use it after my car wash.
Does it have UV protection
Says it does. No way to prove it if does or doesn’t
I use this ceramic detail spray. and it works from someone else that has used it on his personal vehicle he said it last about 6 months.
I'm sure you've been asked a million times, but what blower are you using? thanks!
Shelandy motorcycle Dyer on amazon
many thanks for taking the time to let me know!
another great product review jimbo. def a diamond in the rough. u really can't go wrong at the price.especially since all products similar are fuckn way over priced just 4 silicone dioxide. b well
thanks!
