@@jinxtacy Can Coat was easy if you JUST did your fresh ceramic first... but ... my girls BMW = not fun... Basically Can Coat (in my opinion) is a glorified topper - you get a lot for your money and it looks good - but I think the big thing many reviews leave out: It's a topper but more so - RIGHT AFTER you have spend several days polishing/cleaning/prepping - then standard ceramic of your choice - THEN - can coat on top to finish it off... It's one of those things: It's better than nothing - but - it would not be my first choice on a vehicle that has not been through the whole process... I would go with something easier/faster to spray on / remove - and then just have the conversation about the car needing the full process if they REALLY want Cancoat... CarPro reload is much faster/easier - and obviously is only good for a month or two - but - it would be my first choice on cars with aged ceramic coatings... and if I have a car with ZERO ceramic - I'm going with something fast/easy/simple that maybe only lasts a month but is fast/easy to apply - in that category I have enjoyed the old beadmaker - but now there are "hybrid" ceramics (marketing?) that "allegedly" last longer... I guess it depends on paint quality/use case/if the car sits outside/weather/etc...
@@07wrxtr1 Thanks for your feedback. I do polish the paint, clay, wash, IPA and use Can Coat. It's pretty rough cars, but I don't trust my two year old bottle of CQUK3.0. I just use it on the girlfriend's parents '07 Pilot because I noticed some signs of the clear weakening and wanted to delay it a bit. I'm trying it out on the MR2, but really was looking to test out the waters as I only ceramic coat wheels. I also use a suede applicator to move the product around instead of the spritzer. Realistically for my car and the gf car's I kind of like shorter term protection (usually Wolfgangs Sealant, Seal and Shine, or Meg HCW). For her parents' and sister's car I'm kind of leaning longer term protection. The maintenance on those cars are so random and they live outside in Texas and of course they're black (no one listens to me when I tell them you can't care for a black car that's not German). They think I'm insane after dinner I'll just go outside to wash their cars because I have access to them. I Think Meg's Hybrid Ceramic detailer or something like Reload to go with car washes might be the best bet on a long term protection. I think what Can Coat promises is probably okay for me to try to keep up with 5 cars.
Cerakote rapid ceramic spray is much easier to use than Megs ceramic spray and has hydrophobic water behavior that is on the same level as JET. The company says layering will enhance the coating so I applied 3 coats in 2 days to a hood. 3 months later the hydrophobics are like day one. I've only washed the panel with dish soap once a week.
Getting your comments on Boostv2 made me feel way better about getting it 😅 now I just wish we got it in 1L or more here in the states Thanks for the great review series!
Fantastic video, just all of the rest you have done! I would love to see your thoughts on DIY Details products. I have been using them and found them high quality and forgiving. Keep up the great work!
On the hybrid sealant/coating category, what about Sonax Polymer Netshlied? It lasts longer than 303 (6+ months) it's very glossy and the hydrophobics are similar to a coating. Have you tried it?
Surprised that you selected Hybrid Ceramic Wax over Bowden’s Own Bead Machine. I thought Bead Machine won most of the comparisons it was in. Interesting.
@@thebiblicaldigest Do you use anything as a waterless wash type thing? Quick detailer or whatever? I live on a dirt road & need something I can use 3 or 4 days a week on top of Angel Wax products.
I keep going back to the Meguiar's ceramic sprays, both spray wax and Q.D. The wax is finicky to apply under hot daylight outdoor conditions. But it's durable and stays slick. I love the detail spray as a drying aid to finish up with the towels. Have dabbled with their ceramic trim restorer, but haven't quite gotten application techniques down pat to achieve the results I'm seeking. I will try again, though. Thanks for another great video, Sandro!🙂
@07wrxtr1 yes, I'm going to try either that or Solution Finish next. The Meguiar's stuff made my trim quite hydrophobic, but did nothing to restore an even, dark finish.

@07wrxtr1 I can imagine how that could be. The lower window trim on my F-150 is closer to a rubberized plastic rather than hard plastic such as the wiper cowl, or my top bed rails. Thanks mate I’m well! Typically it’s ceramic coatings that require 24hrs of curing before getting wet, but there are products like Carpro Release you can apply over them to protect them during that period. Spray sealants actually tend to be fastest curing, some within an hour or two and more traditional sealants and waxes are usually there from a few hours to half a day. But curing times will vary from individual products.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing as always sir thank you. I didn't know if you'd remember since I used to bug you continuously with questions. Always a response thank you so much sir. Take care
If I were to add a coating in the spring and fall, would you go with Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Paint Coating or 303 Graphene Coating? I currently use Turtlewax SealNShine which for the price is great but does not seem to last long enough.
Hey Sandro just a quick question with your coating removal towels do you buy them and throw them out after use ? I’ve done that with cheaper cloths but wondering if the more expensive ones you use you reuse them or do you use them as a single use thing? Thank you and love the video keep it up so I’m informative yet again and once again more chemicals for me to add to my collection ❤
For spray protection Im planning to apply for twice a month. Or once a month Which product would you recommend? Turtle wax felx, sonax ceramic spray, meguiars ceramic wax, or i find sonax brilliant shine detailer is very cost effective Would you say if i only can have 1 spray lsp sonax bsd is the way to go?
BSD is very durable, chemical resistant and hydrophobic, but can be difficult to apply streak free and a bit grippy in its finish - so if TWFlex is causing you application issues (as you mentioned) you may struggle even more with BSD. If you want my personal recommendation for an easy to apply spray sealant that performs really great maybe give Nv Nova Boost V2 a go.
A little question regarding the application of the 303 graphene coating: how does this coating "react" to plastic trim? Will it leave visible residue, like paste waxes/sealents, or is it ok if a little of the product gets onto it? My car has a few nasty spots with plastic trim and it makes using paste waxes too cumberson for that reason.
What do you think of sealant with a liquid polish form? I'm planning to do a light polish on my car i think i would like to use my polish machine also to do lsp Would you recomennd menzerna ultra lock or tw grapahene max wax or meguiars? Only big brands are available on my country
Whether a was it sealant is in paste, liquid or spray form doesn’t really determine how good or bad it is - it’s more about the individual product. Ultra Lock+ is beautiful to machine apply and has great looks, behaviour and slickness, but isn’t the most durable, though you could just reapply it more often. Not sure how the other 2 machine apply, but they could be also be good and even more durable.
Nice video Sandro although i almost had a flashback to nightmares about Scholl W6. I found it very difficult to remove and only applied it to half a bonnet before retiring it to the cupboard. It did give give a deep rich gloss to the section i applied it to but it would have killed me using it on a whole car. Scholl did say they were going to bring out a new version of it though. Finally with Nova Evo, how do u find it compares to Nova Pro? I was told by the guys at waxit that Pro is more chemical resistant but around the same overall durability. Thoughts on this please? Thanks
Yes I remember you struggles with W6 and hopefully Scholl will improve that aspect. Yes I agree Nova Evo and Pro are both quite durable and Pro is more chemically resistant, but I would also say it will last a little longer and is more accepting to layering which can further add to its durability.
Good video mate , have you used or heard of am details (hybrid range) looks good from what I've seen so far , the hybrid sealant seems really durable, so will probably buy some when I can

what would be your sealant + wax combo? or which wax do you suggest to use over a sealant I am also in Australia and thinking of using Poorboys EP-P + either their Natty Red Paste Wax or Collinite 476 paste wax
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks for the reply, so just for my understanding, you are saying don't use a sealant? Just use the 476 and re-apply when needed? I am also consider the Poorboys Black Hole + wax to use on a car with minor swirls//scratches that has thin single stage paint remainig, to help add some life back

Does anyone here have experience or know about permagard? They are basically used by most dealerships including mercedes, porshe and so on. Is it actually a good product? I've seen videos of it being applied via a rotary and they claim 10 years of protection.
If they use it in a dealership it’s shite. Don’t fall victim that if it’s used on a commercial level in a dealership then it must be good, actually the opposite.

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing im afraid its not available in my country how about seal n shine
So the competition is
Sonax bsd vs tw seal n shine
@Messi10billy try using BSD with a damp cloth for you first wipe and a second dry cloth for your final wipe - it will help make the application easier
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing what do you think seal n shine vs sonax ceramic spray coating
The Sonax will be slicker and glossier, the TW will be a little more hydrophobic and could last a little longer - it depends what you want
I'm planning to do a light polish on my car i think i would like to use my polish machine also to do lsp
Would you recomennd menzerna ultra lock or tw grapahene max wax or meguiars?
Ok thanks mate. Is pro a graphene ceramic also?
No it’s not
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks Sandro, is nova pro as easy to apply and remove as Evo?
Cheers
There application/user experience is different but not necessarily easier or harder
Good video mate , have you used or heard of am details (hybrid range) looks good from what I've seen so far , the hybrid sealant seems really durable, so will probably buy some when I can
Thanks and I have heard of the brand but not personally tried it.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing yeah look them up , garage therapy is really popular here in UK (It's a UK brand ) AM details is also UK and he was/Still is a pro detailer so feel the products should be good + the 1 or 2 videos on hybrid sealant seems really good , another video or two perhaps (If your able to get them of course and I understand pricing cab be stupid )👍
You mention the Scholl W6 being hard to buff out but what about the W6+ ? Is that a new improved version ? I can't find anything about the differences. I found a good deal on a 1lt bottle but don't want another hard to buff out product in my shelf.
It’s W6 Black - the current version
what would be your sealant + wax combo? or which wax do you suggest to use over a sealant
I am also in Australia and thinking of using Poorboys EP-P + either their Natty Red Paste Wax or Collinite 476 paste wax
If durability is the goal, I’d say using 476 over Poorboys should look great and last pretty well.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks for the reply, so just for my understanding, you are saying don't use a sealant? Just use the 476 and re-apply when needed?
I am also consider the Poorboys Black Hole + wax to use on a car with minor swirls//scratches that has thin single stage paint remainig, to help add some life back
No I was saying you could use 476 over Poorboy’s as a combination.
Poorboy’s BlackHole topped with Poorboy’s EX-P is a great combination to fill, enhance and protect paint.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailingI live in WA - Thank you for your effort. Do Traditional Sealants/Spray Sealants go under or on top of wax. Clear coat then sealant then wax??? I have never used sealants, only Swissvax waxes, would like to layer Jet, Lustre then use the rest of my Swissvax wax??. Thanks.

What is the most purely hydrophobic product would you say you’ve ever used?
It’s probably Nv Nova Pro ceramic coating
Do you like opti-seal?
I haven’t used it for at least 7-8yrs, so I don’t know of the formula has been updated, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the original.
This is going to be good 👍👍👍👍
Does anyone here have experience or know about permagard? They are basically used by most dealerships including mercedes, porshe and so on. Is it actually a good product? I've seen videos of it being applied via a rotary and they claim 10 years of protection.
If they use it in a dealership it’s shite. Don’t fall victim that if it’s used on a commercial level in a dealership then it must be good, actually the opposite.
Hallo super Video. ich habe das scholl vintage wax. meine Frage. können sie mir ein Tip geben um das vintage wax zu pflegen. also ein topper .Gruß Waldemar aus Dortmund.
Topping macht keinen Sinn!
@@musikus7092 ok danke, kannst du mir ein schampo für das wax empfehlen schließlich muss man das Auto auch mal waschen.
