LOVE that Genesis does not block.....neither does Phil Collins. 'The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway' got blocked several times for one of the 4 sides. Very odd and only in some countries. Crazy.
yeah im sure as i go it will happen again with other bands. not quite sure what the issue is, its not like i can make any profit from the music. im not selling anything on this channel so their music is not in any way associated with merchandise oh well it is what it is
Hey... Love that Chester doesn't even start playing till the second half. Not even on stage to start with... Looking forward to the domino one from here... Will just say that when you do more from here, don't forget to do the in-between song chat.. sort of helps make the gig for me.
I think all these Wembley tracks were filmed over a couple of nights, but they actually did four, which was the first time Wembley had been sold-out four nights in a row (about 330,000 people). Then Michael Jackson went the year after and did seven (500,000+) 😒😄
@@totallyradreactions5006 I don't think so - although happy to be corrected. I did think Queen did but it appears they "only" did two nights. That Wembley Stadium was demolished in 2002. In the new Wembley Stadium the only people who have bettered Michael Jackson were Take That, who did 8 sold-out nights. (Robbie Williams equalled the Genesis run when he did 4 sold-out nights a few years ago).
The drums are definitely better on the studio version. They have that produced gated sound that was so typical for Phil´s drums then. It sounds so powerful on the record. But it´s a great opener for the concert.
@@totallyradreactions5006 heard in an interview with Chester that Phil plays concert toms. He actually only hits them gently (relatively) and has them turned up volume wise really high. It's was to protect his hands.
Actually that is not Phil on the album version. It’s a drum machine that was plugged into a “boggie” amplifier, as Mike Rutherford described. The part was written by Mike. They explain it in the interviews for the album reissues.
Hi. Great listen and review. Yes its the creepy laugh. Its a very sinister and dark song. There has been various interpretations of the song but its actually its either about a man who whose mother was a prostitute and he is obsessed by her or a prostitute who reminds him of her. Something on those lines. But maybe he is a mentally disturbed stalker. But whatever its got a fantastic creepy atmosphere and sounds great live. CHEERS Gerald Newton
I will say this song is the reason I continued down the genesis rabbit hole. and yes i agree its all interpretation. I wasnt sure what was going on my first time seeing the video and hearing the song thank you for the comment
@@totallyradreactions5006 Slightly unrelated, but as I vaguely remember, Prince Charles and Lady Diana were at this or one of a number of dates at Wembley at this time.
@@totallyradreactions5006 That's OK. I just remembered, at the time, when Phil Collins was explaining about the song 'That's all', and him saying it was about living with someone who turns out to be a pain in the ar** ( bum), and I couldn't help thinking that Diana may have been thinking that about Charles, and maybe vice versa, when she heard Phil say it.
Phil's Voice in this one is absolutly stellar
I agree 100%
Might be his best performance vocally on the studio version on this song.
Phils voice is totally natural, his nasal chords are amazing, so sad to see him these days. I've my memories and this was his best!
My favorite version is Mama live at Knebworth 1990. A masterpiece!!!!!
I agree! A storm blows across the arena as though conjured by the intensity of the performance.
i have seen genesis about 6 times over the years this was a good one . good memories of happy days gone by
This is better than the studio version...Amazing ❤
I've seen Genesis live three times, and they've never let me down.
For me, Genesis is the closest to my # 1 band which is Pink Floyd.
Echt geweldig.
ik ga akkoord
bedankt voor de reactie
Technical brilliance
Amazing Genesis, amazing band!!!

yeah thats impressive. congrats to Michael
very cool they were able to do that 4 days in a row, has any other band done this sense, do you know

I believe it was a record at the time for 4 sold out nights. Just goes to show how popular they were back then.

phil is a heavy hitter, so that had a lot to with it. Chester did a great job though

Reacciona por favor a la canción dodo live three sides live de génesis
Please, react to Peter Gabriel - No Self Control.
A song about a young mans tainted, twisted love for a prostitute. Few bands would be ballsy enough to pull that subject matter off!
Really! And to open the concert. Genesis doesn't get enough credit for being unafraid to go 'there'.
