Thanks Samuel, yes I agree and think I am going to go that direction. I tried the iphone for the gen 6s and I think I am going back to Android. Having experienced both I can truly say Android and Samsung make a far superior package. "Queue the iPhone fanboys" LUL
Slots N-Stuff I went from android lollipop to iOS 6 or 7 on an iPhone 4 all the way to iOS 11 on an iPhone 6S and I recently went back to android with the note 8 and android has improved so much I like it much more than iOS
Samsung phones have the greatest frontal hardware and screen display bar none and ok a very good camera which every smartphone has it anyway but...... That is all it! Samsung phones have cheap plasticky backs, poor fingerprint sensor placement, ugly, unsmooth and gimmicky user interface, late updates and poor overall user experience, all about specs that never really translate into anything just raw unused power and superficial. Will rather opt for a not so greatest external aesthetics but with the best Android camera processing, Vanilla buttery Android and amazingly powerful yet simple user interface with which Google's Pixel has.
Do you remember guys ? How google mocked Apple about headphone jack in Introduction video of Pixel 1 ? And now this ? Im an android user and this makes me very angry. First you mock and then follow? What the hell ?
I remember when I switched from the Note 4 to the Nexus 6P 128Gb version (I wanted to try Project Fi at the time) The 6P was nice and smooth and the rate at which I got the next OS upgrade was pleasing. I was looking forward to purchasing the Pixel XL but when they took away the dual front facing speakers and the price jumped I decided to try out Asus for a while but I just missed the features of the Note line and after going through many phones I am back home where I belong with the Note 8. I really do enjoy this phone.
I chuckle how all the youtubers say the Note uses just bixby for their comparisons. The Note 8 uses the google assistant and bixby ! you have 2 assistants !!! not just one like the rest. I use both all the time. The Note is just ahead of all the competición, everyone else just follows.

Supersaf thanks for all your great videos. On the back of my note 8 I have a hemp slickwrap it's looks sick with a tech21 flex shock Evo wallet beautiful and just ordered a blue honeycomb slick wrap and a black mosaic and I can't wait to get those.. I'm loving my note 8 best phone alive today lol... And thanks for all the thumbs up..
Note8 is superior of course. But is it just me or does anyone else think that having a phone that's always listening a bit creepy? For me there's a major creep factor with Google, from the ill fated Google glass to the little spy camera they just announced, to Google home listening to everything you say.
Supersaf can you please answer this? When do you think you'll be dropping the iPhone x vs samsung galaxy s8 plus camera test? I'm really debating between which one to get and I wanna see the comparison between the cameras but I heard that if you don't get the iPhone X fast you might have to wait till 2018 for it to come to stock. So when do u think you'll be dropping that video?
Note 8 EASILY. The Significantly BETTER Display, the Expandable Storage for Applications and Music and it's ease of use for file transfers. The better Cameras in my opinion, Specifically in Low Light and Optical Zoom with Amazing Portrait Mode. The S-PEN alone dominates the Pixel in Functionality and Productivity. I could go on and on and on. Easily the Note 8 is the winner.
Vipex you don't have to buy them :p if you want the best camera out there, a good assistant and zero drop on the performance for at least 3-4 years, the pixel 2 is the way to go. Note 8 is amazing btw
Vipex Unfortunately all of them are crazily priced. I will stick to my Nexus 5x for a third year since it is like new, but I would like google to give us something affordable like it used to bring us the affordable nexus line...
I’ve always been an apple guy but earlier this year I decided I was going to try out Android, so I bought the Mi Mix, I didn’t enjoy it so I decided to sell it and buy an s8. Which was great... for about a month. After that it started having issues and 1 out of 4 apps would crash. And so I’m back to iPhone (8 plus to be specific) and loving it. I think I’ll try a pixel at some point within the next 2 years, just for the stock android experience since I hear that is a lot better than the Samsung skin. But as for now I’ll stick to my iPhone. I don’t get why people get so upset that other people don’t like the same phones they do, the world is a weird place sometimes.
Your S8 experience is not standard. I switched from iPhone 3G to Android years ago and haven't looked back, that was when things were actually quite unstable on Android even. My last two Android phones have been amazingly stable, never have run into an app crash issue like that. Keep in mind iPhones are not immune to such issues, like the least iOS that caused all sorts of problems for a lot of people. Yes the world is weird because people get upset others don't like what the like. It's also weird when people think their limited experience is representative of the general experience.
If you would just like to try a different ecosystem plus an IOS feel. Should you go for the Pixel since it runs on purely stock android. No hidden issues or bloatware neither gimmicks that will slowdown your phone in the future.
Really what a great video. I first time saw your video and it was really amazing ! Loved the video of yours! Note 8 would be my choice and I was looking which one to buy in the coming years but didn’t have much money to go for it. But after all thanks for the video !
Because all these youtubers are very lazy. These comparation videos, are just them saying stats, we already know. Go on GSM arena and click on compare, now sit behind a camera, a recite everything. Moreover these videos do not neeed to be edited. Wait for the revenues. Remember, doing this, is people's full time jobs.
ĀLĪ ǤHĀNĒM Samsung phones have the greatest frontal hardware and screen display bar none and ok a very good camera which every smartphone has it anyway but...... That is all it! indiosession I had many different phones (Iphone 3,4,4S,6S / Samsung S2,S3,S4,S5,S6 edge and a couple of mini's, S7, Note 2, A5 2017, HTC One Plus, Huawei P10 Plus, Google Pixel, Google Pixel 2 XL(sold it after 3days, because he screen was blue-ish and didn't knew that there was no micro SD slot) and know I bought the Note 8. And it's perfect for me in anyway. The screen and the screensize. the design.. the pen.. how it feels in your hands and even Bixby (what I was hating before I tried it) everthing is perfect!! I don't care about the late updates etc. It's all about your own personal preference. Even the fingerprint sensor is easy to reach for my hand size! Had owned many phones but the Note 8 is my number 1 phone.
both great phones no denying that, but I had to pick the pixel for a couple of reasons that I personally require and look for in a phone. dual front facing speakers, and the stock Android and very quick updates. Google are the first to get updates which is a must have for me in a phone, great customer service. most problems with Google are usually fixed with an update very quick. but none the less both phones are great my brother has the note 8 I just preferred the pixel.
Judging from whatever he told, Note 8 looks more promising.. It provides better hardware.. And looks like a power house... Pixel looks like a small toy.
@SuperSaf TV S8/S8+ & Note 8 has a front camera portrait mode as well called Selective Focus which none of the youtube reviewers seem to realise. It works really well in well-lighted environment.
Every other "flagship" phone looks like a toy compared to the S8/S8+ and Note 8... they just look too damn good. The LG V30 is the only other one that looks halfway decent.
Do you have a vid for the pixel 2 XL and the LG V30? I dont have zvw svc anymore and ordered the LG V30 and wanted the pixel 2 XL but wanted to know more of the comparisons in depth. Thanks
need that Super Saf Style camera review! but I'm sure they are both good. Love the front firing speakers, and clean android. wireless charging and headphone jack are major trade-offs, but probably going with the more clean software, more durable build, and better-sounding 2XL. Adding wireless charging on my own, and rocking BT headphones anyway...
Will you have problems with the Pixel 2 if you put it in a phone holder in the car? Obviously the holder will need to squeeze the phone to hold it secure. Will that make the assistant continually pop up every time you hit a bump?
It'll probably go off when you first put it in the holder. I currently have a cheap holder that only uses side pressure to hold the device. If any phones have buttons sound the mid way Mark it's a right faff getting it mounted
people who want google assistant and not Bixby you can change it in the settings so stop complaining and the dedicated Bixby button can become a dedicated google assistant button
A little disappointed in the Pixel 2 XL, no wireless fast charging and should've got rid of the side bezels. Samsung definitely made the better looking phone, but might get the Pixel 2 XL just because I can't live without stock android, need that.
Really surprised the Pixel doesn't have wireless charging. I get the stock Android thing though Samsung adds a whole lot of useful features on top of the S pen features as well. A lot of reviewers are really liking the current Samsung skin and some have preferred a lot of the Samsung app variants since the S8.
Pre ordered my Pixel 2 XL yesterday! (All black version) For me, it came down to a few things. Better camera Stock Android > TouchWiz Stereo front facing speakers (the front facing being the real winner here) Also the fingerprint scanner being in a much better location. There are a few other smaller reasons, but those are the biggest for my personal preferences.
SeHuN 97 who cares about a headphone jack...wired headphones are so damn annoying...they just get tangled all the time...start thinking with ur head bro, its not tht serious 😴
eman6343 It is serious for people who want to save money. Wireless would be good if companies didn't use proprietary dongles. This forces you to keep buying their products if u lose and don't have cheaper alternatives. Plus, audiophiles will never go wireless until they can surpass the qualify of sound that only wired headphones offer.
Pixel 2XL. The technology is just too fsr ahead. Curved edges mean nothing to me. Never has been since they introduced it on the S6. Google Lens, unlimited storage, stock Android, superb single lens camera that makes dual lens look like a gimmick, bigger battery, AR, light years ahead AI, Now Playing, Google Earbuds...what else am I missing on the list? What does Samsung have to offer me? A pen? Bixby? Lmao!
Google lens? Nothing really special. Unlimited storage? You need a good internet for cloud services. With the Note 8 you can add the SD Card upto 256 GB. Google Earbuds? Samsung offers $100 AKG out of the box
Nearly nothing you said is superior hardware, just software features. Ironically the Note 8 does in fact have superior hardware features... dual camera, better spec'd front facing camera, bigger screen likely higher quality (the Pixel 2 XL is using an LG OLED so likely comparable to the LG V30 which is not as high quality as the Samsung OLED screens) that fills up far more of the surface of your phone (so bigger screen for the size), you get a built in wacom digitizer with 4k+ pressure sensitivity levels and a stylus, you still get a headphone jack... you get decent AKG tuned headphones to use with that headphone jack, you get wireless charging (including fast wireless charging) I mean the list goes on. The Pixel 2 XL is a good phone but its best features are not hardware but software related.
Matthew Langley the pixels camera is just as good if not better than the note 8. Yeah bigger screen with curved edges that will blind you in the right lighting plus it will cause you to accidentally hit commands on your screen. P OLED is just fine. yeah a headphone Jack and earbuds would be nice but you get an adapter in the box and the pixel has front facing stereo speakers which are far superior than the notes one mono speaker at the bottom. explain to me why I should be all excited about wireless charging when it's not actually wireless charging because you have to plug the device in a wall then set your phone on a charging pad and watch it slowly charge?🤔 why should I think that's better than plug in fast charge and be able to use my phone while it's charging fast? Am I missing something here?
Its as if Google are just replicating the iPhones rather than innovating. The iPhone 8 has big top and bottom bezels so Google put the same on the Pixel 2. Then they drop the headphone jack too.
So happy I got the Note 8 its a beast. Was thinking about the Pixel 2 xl but I honestly dont like how they did the fullscreen look. Too much on the sides, top, and bottom. Really surprised about it not having wireless charging.
Yeaa,, absolutely the beutifull was base on preference. but in my opinion pixel 2 xl had thick bezelll and not soo impressive in screen to body ratio..
Thank you for the Info and Video! Its so hard to chose.. I wish I could just combined the best features of each into one phone!. I look forward to your other videos!
Amir Aryan Samsung phones have the greatest frontal hardware and screen display bar none and ok a very good camera which every smartphone has it anyway but...... That is all it! Hi, I really need help? Which phone should I buy? I've been using Samsung s7. I don't know whether to get the Note 8 or the pixel 2 xl. I use the camera a lot for work and watch a lot of films and play games. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP. ALSO I love your channel!!
Very informative Saf ! I’m currently debating on which one to upgrade to from my iPhone 7+. Been with Apple faithfully since the 3GS and am now ready to make the switch. Note 8 looks promising but all my android gurus say that Samsung tampers with it and it eventually bugs out ? Thoughts ?
Note 8 comes with many more software features the Pixel doesn't even have, obviously including the S-Pen but elsewhere too. Touchwiz is now quite excellent and Samsung apps are quite excellent too (plus you get all the standard Android stuff too).
Matthew Langley touch wiz on top of android ? I’ll take vanilla android 8.0 over touchwiz and android 7.1. I’ve also read and heard of note 8 having lag issues already and users having to restart their phones .. just saying
Have you done a V30 vs Note 8 comparassion? Would love to see you do one, I like the way you do it in this format.. I'm thinking about switching from note 8 to V30. I hate Bixby and I find myself not using the pen that much. Note feels to fragmented for me.
I get about 4-5 hours SOT with my Pixel XL with a smaller battery, so I'm guessing the XL 2 will be better. Again, nobody has mentioned the Google Trade-in program. Last years XL in good condition is worth $410! That's pretty huge!
romel 4life there are a few problems with the note 8, I actually own one. 1. the camera software is kinda crap, could be much better. 2. the bixby button is not remapable without a third party app. 3. the location of the fingerprint scanner is terrible. 4. it still doesn't have stereo speakers. in every other way, its amazing though.
I really enjoy your reviews. I passed on the Note 8 because I have an s8+ but I have a Pixel 2 xl on order. I have had several Notes and never use the s-pen. The price and the lack of measurable difference from the s8+ are the reasons I passed on it.
Yup, on top of that the Note 8 comes with the best packaged earbuds (tuned by AKG) out of all smartphones... they retail for $99 but more like the quality of a $49 set... still a one two punch with headphone jack and pretty decent buds.
I don't think any sane adult do care about speakers on a phone. Note 8 packs the punch for me! PS: no wireless charging, headphone jack, expandable memory for a $850 phone + $160 (earbuds) is a bad deal.
I need help. The more comments I read everywhere the Note 8 seems to win the popular vote but my gut likes the Pixel 2 XL. We won't actually know how they compare until it comes out and everyone does their unboxing videos? Is there any way to know now if I will regret just going for the pixel?? I don't mind losing wireless charging, expandable storage, IP 68 (instead of 67), headphone jack, or S PEN. Although the Note 8 is beautiful and has the better design and more RAM I have a feeling I will prefer the pure android experience of the Pixel in conjunction with its forward facing speakers. I currently own a Note 8 but am considering selling it now before it loses more value and getting the pixel pre-order... thoughts?
Can you use Google Assistant hands free? Can it play a specific video without you touching the screen? Can you use it to subscribe to a channel? Can it take a pic, tag people, write a description and send it to Instagram? Can it play and pause YT videos? What is the only thing Google Assistant is useful for? Being a friend to you. Bixby can do all this. I even typed this with Bixby.
I got the Pixel XL this last year and it has been a great handset! I have pre-ordered the Pixel 2 XL and am really looking forward to it! I think the Pixel is the best choice between these two. Personally, I love stock Android and also to run all of the Android OS betas and so the Pixel is the clear winner in this arena since all the updates come in a very timely fashion straight from Google without any carrier intervention. Yay! Also, the Unlimited Google Photo and Video backup in Full Res for Pixel owners is a no-brainer. Also, the dual front firing stereo speakers will be awesome to have again. We had those with the Nexus 6 and I have missed that feature desperately. The fact of the matter is that this functionality comes into play more often than you think that it would. 🔋 life on the Pixel has been better than any other handset that I have owned and once again I think it is going to shine on the Pixel 2 XL. Also, Bixby will not be a staple on Android as we will all get to watch and see. However, the Google Assistant, in All Likely hood is most probably here to stay and as far as Assistants go, as consumers, I think we will see support of Google's Assistant on Far More consumer appliances, devices and Services than we will see on Bixby going forward. What does this mean? As AI becomes a more prominent part of our day to day life, we will get loads more done and have more automated access through the Google Assistant than we will through Apple's Siri, Samsung's Bixby or from Amazon's Alexa assistants. Most of us use Google Services everyday regardless of the model or brand of Android phone that we use: Cloud, Drive, Docs, Gmail, Keep, Chrome and on and on. Google created Android after all. The Pixel, being Google's Flagship handset, just allows for a smoother integration and cleaner experience of all of those services that we, as Android users, use everyday. Furthermore, the phone comes Unlocked when you buy it from Google: another positive Win if you are thinking about travelling the Globe or just simply leaving your current carrier to check out the grass on the other side of the fence: just take your Pixel with you. :)
That's what I thought with the Google Pixel last year. Android just doesn't seem to work for me, not even with the stock version. I don't know if I have such bad luck and always get a broken device but it never works longer than 6 months top. :-(
Android It has been reliable for me and my I T team for 10 years so far. you just have to want to make the jump. You just have to remember androids are products you have to get involved with and get your hands in it. If you dont want to do anything but just text ,call take pics and play games then the I phone might be a better choice. Android is a customizable product , I enjoy changing things on it every week.
Crazy ppl say this cause I've had laggy iphones before. Well mabye not laggy but it slowed down tremendously. Apples eco system is just retarded as fuck.
I "made the jump" several times (Galaxy S2, Galaxy S7 Edge, Axon 7, LG G6, Google Pixel, Galaxy S8). Every single time the phones started to get laggy, apps stopped working, the phones crashed almost daily and battery life got tremendously worse; All after just a few months (G6 lasted me 6 months). It's not like I break them intentionally. I basically use them the way they come out the box, nothing fancy. I really think the customizability and a lot of the features Android has are amazing and, like I said, I'd make the switch in a heartbeat. But as long as Android doesn't properly work, I just can't. My phone has to be reliable. :(
xioracky You do know Samsung actually updates their phones. They said Oreo is coming before the end of the year. Samsung doesn't even take forever anymore. Plus most of what you get in Oreo the Note already has so you aren't losing out on anything. You still get security updates on time.
For people who never use Samsung version of Android, they think that newest version of stock Android is the latest and greatest. They don't know that lots of features added to the latest Android already exist on Samsung phones already. For the most part, Samsung phones users don't miss much from latest stock Android.
The downside of picking Samsung devices are they took super long to update Android. I'm currently using my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the OS is Android Lollipop. Cmon Samsung.
Android Lover1219 that's new for me. Thank you for your kind information. It might be the dealbreaker for some people to switch to Samsung, since Pixel will be updated to the latest Android instantly
And then people cry around that their new iPhone slows down massively because of a new iOS version. And others cry for more updates for older phones. Samsung can't update your hardware so stop crying.
Google Pixel 2 XL or Samsung Galaxy Note 8?

Techy Kenny me too
Philip Valenzuela or more additional income by keeping the jack and selling 2 variants of the earphones, wired and wireless options.
Note 8 has it.
John Potter I know but the Google pixel doesn't
Great video - I think the Galaxy Note 8 is the best route still. Thoughts?

Always interesting watching your reviews. Well I'm just curious, these phones you review do you keep them for personal use or you give them back. If you keep them I'm just imagining how your phone cabinet will look like, you could actually be very gracious as to do a give away of some.
Note 8

Pixel is king of android (pure androide)...Samsung is just a piss of Google (android) with nuclear Bomb feature🖕
F_A_ SHANTO The pixel is a worthless piece of junk compared to the Note8

DAT Vu why that extra 150$
Vipex you don't have to buy them :p if you want the best camera out there, a good assistant and zero drop on the performance for at least 3-4 years, the pixel 2 is the way to go. Note 8 is amazing btw
Vipex Unfortunately all of them are crazily priced. I will stick to my Nexus 5x for a third year since it is like new, but I would like google to give us something affordable like it used to bring us the affordable nexus line...
Vipex still 500€ too much for a phone
Google wants to be Apple killer, so their strategy is price their beta stage products even more expensive than Apple.
Yeeeeeeeees this is the video I've been waiting for
I’ve always been an apple guy but earlier this year I decided I was going to try out Android, so I bought the Mi Mix, I didn’t enjoy it so I decided to sell it and buy an s8.
I want pixel 2XL's live wallpaper!
Supersaf, you need to test that Portait mode of the Pixel 2 XL. Looks amazing with one camera.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 👍
Very nice work there man! Very thorough! Thumbs up!!!
+Dave Brathwaite 👍🏾😊

😅😅😅😅
You want a Like??! OK I gave you one.
Another awesome video! Keep up the great work :)
Galaxy note 8 ;)
Very nice video saf bro.. you are very fast in comparison video. No one had made so many comparison videos of google pixel 2 and xl 2 till now👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Because all these youtubers are very lazy. These comparation videos, are just them saying stats, we already know. Go on GSM arena and click on compare, now sit behind a camera, a recite everything. Moreover these videos do not neeed to be edited. Wait for the revenues. Remember, doing this, is people's full time jobs.
King the phones
Galaxy Note 8

ĀLĪ ǤHĀNĒM Samsung phones have the greatest frontal hardware and screen display bar none and ok a very good camera which every smartphone has it anyway but...... That is all it! Samsung phones have cheap plasticky backs, poor fingerprint sensor placement, ugly, unsmooth and gimmicky user interface, late updates and poor overall user experience, all about specs that never really translate into anything just raw unused power and superficial. Will rather opt for a not so greatest external aesthetics but with the best Android camera processing, Vanilla buttery Android and amazingly powerful yet simple user interface with which Google's Pixel has
indiosession I had many different phones (Iphone 3,4,4S,6S / Samsung S2,S3,S4,S5,S6 edge and a couple of mini's, S7, Note 2, A5 2017, HTC One Plus, Huawei P10 Plus, Google Pixel, Google Pixel 2 XL(sold it after 3days, because he screen was blue-ish and didn't knew that there was no micro SD slot) and know I bought the Note 8.
J vD god damn you must have some money to buying all those phones...
both great phones no denying that, but I had to pick the pixel for a couple of reasons that I personally require and look for in a phone. dual front facing speakers, and the stock Android and very quick updates. Google are the first to get updates which is a must have for me in a phone, great customer service. most problems with Google are usually fixed with an update very quick. but none the less both phones are great my brother has the note 8 I just preferred the pixel.
note 8 has no competition
the iphone x is competition
TheRadKad Fazo ..with Samsung’s display.
iFail X😂😂
just because it uses samsungs display doesnt mean it's not competition idiot
no
Yes it has, the iPhone X, and pretty much every other Android flagships
ImpRessive, nice review keep up the good work👍
NOTE 8 👍👍👍👍THE BEST PHONE OUT... NO COMPETITION.....
Roman Toribio facts
Roman Toribio a
Roman Toribio the google pixel 2 xl has a display problem but note 8 also has battery problem
Hey Super Saf, can't wait for your camera comparison. The Note 8 has selective focus on the front camera as well please test!
Judging from whatever he told,
Note 8 looks more promising..
It provides better hardware..
And looks like a power house...
Pixel looks like a small toy.
"second camera"
Dont forget the note 8 still has that shitty software layer on it lol
And don't forget the pen. No.... the S-pen
@SuperSaf TV S8/S8+ & Note 8 has a front camera portrait mode as well called Selective Focus which none of the youtube reviewers seem to realise. It works really well in well-lighted environment.
I was forced to get a 128gb on my Pixel XL....after a year I have 85GB left. I ordered the 64GB 2 XL.
Hey saf😀 ! Your videos are Osm. *Subscribed* ♥️
Holy God that Pixel looks like a toy next to the Note!
Thanks
Waiting for galaxy X the nexr big thing......!
need that Super Saf Style camera review! but I'm sure they are both good.
Will that make the assistant continually pop up every time you hit a bump?
good point lol
I think not it's pressure sensitive. It will also learn to differentiate between a real squeeze and other pressures.
It'll probably go off when you first put it in the holder. I currently have a cheap holder that only uses side pressure to hold the device. If any phones have buttons sound the mid way Mark it's a right faff getting it mounted
Google has the best AI technology, so pixel surely knows the real intentional squeeze and other squeezes.
There is squeeze sensitivity settings and you can disable the squeeze feature. So it's not a problem.
people who want google assistant and not Bixby you can change it in the settings so stop complaining and the dedicated Bixby button can become a dedicated google assistant button
(All black version)
For me, it came down to a few things.
Better camera
Stock Android > TouchWiz
Stereo front facing speakers (the front facing being the real winner here)
Also the fingerprint scanner being in a much better location.
There are a few other smaller reasons, but those are the biggest for my personal preferences.
2:23 no headphone jack so go to note 8
SeHuN 97 who cares about a headphone jack...wired headphones are so damn annoying...they just get tangled all the time...start thinking with ur head bro, its not tht serious 😴
eman6343 It is serious for people who want to save money. Wireless would be good if companies didn't use proprietary dongles. This forces you to keep buying their products if u lose and don't have cheaper alternatives. Plus, audiophiles will never go wireless until they can surpass the qualify of sound that only wired headphones offer.
I hate bluetooth headphones, it hurts my head so much.
Anthony Turner or if Bluetooth earphones were cheaper and universal audiophile grade Bluetooth adapted came out for wired headphones.
Great review and loads of tech detail. Thanks mate 👍
A pen? Bixby? Lmao!
and $100 AKG earphones in Samsung, lmao
Aventine u need nokia bomb
Great video Saf! Would also mention you get the Google Home Mini for free if you order the Pixel for a limited time!
Note 8 is better Google is in apple pocket for some reason smh they are not pushing ahead like they did with the nexus phones smh
Troy Riley I was thinking same thing.
Its as if Google are just replicating the iPhones rather than innovating. The iPhone 8 has big top and bottom bezels so Google put the same on the Pixel 2. Then they drop the headphone jack too.
It's almost like Google lost a bet with Apple.
Boxhead 42 I agree
Elgan Sayer that's why the pixel 2 won't sell LMFAO plus it's exclusive to Verizon EPIC fail Google is stupid smh
So happy I got the Note 8 its a beast. Was thinking about the Pixel 2 xl but I honestly dont like how they did the fullscreen look. Too much on the sides, top, and bottom. Really surprised about it not having wireless charging.
is google can't make a beutifull device ?? the camera was amazing but the design??? ohhh nooo
The pixelbook is amazing so yes they can make a beautiful device
Yeaa,, absolutely the beutifull was base on preference. but in my opinion pixel 2 xl had thick bezelll and not soo impressive in screen to body ratio..
Why are all Indians either doing this "..." Or "???"
The always on display you had on the note 8 where did you get it from???
Great work mr Saf. Plz make a video about the phone of the year-2017.
Idiots in 2010 buying a laptop:No dvd drive No buy
Idiots in 2017 buying a phone:NO headphone jack NO buy
xioracky hahahahahahahaha
xioracky yeah but youd still never use DVDs in 2010. people actually use the headphone jack
Na mate cd drives are pointless
You sir are the idiot one. What if youre wireless earphone run out of battery? 😂😂😂
Thank you for the Info and Video!
Its so hard to chose.. I wish I could just combined the best features of each into one phone!.
I look forward to your other videos!
Note 8 > Pixel 2 XL > Iphone 8 plus
ZG Music iPhone X > iPhone 8 plus > Note 8 > Pixel 2 XL
Brilliant video saf. I had initially dismissed the pixel but your video really changed my view on that. Cheers
Pixel 2 XL looks more ugly in front of note 8
Amir Aryan Samsung phones have the greatest frontal hardware and screen display bar none and ok a very good camera which every smartphone has it anyway but...... That is all it! Diyon Fernando Uhh.... Did I stomp on your ego Samsung Fanboy? Poor you
indiosession Yea u did.
indiosession Since its the last day of 2017, I have something to say
Happy New Years.
Pixel XL for the stock fresh Android, fuck that Samsung will get laggy and slow in a 6 months of use, and that useless advanced hardware won't help
Thoughts ?
Samsung for SURE.
Imran Khalil facts
Heck yeah! I love my S7, will get a note 8 someday. :)
when you're gonna upload pixel 2 speed tests ?
Lots of criticism for pixel but it’s comes down to software ... pixel is ahead of the note 8
I’ve also read and heard of note 8 having lag issues already and users having to restart their phones .. just saying
R M agreed. Absolutely nothing beats pure Android
Have you done a V30 vs Note 8 comparassion? Would love to see you do one, I like the way you do it in this format.. I'm thinking about switching from note 8 to V30. I hate Bixby and I find myself not using the pen that much. Note feels to fragmented for me.
Hey saf you are super smart😎😎😎😎
koi na koi chahiye pyar Karne wala
I pre-ordered the 128gb Black Pixel 2xl. I'm ready.
I get about 4-5 hours SOT with my Pixel XL with a smaller battery, so I'm guessing the XL 2 will be better. Again, nobody has mentioned the Google Trade-in program. Last years XL in good condition is worth $410! That's pretty huge!
Note 8 has no competition
romel 4life But it’s still not perfect
nah, note 8 is basically s8+ with smaller battery
Its a fucking beast
romel 4life there are a few problems with the note 8, I actually own one. 1. the camera software is kinda crap, could be much better. 2. the bixby button is not remapable without a third party app. 3. the location of the fingerprint scanner is terrible. 4. it still doesn't have stereo speakers. in every other way, its amazing though.
I really enjoy your reviews. I passed on the Note 8 because I have an s8+ but I have a Pixel 2 xl on order. I have had several Notes and never use the s-pen. The price and the lack of measurable difference from the s8+ are the reasons I passed on it.
This no headphone jack thing is a joke. Who cares about audio quality coming from tiny speakers out of a phone.... seriously!?
Yup, on top of that the Note 8 comes with the best packaged earbuds (tuned by AKG) out of all smartphones... they retail for $99 but more like the quality of a $49 set... still a one two punch with headphone jack and pretty decent buds.
You will, when Samsung puts stereo speakers on the next Galaxy.
Miles Therkelsen And no headphones in the box
SUPERB VIDEO APPRECIATED U R HARD WORK I LOVE ❤️❤️U. CLASSY MAN HVE NO WORDS 😶 LOVE U ❤️❤️❤️.
I currently own a Note 8 but am considering selling it now before it loses more value and getting the pixel pre-order... thoughts?
note 8 best
Note 8 is amazing futuristic and the pixel XL is like iPhone 8 is good but looks old, the performance of the all devices is amazing!!
If only the Pixel XL 2 had a headphone jack. Well thank god we have LG. I will be getting the V30 without any hesitation.
Rico0oG Samsung has the headphone jack you forgot them
If only the V30 had front facing speakers
Does the headphone jack pay your fucking bills or something?
strawberry daily Yes they do. and Samsung offers great devices but I prefer LG for myself.
Abdullah Almajed I would agree with that. but the V30 has so many pros that I would be ok fir not having the front facing speakers.
hey all, do you reckon a phone with a fibreglass body would work? or would it have issues?
Note 8 is better in every single way !
John Potter pixle has 2 front facing speakers dumbass
Except speakers, fingerprint scanner placement, Android experience, music search and overall better camera
Volcom R Us Bitch please, the pixel doesn't even have wireless charging or headphone jack. Plus no one really uses speaker to watch a video.
Volcom R Us also the pixel looks like a child phone
ASH canadian Best Comment I Ever Saw 🤘😂
Can you use Google Assistant hands free? Can it play a specific video without you touching the screen? Can you use it to subscribe to a channel? Can it take a pic, tag people, write a description and send it to Instagram? Can it play and pause YT videos? What is the only thing Google Assistant is useful for? Being a friend to you. Bixby can do all this. I even typed this with Bixby.
Seriously!!!! Comparing Bixby to Google assistant??
Who does that? 😂😂😂😂😂
I'd switch to Android in a heartbeat, if only it was as reliable, smooth and consistent as iOS. I'm tired of Apple's pricing.
Mambutu O'Malley pixel 2 xl? Stock amdroid🙂🤗
Screen brightness stats? How many nits?

Buy note for gimmicks, buy the pixel for a long lasting phone experience.
xioracky You do know Samsung actually updates their phones. They said Oreo is coming before the end of the year. Samsung doesn't even take forever anymore. Plus most of what you get in Oreo the Note already has so you aren't losing out on anything. You still get security updates on time.
xioracky father
Well android is copying samsung's touchwiz features lately so I really dont think samsung users are missing out on a lot.
For people who never use Samsung version of Android, they think that newest version of stock Android is the latest and greatest. They don't know that lots of features added to the latest Android already exist on Samsung phones already. For the most part, Samsung phones users don't miss much from latest stock Android.
those touchwiz features gonna substitute for security patches as well?
The downside of picking Samsung devices are they took super long to update Android.
I'm currently using my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the OS is Android Lollipop.
Cmon Samsung.
Luminto Luhur they only give 2 years of OS updates, and a year of security updates, u should know that😐
Android Lover1219 that's new for me.
Its Note 3 bro. It's really old so you can't really expect. Anyways my father's S6 Edge got Android 7 2 weeks after the release of S8 S8 Plus
That’s the downside of Samsung phones, you have to update them every 2 fucking years or less.
Mrwhosetheboss has uploaded a video like yours at the same time... The titles were the same and the thumbnails were awfully similar...
...Thoughts? ;)
Mitchell Hang thoughts? 90% of tech RUclips's make the same video, around the same time when a new phone is announced to compare it to the competition
