I bought the S23 a few days ago and it's by far the best smartphone I have owned so far. It doesn't have a headphone jack but other than that, it's a perfect device.
Great comparison! I think it depends on who is doing the test and where. I saw some tests the S23 was slightly worse than the Pixel or the iPhone. But I saw some daily vlog videos from the iPhone 14 Pro I was disappointed with the quality. Overall it depends on personal preference. I like Samsung colors. Hopefully, Samsung fixes a "light filter" which is on the photos or videos. It looks warmer. The colors look a bit washed out. The rendering of colors on the S23 screen is also a bit brighter than last year.
Pixel 7 and Galaxy S23 came definitely tricky choices. Had it been their Pro and Ultra versions, respectively, Galaxy S23 Ultra would have been my choice, easily. However, with base variants, it's like choosing between superior camera with great specs along with interesting clean software, and great camera with superior specs with simple minimalistic but filled with tonnes of features and some unnecessary apps.
I SO regretted buying Pixel 7 PRO after my Samsung s8 (2017 year release). Pixel is so primitive even in comparison to my old Samsung and Pixel's processing of photos that make them look BLACK is ridiculous.
@@janedoe12 hey I also have Galaxy S8 (which now broke) and thought of buying Pixel 7. Is it really blackening the pics that much? Would you suggest to stick with Samsung and possibly get S21?
Pixel has the best and sharpest main camera, iphone is a close 2nd, samsung (~20% smaller sensor) is usually worse than both. However they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Zoom and wide is better on Samsung, iphone has a yellow tint, samsung has a blue tint, pixel is great overall, but often requires adjustments to make photo look better than iphone. I was surprised by the absence of lens flare in iphone which was probably done in software, it gives an impression that is sharper than Pixel (it's not) . Overall they are all great, the sensor size (not pixels) increased by almost double in all 3 phones in comparison to 2020-2021 phones which means any of this phones camera is better by a big leap than any other 1-2 years old phones
Thank you so much for this video. I really appreciate the extensive review and I could really see the strengths of each of the phones. Maybe it's just me, but the S23 gives your skin a weird, translucent look. It's almost like you have a cold in some pics, and in others, it looks like there's light beneath your skin trying to shine through. Kind of like how sunlight shines through the cartilage of an ear.

The Best camera has iPhone. There is too much contrast in Samsung and Pixel is too dark. And once more, you can take 8K VIDEOS in Samsung but resolution of the display is 1080p though.

The only bad thing about this comparison is that all the pictures were taken under Germany's cloudy skies. I know it's beyond your control but only that takes away from this comparison, other than that it's a great side by side!
Very good and detailed review. S23 is high quality 8k recording camera, while any iPhone is just low (compared to) resolution of 4k. For video iPhone can't match Samsung.
I think iPhone wins in the video category for sure for normally recording videos. They are so much sharp and the detail. There's huge difference. Never been a n iPhone user but still i think it is what it is. Liked Google's overall photos while Samsung for more ready to upload social media pictures - more pop up colours and punchy looking. They can be bought according to different purposes
Pixel 7 is hands down a better choice, especially considering it's a lot cheaper and also often on sale. At the end of the day just buy whatever suits you more
Samsung wins it comfortably. Also, there are plenty of other options available on a Samsung like the pro mode, raw mode, 50 mp full resolution mode, etc.
it`s weird to see you complain about Samsung smoothing your face but no mentioning if the beauty filter is on of off. Maybe the first photos would be much better if that setting was turned of....
The camera outputs of pixel look trash in my regard. They just make faces uglier to make real tone. And their portraits sucks everytime. You can have better portrait on 200$ galaxy phones xD.
I own the iPhone 13 mini because of the Size but I really do not like the iphones photo processing. Find the Samsung and Pixel much better , more natural and a netter danymic range
In any situation, the over saturation of Samsung just isn't ok. It might be a personal opinion but I want my photos looking natural and I want to edit them after for different colour tones I will. Also 8k is so pointless. Phone screens are 2k and most TVs are 4k. No one really has 8k TVs to show the 8k content.
An 8K video on a 4K screen still looks better than a 4K video on a 4K screen. It's not a huge difference, but you will also see that 2K and 4K look better on 1080p screens than 1080p videos do.
Honestly, most phones have gotten neck and neck in most regards for day-to-day experience (especially cameras), but I think come September, the iPhone and Pixel are just going to be miles ahead of the Galaxy in the camera department. Their computational photography just seems to be a lot better for realistic looking photos, to me.
Samsung computational photography has come a long way. The pixel used to have a lead but Samsung is ahead imo, the S23 series are new and will get better with updates just like the S22 series, but even right now they are the best in photography and video is really good too compared to the terrible videos on the S22 series. Apple computational photography is behind though with HDR issues and always tending towards a warm white balance and taking inaccurate pictures for people of color (Samsung does this too), their only strength is video and the S23 series are a close second now.
@Big bro I will say, one place I cannot stand iPhone is with skin tones. Good point about the possibility of updates having the possibility of bringing the s23 that much better. The hardware is definitely there

I would give the IPHONE the win for the videos and pixel 7 for the photos and Samsung for balance between the two that is why I would pick the samsung.
I am owning the s23. Couldn't be a better phone
Use Pro-Mode on the S23(Plus). Colors and dynamic Range way better as normal App. I had the Pixel 7 for 1 week. Good camera but little to cool in colors and lift shadows often too much.
Pixel 7 has no Pro Mode and can not shot in 50mp Raw. Only 12mp Raw with limited control.
Samsung has few more option in Pro.
I have a S23+ and that's True. I think the s23 îs the best Phone at Main camera .I like it so much
@@devdasbalici5481 I've been reading and thinking a lot about whether I should take the S23 or not. That's it, your comment will be the last one I will read!) I will no longer think about it. I'm going to buy S23)
@@ACMEnableI have the phone s23+ and the battery is incredible, I'm sure s23 will also have a good battery life
Wow i really can't believe now portrait mode in iphone 14 is the worst portrait mode ever, i've seen
You should zoom in the pics to see if they are crispy everywhere not only in general
Samsung is fun guys, Google can be for normal users who don't care much, iPhone for videos or for show-offs😅 as simple as that😂
The only bad thing about this comparison is that all the pictures were taken under Germany's cloudy skies. I know it's beyond your control but only that takes away from this comparison, other than that it's a great side by side!
Can someone tell me why DXO mark gives the Samsung ultra 11th in rankings???
Would love to see the sports mode feature
I can't wait to buy s23+ these days, i found the 256 version for $1100
7:14 bro put his life on the line for science amazing
you realize the samsung has a raw mode to get photo without processing
Google looks better quality camera
We need to consider prices when we talking about these phones
Very good and detailed review. S23 is high quality 8k recording camera, while any iPhone is just low (compared to) resolution of 4k. For video iPhone can't match Samsung.
I think iPhone wins in the video category for sure for normally recording videos. They are so much sharp and the detail. There's huge difference. Never been a n iPhone user but still i think it is what it is. Liked Google's overall photos while Samsung for more ready to upload social media pictures - more pop up colours and punchy looking. They can be bought according to different purposes
Sosyal medya için hangisi iyidir ?
Thank you so much for this. This has helped me choose my next phone, which will be the galaxy S23.
Wating for this ❤ tnx man 💚💚 love from Bangladesh
brother i am waiting for your reviews ❤️❤️
your review is best 🖤🖤
Please do a comparison of the S23 vs xiaomi 13 vs one plus 11,thats a better comparison of the same generation of camera on base sets
I will go with the phone which has the highest point on the primary camera module.
I own a pixel 7 and i am pretty sure that portrait 3x is way too better on Samsung. But main lens and ultrawide camera dosent catch upto pixels ❤
Picked the s22 am only not happy with to much sharpening images
Pixel and Iphone have ultra sharpening function, that's why it appears that they have much details. Google it and you will find more
Bro please do Camera Battle between Honor Magic 5 Ultimate (not Pro Version) VS Nubia Z50 Ultra 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hello Sir what gimbal did you use to hold your phones
Pixel 7 is hands down a better choice, especially considering it's a lot cheaper and also often on sale.
At the end of the day just buy whatever suits you more
How did u zoomed 30x with picel 7 it have only 8x zoom ?
You didn't use telephoto lens on S23???? Why???? That's not fair comparison for portrait mode
I thought that the iPhone 14 was gonna have really bad cameras because when you zoom, it looks not good, but surprisingly, it's pretty good
I can see loyal and supportive S23 users😅🙌
Pixel 7 for the price is a no brainer IMHO.
how about use the 50mp mode on the s23 and remove scene optimizer??
If you could also include their party apps camera quality or picture quality, it would be of great help!
Peace ✌️
What..?
@@lilmario0 he meant third party apps 😅😅
Can You Please Compare Sony Xperia 5 IV or Xperia 1 IV VS These Phones...???
Waiting
The camera outputs of pixel look trash in my regard. They just make faces uglier to make real tone. And their portraits sucks everytime. You can have better portrait on 200$ galaxy phones xD.
congratulations you are part of my Shortlisted winners...
Text me on telegram to acknowledge your prize 🎁🎊🎊
I own the iPhone 13 mini because of the Size but I really do not like the iphones photo processing. Find the Samsung and Pixel much better , more natural and a netter danymic range
What about Pixel 7 video? is it better than iphone11, 12 or not?
Im Waiting for pixel 8pro
Have the image details and processing of base s23 improved after the updates?
Watching your video on an S23.
@@versus_com it will be so subtle to the point you'll have to get right up to the TV to tell. So essentially, pointless lol
Just turn off scene optimizer
@@blueelectric05 that's one thing yh but Samsung's typically oversaturate anyway, it's just in their software.
6:47 Oh, The MKBHD background.
Finally a video from someone who isnt an apple fanboy
The hardware is definitely there
@@zachm7595 yep, happy Samsung kept a telephoto on their base model, it's very useful, I prefer it to an ultrawide because I rarely use the ultrawide but I zoom a lot. Also the 3x is perfect for portraits.
@@zachm7595 but iphone has the best skin tones of all, samsung alyways shift too much blue or green, making zombie photos.
@Patrick I'm super pale, and it always does more of a red tint to my face. Pixel always matched my skin the most accurately (though I'm sure skin tone accuracy is all relative to the individuals tone.)
