"alright, we're dead"
Hollow Knight in a nutshell
so true
@@NamelessToast profile picture checks out
People going for steel soul achievements: I’m four parallel universes ahead of you
@@loly8844 steel soul achievements are not that hard to get because you can save and quit when you're close to dying and when you go back you'll respawn at a bench with full hp
@@miki2003pl yeah, the only reason why they’re the “hardest” achievements is because people are scared lol, I myself started a steel soul run 4 days ago and had a heart attack after almost dying to a primal aspid
Just a friendly reminder that we are not a cult
YUP NO CULT HERE HEHEHE
Indeed! If you look over our recent rituals, gatherings, and chants, you will find that we are indeed not a cult. Thank you for the reminder!
I’ve heard Mormons and Scientologists say the same thing.
No cult here to be found

Mossbag explaining why the knight didn't break his legs on that fall:
Bugs are immune to fall damage
@@eeveeextreme Ghost isnt a bug
Ghost doesn't have knees
yes
All of the above
Bugs are so light that falling from high places does almost no damage to them, therefore the knight can fall from wherever the hell they want and not receive any kneecap injuries
As we know from kurzgesagt
However, if an elephant fell form that high it would be pasta sauce everywhere
Terminal velocity -intensifies- recedes
He isn’t a bug...
@@prestonlaird5797 Tree-Worm-Void thing
Actually, as Crow said, "nobody could survive that fall", meaning that 'nothing could live through it', and the Knight, as personified Void, counts as nothing, so Crow really just said that the Knight can survive that fall and that's why the Knight isn't dead.
This is basically the same line of logic as Arya killing the white walkers and Eowyn killing the Nazgul. I love it.
Yeah that checks out
* proceeds to go into a five hour rant as to why canonically the knight actually wouldn't have broken his legs in that fall *
I wanna hear this
The explanation is actually pretty simple, when was the last time you saw a bug die from fall damage xd
Because video games
@@shadowcoconut no but gosh darn it I wanted to hear the five hour version
@@obsidiousmarical3498 heh the power of having time to waste. (big spoilers) BASICALLY, the knight is not a bug, well it is but it is not that simple. The knight is in fused with void, a magical substance that grants many advantages and disadvantages (mainly advantages towards the one using the substance, not the poor creature infused with it). Void is not definable by what type of matter it takes as throughout the game it takes many forms such as gases floating in areas, pools that you can swim in and solid formations like rocks or even a body (hint, hint). The knight therefore is made of void(unrelated but I straight up was about to type the knight is made of lore, which isn’t inaccurate). The knight was not only this substance from birth. You see the knight was created through the normal means, if the normal means mean given birth to at least 10,000 (probably more), and chucking them down a huge death abyss called, the abyss, where they all die and are reincarnated as nameless, voiceless, thoughtless (kinda Of), will-less (also a big kinda), and genderless group of little shells and cloths with a shade attached (VERY IMPORTANT, just because a character fits that description does NOT mean they are made of void, it is two slippery of a slope to speculate about and you are better off using context clues rather than appearance). The shade is the black, void creature that lacks the cloth and shell. They all were supposed to stay in that abyss and never escape, except for one. No it is not the player. It is the hollow knight (not the player). The hollow knight was created with the soul goal of encasing the radiance (evil sun god killing bugs). It is a loooooooong story but it’s details do not matter to our protagonist’s origins and abilities. All you have to know is that these void creature were made to stop this threat and the one considered most hollow would be that one, casting the rest away. Hint, the one chosen was not in fact hollow and the main quest is about finding a way into where the hollow knight is and changing the kingdoms future. OH YEAH, did I tell you it was the king and queen’s children tossed in the abyss. Yeaaaaaah, not the coolest father/mother move. BUT ANYWAY, that two is a long story so we will leave it alone. SO, how did we escape. How did the players journey start, wellll we do not know. It is an eternal mystery of this game with only theories to speculate about. Regardless, they escaped, some of them. Many are dead, if they are not dead in the abyss they are dead outside the abyss. The knight, our playable character, is not dead and finds itself revising its old home, just this time it is on the top of the kingdom, ready to explore, conquer, and fulfill the task its dad had abandoned it for, to prove him wrong and save hallownest(name of kingdom, sorry, should of mentioned that earlier). Thus, with the journey ahead of it, it jumps down below, surviving the fall, because it is a void infused bug with something to prove. Moral of the story, child murder bad, watch mossbag, I swear we’re not a cult, praise lord GORB, and remember that hornet is not void. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Little does he know that all bugs are immune to fall damage.
Seriously, throw a ant of a plain and it will land with any injuries
all bugs you say
@@teeth_haver yes
@@teeth_haver alright time for you to fall out of a plane to prove his theory
Because ants are tiny and so is their terminal velocity. Judging by the fact that the "rain" in the City of Tears doesn't instantly drown anything it touches and that Hornet was once said to be able to throw her needle several yards, the bugs of Hallownest are much larger than regular bugs, and the Knight is argurably around the size of a human child.
@@Dinoman972 that argument has no grounds since it's clearly artistic license. The physics of this game are far too unrealistic to be used as evidence for any argument. Furthermore, there are plenty of things in the game that would be impossible if the characters were closer to humans in size. Though they lack consistency and realism, the physics do seem to lean towards the characters being bug sized.
If we were to bring real world physics into play;
-the City of Tears rain system would be physically impossible, at most it would be a steady drip from the roof. Said roof would cave in from erosion long before anything even close to resembling rain began falling.
-furthering that idea, caverns as large as those seen in game would collapse if the characters were human sized. They are simply way too large and wide, with nowhere near enough support.
-particles are very clearly visible in the air and are relatively large compared to the characters, something which is never seen at large scales.
-the characters' movements resemble that of real tiny creatures such as bugs.
Considering all of this can be disregarded as artistic license, the fact that there's rain in the City of Tears is no better proof that the characters are big than the movements proving that they are small. That all being said, if we applied a real-life physics filter to Hallownest, the rain is pretty much the only thing that doesn't indicate they're tiny.
As for Hornet's needle thing, it's probably relative. Several yards sounds much more impressive than several inches.
He broke his kneecaps. F for my boy

bRO I LOVE THIS GAME AND WOULD LOOOOOVE A SERIES WHERE YOU PLAYED IT
He did play it on twitch :) he just finished one of the endings last night
It'll probably be uploaded to the VOD channel
@@jasonharman9860 Yes, but you can watch it quicker by watching the Twitch VODs; the RUclips VODs are really late from what I understand (:
No knees, only Screen Transition
Don’t you know crow, the Knight has no knees. For he is made of darkness 🖤🖤🖤
in the vod he zooms in and sees that the knight actually does have knees just very small ones.
This was a cheeky plug lol
*No bones to break*
a person can definitely not survive that, but a bug can
Please continue the game and put the playthrough on the vod channel, I feel like a lot of people other than myself would very much enjoy it.
I need a hollow knight series now
ngl this is pantheon 5, I've tried about 180 ish time to beat it, and i keep dying at Pure vesel ;-;
Hooboy this is gonna be a good one
"Alright we're dead".
Oh no oh god YES it's gonna be AWESOME to see you play this is I'm prepared to laugh my butt of
Sounds about right.
Bugs can survive some crazy things.
OH GOD MY KNEES
Actually, bugs tend to survive big falls. Ever threw an ant from a skyscraper?
@@awdksdlsjd the skyscraper survived.
His poor knees
Bugs could ironically live that fall
nice
Once upon a time I fell that height, my knees were fucked too
Welp
*there goes his kneecaps*
Wait, how does he have a different botw icon? Mine looks like the image on the box art, I just noticed this
Pretty sure that's the European version of the icon. He probably has his Nintendo account's region set to Europe for some reason
Oh, I didn’t know there were multiple versions :o
Im gonna follow his gameplay through the vod channel bc i can't catch the streams. Sorry
Holy shit thats the fastest death ive ever seen
I mean, bugs are able to survive giant falls due to mass and terminal velocity, it makes sense
Rip
You can't break void
Bugs don’t take fall damage, their terminal velocity is too low
Nah the Knight just had Mipha's Grace.
bad ending LULW
Not to be a nerd but because bugs have such a low mass you could throw them off the empire state building and they would live practically unscathed :P
Eh, I’ve seen bugs live from crazy heights he’ll be fine.😅
The only thing this video is missing is a sponsor
But...! But you’re a bug! You can survive falls hundreds of times your height without a scratch!
Why is his BOTW different than mine?
dude he doesnt have knees
He doesn't have knees
Mario
Bugs don't die from fall damage in real life.
It seems that PointCrow isn't aware that bugs don't take fall damage. They're so small that their terminal velocity is only enough to stun them briefly.
I don't k exosquelette
I mean, the characters are bugs, so they probably don't get hurt?
we need hollow knight
I don't think the Knight has any bones, because he's just a shade with a helmet. So he would be fine, Right?
But.. He's a bug..
Pointcrow needs to finish his biology lessons smh
Everyone talking about how bugs don't take damage, well, sorry to be even nerdier but we see water drops in this world and they have a set size, water drops can't be smaller than a drop of water, so that bug? That bug is human sized. Now I haven't crunched the numbers (because I have no idea how to) but we can't assume it's a small bug falling a proportionally large distance. Das a big bug baby
Considering the jump size it'll probably wouldn't die from a fall
i dont think it'd fit very much with the rest of the game and its art style for fucking massive rain drops, plus it being a game gives it a bit of creative liberty
You're a bug. A bug totally survives a 10m fall.
Ok but you gotta still play it
this is one of my favourite games, glad you found a way to ruin it!
Not sure why every streamer's chat has decided to recommend this game. It's a really fun game and all, but it seems weird that it would get this much attention now
Is this serious?
F
Hollow Knight is a pretty cool game, but I've noticed a big issue
It's full of bugs
(Wow so original I know /s)
Misgendering the knight smh
