MORNING! Let’s go ON THROTTLE together in this Mustang GT! Lori & I are very proud of how this review turned out. Make sure to watch all of the great exterior flybys Lori captured. Also I have a ton of twisty bits footage! Thank you for watching and your awesome support!
Great job Joe! Nothing like waking up with a cup of Joe and the man the legend Joe Raiti. 👍🏻This GT is great and only builds upon the Ecoboost in many ways. This makes me excited to see when the Dark Horse is coming!
I feel the exact same way. Been wanting a red gt my whole life. Never thought it would happen until I'm like 70. 😢 It may be happening in the next 6 months if I find my spec for the right price.
@@mabufinneser7208 they fit into the same class in the modern age. The difference between ‘muscle car’ and ‘pony car’ is based off of 60’s terminology and doesn’t really mean anything for modern cars.
It's been a while since I felt excited for a car, especially for a Mustang. Thanks Joe and Lori, now I have something to think about the rest of the day.
Joe I haven’t sleep yet, because i want to see you Driving the Mustang Gt, because no one does it like you do. Your reviews are always on point, always organized. Thank you So much for bringing the first drive of this brand new Ford Mustang Gt 2024.🙏🏽
Just woke up and this is the first thing in the morning I want to watch on RUclips. I love how you make car videos Joe and Lori is just the best videographer in the car business. Love the new mustang but I just purchased my first V8 muscle car the Challenger Scatpack. No regrets love em all American muscle. Thanks guys!
My Dad bought a brand new black 2011 Mustang GT Premium the first year of the 4 cam 5.0, his first ever Mustang. He was so proud and so happy. He did an exhaust and a tune and enjoyed some local drag track time. His name is Ross (my middle name) so he got personalized plates ROSS 302. Sadly, he passed away two years later. I now have my Dad's license plates on my black 2020 GT 401A PP2 (yes, I know that my 5.0 is actually a 307.) The shared love of fun cars is a powerful emotion, thank you Joe for keeping the spirit alive
That’s wild. As a young man fresh out of college, working my first real job, I bought a brand new 2002 Mustang GT in Mineral Grey color, with all the options I wanted on it for $23,000 out the door. It was easily affordable to me then. Now as a 45 year old, working in my career for 18 years, this new Mustang GT is completely out of reach for me. The price of new cars is crazy. I doubt I’ll ever buy another new car again.
In regards to new car pricing, I feel as if cars weren't as disposable to so many people the price wouldn't be as painful. Prices are still crazy, but if someone buys a car they truly love and plan on keeping it for 10+ years, it doesn't seem as bad paying a high price. Provided that person can afford it in the first place.
@@noodles9345 Yea. I keep my cars longer than average, and I used to mostly pay cash and just finance a little bit but now, I can’t save enough to make much impact towards the price, meaning the payments are much higher for someone like me. I can’t afford a car payment over $500, that’s my absolute limit and it’s still a lot for me.
I honestly like how Ford is still not throwing on a rev limiter and allowing us to rev it unlike most other Car manufacturers are doing nowadays, but they seem to be really going for a final round with the Coyote V8 which I really appreciate.
Oh yeah twin throttle bodies and if you make any mods the car will go into limp mode and your warranty will be voided via an over the air update all for a few extra horsepower. Yeah ford went all out. No rev limiter cool. And I love the added Camaro Inspired features. Ford really went all out and it’s such a value starting at 50 grand.
Love the way had fun with this video. Lots of good information. Never had a Mustang but ordered a Dark horse with handling package. If I'm going to do it, it's all or nothing! Thanks and love watching you over the past year!
I really enjoyed the comparison between yesterday's eco-boost Mustang and today's GT! Personally, I'd be happy with either model. Although, that GT has an awesome exhaust note! However, I'd have to get seats that are both heated and ventilated living here in the California central valley.
Hey Joe, great review. I drove the GT yesterday myself. My son owns a Ford dealership. The car is definitely impressive. I sat in the car playing with both screens for about 30 minutes prior to ever driving it. I had absolutely no issues at all using the AC controls while driving. It really only takes time to get familiar enough to know where to look for the controls. I was very surprised at how soon that I adapted to the two screens. The level proximity to my eyes makes viewing the screens second nature and doesn’t distract from driving the car!!! Ford has hit a grand slam with the S650. I drove a 2022 GT PP1 car immediately afterwards and found that I ultimately desired the S650 over the S550 hands down no chance at all to select the 6th gen over the 7th generation. The GT feels like sitting in a cockpit, as a Fighter Pilot, I noticed this immediately!!! I attended a seminar last month put on by the Ford engineers and they reviewed 113 new & improved areas on the new GT. The S650 is definitely a new and improved generation by leaps and bounds. The steering, braking, handling, acceleration, transmission (both 6M & 10Spd auto were enhanced), seat position, sound (from the exhaust & B&O stereo), comfort and ability to push the car with more confidence obviously makes this S650 a better Mustang GT. The aerodynamics, downforce are also improved. This Mustang has the lowest coefficient of drag of any Mustang!!! More downforce of any GT. It is soundly an improvement as a new generation should be. Ford kicked ass on this S650. Also the engineers stated that Ford released the ECM encryption to Whipple, RTR & another company. So most new owners, should by this time next year, have the ability to mod their S650 just like they would have modded their S550. We were told that by having the over the air company updates that Ford is not legal to change your enhanced modifications on your ECM. Granted many people are not open to change. That’s understandable. But I really didn’t like the rear end of the GT at the September reveal but seeing it in person yesterday I completely changed my opinion and absolutely like the back side better now. The painted panel, as opposed to the past cars back panel being black, changes the appearance significantly and I changed my opinion after seeing the new tail lights and lower diffuser area when comparing the two generations side by side. I believe we will see numerous Mustang GTs on the road!!! Lori you did a fantastic filming job as always. Great work by you both!!!! Blessings to your family!!!🔥💪💕😎🇺🇸✝️
@jamesdean3548: hey I provided my input. Nothing suspicious here. It is a Ford product; you mean you don’t know what you’re getting in a Ford???? Heavens-sake dude, I have zonks: Ford should have put the Tremec 6 spd in the GT, but Ford is cheap. That’s why I ordered a Dark Horse. I was pissed that the Recaro seats didn’t come heated/ventilated as advertised at the September reveal but Ford decided since the normal Recaro seats are 36 pounds lighter they made the proper decision to save on weight. There should be an option to delete the back seats like in the previous GT 500, but you cannot do that on the DH. The dead pedal needs to be larger & match the other pedals. There are numerous zonks but after all it is not a Porsche, Mercedes Benz nor BMW. Overall it is a much improved Mustang and that’s why I ordered it. I have better vehicles in my stable. Be positive, people respond to good attitudes not BS Comments!!!
All those updates and improvements, but still the Chinese (Gettrag) transmission that falls apart. The Tremec should be in every V-8 Mustang, regardless of the package. The Camaro rear fenders are a pretty nice upgrade, too.
You have by far the best reviews on youtube. I sit back and cant stop laughing at your comments, keep it up! As a Mustang owner and racer, you are bang on with the reviews.
RTR Vehicles already has an upgrade package for the S650. It wont take long for others to follow, and they are making this new Mustang to be more easily modify-able,
Ok, let me make this a little more clear, since you don’t know anything. This car won’t be tuneable by people like Lund for example, the best mustang tuner out there anytime soon. RTR, roush, saleen etc doesn’t count as tuning compared to Lund. Anyone that’s not directly tied or that works with ford, will not be able to tune this anytime soon.
My man! been waiting for you to review this. No one else drives the cars like you during their reviews. You actually get to see what the car is like performance wise and in regular driving at the angles we actually want (the road!). Maybe get a drone up for a couple shots of the twisty bits that'd be awesome. Would love to do it for absolutely free!!!
Joe I enjoyed the on throttle action especially with the 5.0 liter v8 and ripping it through the twisty bits. Joe I would go with the dark horse because of the tremec in yellow or green or grabber blue.

Would love to see you hop in a 2023 GT Premium PP1 and compare the 2, which one may be worth getting (Last S550 vs the first S650) now that you have experienced the differences!
Joe and Lori, welcome to Cali! I've driven and ridden cars and motorcycles up and down Angeles Crest Highway since way back. Thanks for doing the Mustang reviews here and keep up the good work!
My main 2 problems with this new model is the rear bumper and info screens. The bumper has way too much plastic trim. Comes too high up the bumper. The info screens are already outdated looking. Big bezels and I don’t like the panoramic. The previous digital gauges were perfect. If we get a 2 year refresh addressing these 2, then I’m in.
You nailed it my two complaints i have also. Screens are god awful and the elantra rear end with the black plastic is terrible. Plastic looks cheap for a 50k car and the black will be fading in a few years. Not sure how these things got approved in the design phase
@@RaitisRidesas always you delivered a fantastic review. Watched the ecoboost and convertible as well. Wanted to pull the trigger on a s550 pp2 but I'm glad I waited till the s650. Very excited to put in my order. Your review definitely answered my questions. Thanks you

I'll need to see the pros and cons of this one vs the DH. Thinking I definitely want one of these, but just gotta be sure. Joe and Lori, thanks so much for what y'all do! This was a great video! Keep it up!
Unpopular opinion, I don’t like the the 2024 Mustang. I just bought a 2022 GT, and love that body style sooo much, so I might be a little biased, this body just doesn’t do it for me. As my brother showed me the thumbnail at a first quick glance I thought it was a Camaro. The back looks ok in my opinion, but the rest of the car is not for me. The engine looks insane and is probably my favorite part of the car. It kinda looks like a new electric Hyundai vehicle from the front if you debadge everything. Again I just bought a 2022 like 3 days ago, so I’m like still in my honeymoon phase. But this style is just not for me.
I agree the Camaro and Mustang front grills look so lame. Not to mention all these cars are so overpriced. I'd wait a year or two and buy a low mileage used model.
@@imbatman3620 I think they look so alike and too futuristic for me. I feel like Ford hired the same person that designed the Camaro to do this Mustang. But definitely recommend buying a 2 year old car with low mileage. That’s definitely the way I’d recommend it. I got my ‘22 Mustang with 7600 miles and payed $45.6K for it. And I’m in love. I went $5K over my budget but got an absolute beast of a car. They originally wanted $48K before all the paperwork and got it down to $45.6K paperwork included.
I sold my 2022 GT in preparation for this one. Debating on getting the GT or the Dark Horse. The Dark Horse probably is going to be marked up all the way to the moon. Thanks for this video Joe and Team!
Traded my 2019 stingray with a 7 speed for this a few days ago. I have 2 more vettes, I really do like this car and the getrag manual transmission is fine, it does what it needs to do. You can really feel the power in this thing!

Thank you for letting me share it with you!
So cool!!
Glad you had fun, you know it’s good when you have that smile while you driven hard!!😬😎
You better believe it!
That Mustang is Lightning McQueen.. Ka-chow!!
You are so spot on the money!
You are the best car reviewer!
That means the world thank you!
I totally understand your viewpoints!
@@RaitisRides great video as always tho
@@Sesameseedbandit I appreciate your support!
I don’t want a Mustang with huge I pads in my face ! 😮
You nailed it my two complaints i have also. Screens are god awful and the elantra rear end with the black plastic is terrible. Plastic looks cheap for a 50k car and the black will be fading in a few years. Not sure how these things got approved in the design phase
Joe awesome video! Does the cad feel any faster compared to the gen 3 5.0? Thanks!
Oh yes it does! Turns in quicker as well.
Great review 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for saying that!
@@RaitisRidesas always you delivered a fantastic review. Watched the ecoboost and convertible as well. Wanted to pull the trigger on a s550 pp2 but I'm glad I waited till the s650. Very excited to put in my order. Your review definitely answered my questions. Thanks you
@@no50svo that is so very fantastic!
Raiti is such a talented man for explaining
i love his passion and energy even though it could be too much for someone but i like it
hope my english makes sense
Thank you Lori for your hard work.🙏🏽
She is the best in the biz!
My pleasure!
@@loriraiti4924you are awesome!
@@RaitisRidesyes Joe She’s the best in the biz, no doubt about that.
my question is.. do you recommend getting a stop the hop kit for this car or is it made so well that a stop the hop kit wont be needed
American muscle 💪🏾 💪🏾
You know it
When American muscle has a higher redline than CTR… never would’ve seen this coming! Love the review thanks
I'll need to see the pros and cons of this one vs the DH. Thinking I definitely want one of these, but just gotta be sure. Joe and Lori, thanks so much for what y'all do! This was a great video! Keep it up!
The Pros is that it's a mustang, so it means the crash trend will remain active.
Cons, made of plastic mostly.
Cons its gonna be hard to tune and mod
@@elchido3517 Dorky response award! Congrats
It's an amazing sports car! Revised & better than ever. Cons are near zero! Facts.
@@m2savage210 Not at all. Roush Racing, Steeda & Saleen been tuning Mustangs for 30yrs. Are you like 20yrs old? 😆
Comparing MangaRide suspension to reading braille is the best comparison I have ever head... LOL! Thanks Joe and Lori!
Thanks for taking the time to say that!
Beautiful car
I love Rapid Red
14 mpg city goodness that’s horrific!! It’s 2024 guys come on.
Joe hits another home run. Love the wheels. Ford did a good job here.
Joe, I hope you review the 10speed GT or Dark-horse soon, and in the future, one of these with a Whipple on it!
It is coming so stay tuned!
That’s a Gorgeous Camaro !!!!
I se what you did there!
An avocado and a bottle of kombucha to wash it down 😂
Sometimes I even wonder where I come up with this stuff!
😋
Disappointed As a mustang owner looks like a base model No aggression at all solid 5 out if 10
There’s a typo in the title of this video. You accidentally put Mustang instead of Camaro.
Excellent review as always though.
I see what you did there!
*Are they still including the box of tampons in the center console?*
Interesting
Now we're cooking with fire ☄️
V8 fire!
Always the best reviews ! Thanks.
Thanks for saying that! You are so very welcome!
I sold my 2022 GT in preparation for this one. Debating on getting the GT or the Dark Horse. The Dark Horse probably is going to be marked up all the way to the moon. Thanks for this video Joe and Team!
You are so very welcome! I hope you can get one!
just order one homie dealer will agree to msrp, its a mustang aint no way id be paying mark ups. I got my blackwing under msrp
@@bwSteenblackwing .... Badass car my friend. How are you enjoying it?
Neither , get a 2022 gt500
@@emudshit I’m not doing +100k for a Mustang. I would go C8 at that point.
Thanks Raiti & Lori 💯💯👍👍
You are so very welcome!
Man that color and interior is awesome. Your living the dream Joe!
Thank you for letting me share all the action with
Dave and Kelly of All Terrain Nation ordered Rapid Red for their 2024 GT. Delivery this week or next week. Their 2022 Bronco is Rapid Red.
Woke up for this one
Best way to start your day!
@@RaitisRidesdo you like your Shelby more or the gt?
@@Bleseddd1 I still have to go with my Shelby! There is no substitute for the Voodoo!
Traded my 2019 stingray with a 7 speed for this a few days ago. I have 2 more vettes, I really do like this car and the getrag manual transmission is fine, it does what it needs to do. You can really feel the power in this thing!
Sucks they kept the MT 82 6 speed in that car. I loved my 5.0 that the MT 82 is junk
Absolutely!!! Why oh why would Ford keep that junk problematic transmission when they have an available Tremec used in other Mustangs.
Get a Dark Horse.
@@RaitisRides for 70 grand I'll buy a ZL1 like you did lol
Love your GT review. Ready to buy my next Mustang GT Baby........!!!!!
That side view sure looks a lot like my 2022 Camaro.
You are not the first to say that!
Looks great Joe.
I feel the same way Manuel!
I've always been a Chevy fan, but this exhaust sounds awesome.
Ford got the sound right
Camaro ss has the best sound by far, I like starting it in track mode....awesome
Ya put away the socks! Lol ❤ from Australia Joe& Lauren you guys are the best!❤
We appreciate you!
Ford owes you commission for about 50,000 Mustang GTs, after watching your video and your test drive! Very Nice Inputs and perspective, as always!!! Thanks for showing All of US what it’s all about! Sounded like beautiful music playing… loving it !!!🐎💯😎🤩
