- After installing UV light in my RedSea Reefer 250 for 6 hours inside my display tank. UV light killed my saltwater fish.
Day after all fish died some look really sick and stop eating and hours later died.
DO NOT USE BARE UV LIGHT IN TANK. USE ONLY ENCLOSED UV LAMP SO THAT FISH OR HUMAN CANNOT SEE THAT LIGHT. ---MOST IMPORTANT..
Thank you. Yes will never do it again.
This is something that needs brought up, you shouldn't expose yourself to.it either
I agree with you. Was big mistake
You cant expose the fish to the UV light! The UV ligjt has to be in a sump with no live orgasm or the UV light can be inside a hang on back filter as long as the light does not come out to any live stock!
Uv light needs to be in sump or enclosed. Away from direct fish contact.
I learn from my mistake and also returned that one. Will try to get better brand next time. Thx
Oh that is too bad.
Sorry you lost your fish
mine died too :(
UV lights should never be exposed like this. For yourself and any other animals.
This type of light might go to a sump but Can potentially kill good bacterias. Sorry for your fishes
Thank you.
Oh sorry

Sorry to hear. It was also big mistake I made.
Uvc light kills pretty much anything living. Why would you do this?
I've only watched 4 videos about it after stumbling across this subject and knowing nothing about it before and I know that you shouldn't leave this light on and exposed like this in a room with living creatures that you don't want to kill or blind.
Was big mistake…
oh wow sorry
wow sorry
