❤️🔥Am a Yazoo and Moyet fan from the start!52yo,Germany! Came across this making me backtrack and getting the old vinyls out on my record player!Thanx for that!🔊
I like it but still think the original is better. I think she should of done something in between the two. Sorry not knocking this version Alison you got a God’s gift of a voice. I think this version works better for people today maybe but I just love your Yazoo version because I was bought on that version. Alison you sound good in everything you do because your voice is just beautiful it makes angels cry with happiness.
@@banyera Yes She Did and Recorded it With YAZ/Yazoo, You and Me Both. (I have a First Pressing.) But Like Rod Steward Covering Oh La La, which he Wrote and Recorded with the FACES. It Is a COVER Non the Less.
Ruined a perfect ode by trying to make it commercially attractive. I agree this woman is effing incredible (i have always been and do remain a fan), but this rendition, in no way, creates the same emotional atmosphere of the original. It was the spirit of the piece that spoke to me. And this leaves me cold.
Her voice will always shine, and this is respectful for what it tried to bring into the Yazoo classic, but at the same time Alf turned it into a sloppy "Sympathy For The Devil" clone that is just all over the place...
❤😂super version . Great. Fan
This is technically a cover of a great Yazoo song which the great AM was a member of. It is faster and more usable for DJs in clubs. Both are great.
I bloody LOVE this song. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Me too in 2022
Me too in 2023
Me too in 2024
so, so so. about time someone made a song about how beautiful an ordinary working boy can be
She is in a league of her own. Brilliant !

This song
re power!
All here numbers are good!
Tho this is a powerful version of the song I prefer the original one that represents even more the message of the track and it is more sensual.
Ode to Boy II on the album ;)
In a just world this was no 1 in 25 countries....
I've been too obsessed with the found footage of the Ring AKA Hot Guy at the beach
I wonder if Vince knew that this song was about him when Yazoo recorded it?
simply brill - and what a beautiful sexy woman
Not sure what the difference is with "American" hands but they sound pretty sexy. LOL
I seem to remember the title as "Ode to Boy II" since Yaz had an "Ode to Boy" that was not as rowdy.
💗🩷💕💞💖⭐️🌟✨️💫

This is more original than the "original " Ode is a Moyet song, and this is how she had originally intended it to be.
I was brought up on the sparse original but I far prefer this thumping version. The twangy bass notes at the end are the perfect ending.
Se podría hacer un mix con bohemian like you de los dandy warhols
In the howling reborn
Cool Cover
but then... who better to Cover it.
She wrote it LOL

Ah, observant;

I somewhat disagree. While I remember and enjoyed the original I really like the energy in this version, and her vocal! Yowza!
podgemonz I have to agree. Same feelings here.
I'm not sure it works it's way to fast almost erratic compared to the original
I'll Try a few more listens
But not original
naw prefer the original. but much respect. Really dont care for this one

She said that all of her songs were meant to sound like this (guitars, bass & a drummer) and that Vince changed them. Thank god for Vince!
Yazoo version is a thousand times better
I hate this version!
