  • I wanted to dedicate this film to my wonderful friend Daniele Casabianca, who made me sensitive to Dvorzak's wonderful music. Last year I took a trip to Prague, which gave me a huge amount of musical inspiration - I wrote this transcription for my instrument and finally managed to record it in a preliminary version. I'm still working on making dampers and unfortunately half of the instrument doesn't have them yet - hence the sound impurities. But I still consider this recording a milestone, it is undoubtedly the first attempt to play this piece on a celesta solo.
    About instrument:
Concert celesta- it's instrument of my invention, dream of many years.
I started in 2016 by biulding 'normal' celesta( it was my childhood dream to play this instrument) but I wasnt quite happy with it first, and decided to take it to another level. After spending time with this thing I started experiments and always desired for more deep and charming sound, and also for bigger scale. Gradually, step by step through all this years I made countless experiments, threw out dozen kilograms of unsuccesful bars and resonators, to finally be able to sit with something I can call now a real musical instrument. Even that its still not finished. It takes so much work with voicing; now Im also working with 24k gold and gilding legs of it- Im so happy and proud being a little step closer to my dream. Especially that almost every part of this instrument I made by my hands. Still havent bought a good microphones, so recorded it with Iphone, but wanted to share my happiness!
Since almost the beginning of making this instrument I frequently made a videos, and despite that Im not fully happy with them Im keeping all of them here on my channel. Its kind of diary which allows to see drastic progression of this instrument comparing older videos.
Hope you enjoy the one and only in the world, Concert Celesta!
