I just had a week in KL and enjoyed it. My favorite thing was all the greenery in the city. It's like they kept a part of the jungle in the city. You picked a nice town to retire in.

When I lived in KL, it became a habit for me to capture the skies view on camera whenever I'm stuck in traffic especially during the sunset or before a thunderstorm.. It's really pretty and takes away the frustration of not moving in traffic for hours xD

There's a conversation which I read about a foreigner asking a Brazilian Amazon river guide about the weather there, which is quite applicable to Malaysia...
Foreigner : What's the weather like during summer and winter here?
Brazilian : Well... in the summer, it rains every day... And in the winter, it rains all day... 😆
In all honesty, I love the climate here... Especially the stable daylight and night time through out the year... Which makes it easier to plan my day and easier on my sleep pattern compared to the huge daylight and night time difference between winter and summer in a 4-season country.

I hate SE Asian weather.. I have been a FOOL to book 3 months in advance my apartment in KL ... paid 5k eur so I did not wanted to loose it ... I have been out 4x during 3 months... (walking on the street ) -.. Other than that 4x outside I spend my 3 months in Shopping malls... even they are not cooled down as well as Dubai or other hot countries...
I swore to NEVER EVER visit SE Asian countries again... It is just inhumanly hot ! I got sick the fist time I went outside ( during night )... I got Cold - from the heat.. I had temperature and was shaking 3 night in my bed... I mean ... 26-30 °C at NIGHT?! .. horrible.. and I am SO angry, that NOBODY is talking about that... everyone is just making lovely videos about Asia, without mentioning the extreme heat and humidity.... I lost 15k eur because of that... could go to Norway or Switzerland for a 4 months... not Asia...

The climate change has impacted Malaysia tremendously since 1998 started by El Nino since then the temperatures are greatly increase with numbers of heatwaves. Then the Al Nina started a few years back which brings more rainfalls & floods all over Malaysia.
I still remembered during 1970's to 1980's the weather was static with moonsun rainy season started from October to March & its a dry season from April to September with little rains in between the months.
Fortunately Malaysia is free from weather disasters such as earthquakes , typhoons & huge tornadoes. That makes me feel bless living in Malaysia.

I've read somewhere that Malaysia is the no.1 spot for Japanese people to retire. The weather is the main reason as it's rather stable and doesn't fluctuate too much. This means they don't get sick too often and they also spend a lot less money on clothing too

Hi Taylor. Do you find air conditioning is sufficient to cool off your apartment throughout the day? It seems like some people indicate that the a/c is not sufficient to cool apartments or pull the humidity out of the air in Malaysia. I am looking to rent a large apartment in Penang and am concerned that a/c will not be sufficient to cool the entire unit. Do apartments generally have sufficient a/c systems? Any input would really be appreciated.

I enjoyed watching your videos, but one thing is. I really dislike the music everyone puts in the video, which it takes away from enjoying the video completely and not being able to understand you. I recommend you remove the music and not use it. I am from Florida, just like you, and I'd like to learn about Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. Accept the music it just takes away from the value of the video.
