I just had a week in KL and enjoyed it. My favorite thing was all the greenery in the city. It's like they kept a part of the jungle in the city. You picked a nice town to retire in.
When I lived in KL, it became a habit for me to capture the skies view on camera whenever I'm stuck in traffic especially during the sunset or before a thunderstorm.. It's really pretty and takes away the frustration of not moving in traffic for hours xD
Well......the traffic in malaysia now is kinda crazy i would say compare to back in the 80s Now one house has four cars because the economy has been kind to us malaysian....we have the money to spend Not wealthy but good enough i say

Foreigner : What's the weather like during summer and winter here? Brazilian : Well... in the summer, it rains every day... And in the winter, it rains all day... 😆 In all honesty, I love the climate here... Especially the stable daylight and night time through out the year... Which makes it easier to plan my day and easier on my sleep pattern compared to the huge daylight and night time difference between winter and summer in a 4-season country.
I hate SE Asian weather.. I have been a FOOL to book 3 months in advance my apartment in KL ... paid 5k eur so I did not wanted to loose it ... I have been out 4x during 3 months... (walking on the street ) -.. Other than that 4x outside I spend my 3 months in Shopping malls... even they are not cooled down as well as Dubai or other hot countries... I swore to NEVER EVER visit SE Asian countries again... It is just inhumanly hot ! I got sick the fist time I went outside ( during night )... I got Cold - from the heat.. I had temperature and was shaking 3 night in my bed... I mean ... 26-30 °C at NIGHT?! .. horrible.. and I am SO angry, that NOBODY is talking about that... everyone is just making lovely videos about Asia, without mentioning the extreme heat and humidity.... I lost 15k eur because of that... could go to Norway or Switzerland for a 4 months... not Asia...

The climate change has impacted Malaysia tremendously since 1998 started by El Nino since then the temperatures are greatly increase with numbers of heatwaves. Then the Al Nina started a few years back which brings more rainfalls & floods all over Malaysia. I still remembered during 1970's to 1980's the weather was static with moonsun rainy season started from October to March & its a dry season from April to September with little rains in between the months. Fortunately Malaysia is free from weather disasters such as earthquakes , typhoons & huge tornadoes. That makes me feel bless living in Malaysia.
I've read somewhere that Malaysia is the no.1 spot for Japanese people to retire. The weather is the main reason as it's rather stable and doesn't fluctuate too much. This means they don't get sick too often and they also spend a lot less money on clothing too
Some people get sick because of season change eg tonsillitis. So westerners remove it when they are young. It is also expensive to buy winter clothings.

There are many foreigners living in Penang now and mostly are from Korea, Japan , US , Australia and England . There are many choices of accommodation in Penang and the foods are good. You can go hiking or swimming during the weekends with great natural views surrounding you.
Good sir, Malaysia has a lot of seasons, not just dry and rain. We have: 1. Durian season 2. Rambutan season 3. Mango season 4. Duku Langsat season 5. Mata kucing season 6. Star fruit season

I’m in Kota Bharu and boy is it wet this season. Most evenings lately but short heavy downpours. In fact one deluge was so heavy that it managed to find its way under the roof tiles on my kitchen addition. Some work to be carried out there methinks!

I’m assuming I had no damage from the hurricane at my condo, I guess, since I haven’t heard from my tenant. 🤞. No, they don’t have hurricanes here, thank goodness. 😊

What a perfect timing on this video? At this moment of writing, state of Florida is brazing for hurricane Ian; category 4 to hit Tampa within next few hours. By comparison, Malaysia has lesser natural disaster other than flooding.
Theres one time in 2018 or 2019 when cold wind blows hard from northern thailand and it reach the northern state of Malaysia to central states. At that time the temperature reach 18 to 19 ° celcius for a week and elementary kids going to school wearing thick sweaters and jumpers. Its really rare and cute to see.
@@andrewtaylor4558 in the west coast yes, in the east coast of peninsular during monsoon season, if it rains, you have to basically pray for it to stop 😂… sometimes it goes for days the rain only slows down and get heavier switching mode but unlikely to stop.. I’m from KL this was a shock when I first go to east coast during monsoon
@@joeshmooo5327 😅 bugs are not really a concern here except mosquitos during raining season but there's always campaign to clean neighborhood areas that's been affected like eliminating all stall water where the mosquitoes breeds, and also fogging the areas. Some people just use mosquito cover when they sleep.
If you lived in the quarters area of Oil Palm plantations, whether in Bungalows or houses, you are bound to have the rhinoceros beetles as visitors in the night besides mosquitos.

I'm from Trinidad The temperature when it's sunny ranges from 32-34 degrees celcius on very hot days it reaches 35 degrees celcius. So I thought I could handle the heat in Malaysia however in Cyberjaya between the months of March and May the temperature almost never dtopped below 34 degrees celcius and I found it very difficult to cope with the heat.
I'm sure you've heard Rod Stewart's song. The lyrics are like this.... Have you ever seen the rain.. coming down on a sunny day.. Surely you can see all that in Kuala Lumpur.
now that forest fire and open burning are less, there are less day where haze occur. for season maybe substitute with fruit season🤣🤣🤣. and yes nowadays dry season are less noticible.
We love the thunder lightning ⚡️ storms 🌩 in Malaysia 🇲🇾 . Whilst on island 🏝 of Langkawi this past July , had some really amazing lightning ⛈ storms in the evening . We love how the storms tend to come in the late afternoon, one can almost set the time at the coming of the daily storm ☔️ . We look forward to living there soon 👍

It seems like some people indicate that the a/c is not sufficient to cool apartments or pull the humidity out of the air in Malaysia. I enjoy Malaysia, January- February- March, then it's back to Canada, where the rest of the year, the cooler climate, is quite agreeable to me.
October until April is the rainy season and it floods especially in the East Coast. September in the West Coast and Southern side, Johor.

Nothing much going on in malaysia except during monsoon season where flooding occurs. Other days..it is hot and humid. Mac till june is hot.
It's warm there, you get soaked by rain...no big deal. At least you won't freeze...just dry off later.😁

Floods are the main problem but only in a few areas. I’ve never seen a flood here.

I’d say is cloudy about 40% of the time. The nice part is that it’s cooler then.

How's weather compared to Bangkok? BKK has poor drainage systems, are pedestrian sidewalks in Malaysia (esp KL) flooded and unwalkable like in BKK?

Hi Taylor. Do you find air conditioning is sufficient to cool off your apartment throughout the day? It seems like some people indicate that the a/c is not sufficient to cool apartments or pull the humidity out of the air in Malaysia. I am looking to rent a large apartment in Penang and am concerned that a/c will not be sufficient to cool the entire unit. Do apartments generally have sufficient a/c systems? Yes, generally just fine. It actually isn’t any hotter here than say, Florida. 😊
