You're welcome, Eric - and thanks for the compliment! I've previously been likened to Richard Branson. During COVID lockdowns, I resorted to a home buzz-cut - and now I look like neither!!
My website has detailed instructions for anything from 3 to 8 rows of eyelets: www.fieggen.com/shoelace/sawtoothlacing.htm If you don't want to go to my website, just stop lacing when you get to the 5th row.
How unusual! The obvious solution is to *not* use this lacing on your left shoe. Or you could instead lace it in reverse (mirrored) on that shoe to see if it improves the fit.
@@ProfShoelace Oh boy, I'm not even sure anymore. I think they got looser, but maybe I was just not used to wearing the shoes. I'll consider relacing the other direction.
الله يكرمك ي شيخ 👍😂والله قاعدة من الصبح ادور ع طريقة عشان اربط بيها الكوتشي بتاعي وكل فيديوهات سريعة ومش بيعملوا بالتفاصيل 👍بجد Thank you very much 💜💜💜💜💜💜🇪🇬
Dear professor shoelace, I have just acquired a pair of martial arts shoes from China and decided to be creative in the shoelace technique. After following your video for the sawtooth shoelace, it made me extremely happy to see that not only this shoelace technique made my shoes looked neater but it also gave it a more "snug" fit. Thank you so much for your clear instructions and strait to the point video... Can't wait to learn your Ian knot !
I'm really pleased to hear that you had such a positive outcome from this lacing. Good luck with learning the "Ian Knot" - I'm sure that you'll find it equally worthwhile.
It's certainly easier to tighten because each row is pulled in the same direction, whereas with Straight European Lacing, alternate rows are pulled in the opposite direction.
I'm Thai, thanks for teaching about shoes.
You are welcome!
ยินดี!
love the videos b, keep it up yuh.
Thanks - more videos are on the way.
Thank you😊
You're welcome, enjoy the lacing.
Thanks professor! I hate to say it, but you have a striking resemblance to Benedict Cumberbatch. I hope it’s taken as a compliment!

D&G laces
Dolce & Gabbana? Alas, no. These are el-cheapo shoelaces that don't distract and therefore allow the lacing *method* to be the star of the show.
7 lace
In this video, the lacing looks like mirror-image "7"s.
My g!!
Huh?
The winner of the Richard Branson look alike contest. lol Great video thanks!
There is a resemblance - especially when my hair is shaggy - though less so as both Richard and I are aging differently. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thank you!!! Actually super helpful and easy to follow! Thanks 🙏🏻
You're welcome, I'm pleased that you found it easy. Enjoy the lacing.

You're welcome - enjoy the fresh look.
I don’t even have enough holes. There are 5 on each side

I have vans authentic but I think it will look better on my checkered old schools
This makes me heel slip now on my left foot (which is smaller) :(

You're welcome - I hope it helps.
Very helpful! My shoes are a bit tight at the big toe, so this seems like a good option.
I hope that it works for you.

That's not as good as one diagonal bottom to top then individually line.
Sounds like you're describing “Shoe Shop Lacing”: ruclips.net/video/975OzsIT2NI/видео.html
The two lacings *look* similar but *feel* quite different.

This should be called Adidas Lace
I'm trying to work out how Sawtooth Lacing relates to Adidas' ubiquitous triple-stripes.
my shoes have 5 of the little hole things so it looks weird at the top
It should work the same for anything more than three pairs of eyelets. My website shows exact instructions for five pairs of eyelets.
Thank you so much 👍❤️
