this is by far the most educational shoe lacing video channel I have seen in YT. More power to you good Sir and hope the best video creator for your channel be found the soonest.
FYI - In a shoe that "properly" fits your foot, you don't need to tighten the laces very much to keep your foot in place. This is mainly important for informal or formal "dress shoes" since their shapes vary so much and they're relatively expensive.

Your kind words have really made my day! More videos coming soon!
I learned about lock lacing wayyyy too far in my life. Its so nice to keep the heel in.
I really need to do a dedicated “Lock Lacing” video.

You're so right. When shoes fit well, the simplest, comfortable lacing is the best.
@ 2:10 what kind of Chuck Taylors are those? Look comfy AF. Perfect for winter time too.
Those were Chuck Taylor High Storm Wind. Indeed, they kept my feet pretty snug in cold weather.
ProfessorShoelace: And then you tie it as normal.
Me: Because of this channel I no longer know what normal is.
(smile) The “new normal” - tying the “Ian Knot”, of course!
It's outstanding
By the way sir where are you from????
I was born in New Zealand but have lived in Melbourne, Australia for almost my whole life.
Keep up the good work, this has helped me out
I'm happy to have helped.
@@ProfShoelace thank you, it's nice to see that even on a small channel you work extremety hard and reply to most people you can
Thanks, it seems only polite to acknowledge those who take the time to comment.
Which is best for loose heel?
Most people use “Lock Lacing”:

You can make a video of how to loosen the laces ?
Interesting, I hadn't considered that - but of course loosening has the almost identical complications to tightening.
You should narrate audiobooks
I'd love to, particularly if it was paying work! (I'm currently living on a shoestring.)
Love ur voice
Thanks, I'm pleased you liked it and that you didn't find my Aussie accent too strong.
Thanks Professor
You're welcome, Robert
Thank you helped soo much!! Just subscribed!!
You're welcome, I'm pleased you found it worthwhile.
I asked so many people to teach me how to tie but your the only one who really taught me💖💖
Great that I was able to “be there” to help.

Thanks, I'm just recovering from a recent accident, then I'll be creating some more videos soon.
ProfessorShoelace I hope u feel better !!!!
Wow...😍😍😍
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have my boots heel locked completely over my arch so I can keep them taut even when the upper laces are loose.
