It's pretty interesting how this fandom goes through phases of hating AHers. Gavin, then Ryan, then Gavin again, then Jack, and now Michael. Kerry is always fair game. But we can all agree that Ray and Geoff are universally loved. Right?

As a long-time viewer of Lets Plays, I've noticed an incredibly unfair Catch 22: People often complain that there are too many people talking at once so they can't hear anything. Jack's the only one that shuts up and lets everyone else talk and a fair amount of viewers give him shit for it. Just another example that they can't please everybody and we've really got to stop expecting them to meet our every need.
It's pretty rare when Ray talks, but when he does, you can actually hear him, Michael just talks whenever he feels like it, Gavin generally just explains and complains, Ryan is often talking to the others when he talks, you're pretty much right about Jack, and Geoff is either making fun of people or explaining stuff. None of them really talk over each other purposely. You can't have a large group of people with everyone being able to be heard, especially when there's 2 or 3 conversations at the same time. If people are really interested in what individual people are saying, they can rewatch parts of the video.
Honestly I don't understand how it would be hard to understand them even when multiple of them are talking except for maybe Jack and Ryan. Everyone else has a distinct voice but I could see those two being mistaken for each other

This is kind of dumb but it helps me a lot, if one of them is in a conversation about the gameplay with a lad or geoff, it helps to look at whose footage is being used. At least it helped me until I was able to tell them apart.
Jack is 100% right. Michael talks about 40%, Gavin 30%, Ryan 15%, Ray 10%, Jack 5%. The only thing Ray says are short little things while ryan is usually just talking to himself. Michael and Gavin are the only ones who are constantly talking back and forth to one another and really won't let anyone else get a word in. Geoff really provides the balance between this group.

In a gang, you need a kingpin to run the operation and make sure everyone is doing as their told.(Geoff) There also needs to be a right hand man who can get things done quickly and quietly without the police knowing. (Jack) Of course, you need muscles too (Michael) and he can't do it alone, so you bring in backup. (Gav) It also helps if you have a silver tongue with you. (Ray) But who will plan the jobs? Who will create schemes that will boggle your mind and make you tremble in fear? (Ryan)
This AH crew was just the best. No one can compare to the original despite what has happened now. Today the newer members have some shoes to fill in, they aren’t bad but the original crew had so much likability in their personalities and it worked really well.
I suppose this would be a bad time to point out that if you brew any potion with a gunpowder it turns that potion into a splash potion. Allowing you to actually throw it at others.

Just went quite far back in the comments and I got to say that I regret doing that a lot. Each member is here for a reason so if everyone could screw off and not hate these amazing and funny people, that would be excellent. DIRECTION. He keeps it entertaining without losing the focus of the let's play. He's actually focused on the task at hand. I personally think Jack is the most able gamer in Achievement Hunter other than Ray. Jack is consistent in his gameplay and his commentary is intelligent unlike the mindless drivel spewing from Michael's mouth. Michael is so bad that you can even hear the other guys in Achievement Hunter get sick of his talking as the let's play wears on. IMO Jack is the most valuable member to the achievement hunter team. Not specifically for his minecraft commentary, which is admittedly weak at times, but for EVERYTHING else. AHWU, Monday and Wednesday Let's Plays, Game Fails, Trials Files, Achievement HUNT, and the podcasts for Roosterteeth.
Jesse Bourassa Jack is "that guy" in the Let's Plays. He is the victim of jokes, similar to Gavin but he did that before him, so more like Gavin is like Jack. Aside from that, he has been here from the beginning so older fans have grown attached. He has a good voice for commentating and he makes jokes that are more niche for the older guys. Not everyone who watches is a teenager or in their mid-twenties, you know.
Great lets play, also after reading the comments I feel that jack is being quiet because he is not the type of person that is going to try and talk over someone else, especially louder people like Michael and Gavin, so instead he just stays quiet. Ray does it too, however ray is better at making quick jokes and one liners so people notice it less.
I think they should do this again with Caleb as the patient and instead of healing potions they act as angles of death and make potions of poison and harming.
I actually love Jack in this LP. He let Gavin and Michael dominate the video with their antics and then quietly snuck in with the win at the end. Well played, Jack, well played.
I love how Gavin and Michael waste all that time trying to get 2 ghast tears, when they only needed one. And when Gavin makes 2 potions with one tear, he doesn't even notice that he didn't need the second.
I feel bad about the whole Ryan lag situation or whatever it is that is messing him up, because on this one & the 12 Towers, it fucked him over a great deal. Also for Ray, he lost his stuff twice & asked people " I need that, please don't take it " & because everyone else was so loud, they just didn't notice it & picked it all up & he had to start again. :( It was a good Let's Play other then all that.

Oh man... I remember this now. Building too large a structure can even hurt the PC version, if your computer isn't strong enough. With their history of Xbox lag, and now with a massive structure at building height... Achievement City might be gone guys. Permanantly gone... lost to the evil armies of the Lag Empire. The only way to counter it might just be to undo the Geoff's house Let's Play, hard as that may be.
They discussed this on one of the podcasts. The lag is believed to be caused by Ryan being on their wireless network instead of wired. Its why he "broke" the portal in the 12 towers let's play with lag. I personally have a few structures in my personal minecraft world that reach the limit and the game plays just like normal for me.

10 years later… i was 11 when they first started these, i’d religiously watch every episode and then try and do the same thing on my own worlds. at 11 yrs old doing this made me the happiest i could be. all i wanted was to be apart of achievement hunter. i had forgotten so much about these videos and recently found myself needing the nostalgia and found them again, reminding myself of what it’s like to be a kid again. now i’m 21, still a big kid at heart, with the worst (best) humour ever, and i blame these men. for making me love myself :)

It's not the internet that's making them lag, its how the Xbox 360 handles everything on screen. With everything on screen it causes game lag except for the host because the host has everything rendered already, while the other players have to individually render everything again.

Jesse Bourassa Jack is "that guy" in the Let's Plays. He is the victim of jokes, similar to Gavin but he did that before him, so more like Gavin is like Jack. Aside from that, he has been here from the beginning so older fans have grown attached. He has a good voice for commentating and he makes jokes that are more niche for the older guys. Not everyone who watches is a teenager or in their mid-twenties, you know.
Great lets play, also after reading the comments I feel that jack is being quiet because he is not the type of person that is going to try and talk over someone else, especially louder people like Michael and Gavin, so instead he just stays quiet. Ray does it too, however ray is better at making quick jokes and one liners so people notice it less.
I think they should do this again with Caleb as the patient and instead of healing potions they act as angles of death and make potions of poison and harming.

I feel bad about the whole Ryan lag situation or whatever it is that is messing him up, because on this one & the 12 Towers, it fucked him over a great deal. Also for Ray, he lost his stuff twice & asked people " I need that, please don't take it " & because everyone else was so loud, they just didn't notice it & picked it all up & he had to start again. :( It was a good Let's Play other then all that.

I think the xbox knows... it knows ryan's a pc guy and actively fucks him over. And lets be honest everyone else was really michael and gavin, jack was too busy winning the game and ryan shut up like 10 minutes in.
***** They should honestly just take the hour it would take to make AC on the PC and move over, get a small MC server for 5 bucks a month and never have these problems again. Sure Micheal would be clueless on crafting, but there's bound to be a mod out there to import the Xbox cheatbox in.

Well a few let's plays back, someone said, "Leave it for the one!" I think that once the Xbox One version of Minecraft comes out, they gonna use that passage way as like a cool entrance way and cut to the Xbox One version of Mincraft to start off their first let's play of Xbox One Minecraft.

Oh man... I remember this now. Building too large a structure can even hurt the PC version, if your computer isn't strong enough. With their history of Xbox lag, and now with a massive structure at building height... Achievement City might be gone guys. Permanantly gone... lost to the evil armies of the Lag Empire.
The only way to counter it might just be to undo the Geoff's house Let's Play, hard as that may be.
They discussed this on one of the podcasts. The lag is believed to be caused by Ryan being on their wireless network instead of wired. Its why he "broke" the portal in the 12 towers let's play with lag.
I personally have a few structures in my personal minecraft world that reach the limit and the game plays just like normal for me.

10 years later… i was 11 when they first started these, i’d religiously watch every episode and then try and do the same thing on my own worlds. at 11 yrs old doing this made me the happiest i could be. all i wanted was to be apart of achievement hunter. i had forgotten so much about these videos and recently found myself needing the nostalgia and found them again, reminding myself of what it’s like to be a kid again. now i’m 21, still a big kid at heart, with the worst (best) humour ever, and i blame these men. for making me love myself :)

It's not the internet that's making them lag, its how the Xbox 360 handles everything on screen. With everything on screen it causes game lag except for the host because the host has everything rendered already, while the other players have to individually render everything again.
