I'm 13, doing this piece and planning on using it for S&E next year, suggestions?
I think you should! It’s a beautiful, calming piece. I did this a while back when I was in High School. One of my favorite pieces ever.
How does a marimbist not love that piece though? It goes from calming, to mysterious, to adventurous and with plentiful technique spread fairly even to keep you from not getting bored of playing it.
what is the intro song?
juan pablo raigoza rios J S Bach look it up for marimba it should be the Vic firth video
tanks.
I know it's a really old question, but the intro is actually taken from cello suite no. 5 prelude by Bach

Dem squeaky feet.
seriously need a carpet for the performer to stand on or just go barefoot like the Kelsey Tamayo did in one of the other vic firth videos that was a good call.
