    A fitting, understated return home for a channel whose hallmark has always been simplicity. Four years at sea! Congratulations on an epic journey that I’ve enjoyed every step of the way.

      It is very rare but your comment is about the first time I have seen the use of the word "Epic" properly. To Free Range: It truly was an epic journey and I enjoyed the entire ride and see you two grow in many ways.

      @slowerpicker 3 года назад +5

      @@jginmt haha. Epic - “…narrating the deeds and adventures of heroic or legendary figures” (OED). Summon the minstrels to tune their harps and the bards to sharpen their quills, to set down these exploits for the ages: the tale of this fateful trip, that started from this tropic port aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailing man, the skipper brave and sure…. Oh, wait. That’s the theme song to Gilligan’s Island…

    4 years 'eh and I can remember my first comment...so glad FRS never turned into a T&A competition with the countless others out their willing to sell their dignity for a slice of internet fame. Pascal & Troy you are the Pinnacle of Australian Sailing Channels bar none and definitely in the top 5 in the world IMHO which usually doesn't count for much but I doubt I'm alone in this one.

    I would love to see you guys venture a bit further afield. However, if that is not feasible, I will watch whatever you decide to share with us. There are many things I like about FRS but above all I enjoy spending time with the two of you. Pas’ smile and heart leap from the screen, and Troys ability to impart knowledge in an easy to understand way inspires trust. Get some rest, but try not to be gone for too long. Congratulations on the circumnavigation of Oz!

    4 years. I was a youngster of 71 when you began. To see the places you visited and know I too walked those steps especially in the Kimberly and NT was so good. Thank you. Just arrived “in Freo” with you today. Our virtual circumnavigation took closer to four months, vice your actual travels of four years. It was neat to see Cape Leeuwin Light. I visited HMAS Stirling about sixteen years ago, and had the good fortune to spend about a month in the area including a week down at Margarette River. I took a day to visit the Cape and I was impressed that spring day by the energy of the Southern & Indian oceans mixing. I can’t imagine what it’s like when it’s really cross. The US Submarine Force brought me to the 70’s North latitude and every longitude, but the Cape marks the highest Southern latitude I’ve been. My wife & I really appreciate your efforts. You are incredibly genuine and transparent, and quite gifted storytellers. Frankly every other sailing channel we’ve seen disappoints when compared to yours. We appreciate your competence as mariners and goodness as humans. We have been entertained, inspired, and educated by your efforts. We look forward to future tales.

    Yrs ago I bought a tiny 20" glassfiber UK sailor, but due to a set of circumstance I had to leave it on the hard for too long. However, FRS and especially the knowledge and how-to Troy has shared with us has been a key factor for me to start refitting the old lady and get her wet again. So since either she or I have reached the bottom of the seas yet, I send a big thx from the bottom of my heart for the inspiration .....

    I've watched every one of your videos so have "virtually" circumnavigated Oz with you. If you did another lap I'd still watch every episode. There's so much of this place I am sure you would like to visit that you haven't seen yet and you can take me with you again. So fill up the coffers, provision up Mirrool and do it again.

I for one will be setting off and following your route around Australia shortly, and in this chaotic covid time perhaps that is best during to boarder restrictions and uncertain times which may go on for a long time to come. I have been watching you guys from the beginning and will continue to do so, the content is pure boat / sailing experiences, and there is also some great handy hints on ways to do things better, all the best and enjoy the rest in Fremantle, cheers

    Wow, this was a solid ending to the journey, hope you guys still film some stuff, and maybe after a few months of savings think about exploring somewhere outside the country. That being said this episode gave me the same feelings that I get when I a close an amazing book, that bittersweet feeling that its over but the hope that the authors wrote another in the series lol.

    Looking forward to the livestream!

    Congrats on completing the circumnavigation of Oz. I had thought of doing this when I retired, but unfortunately things contrived and it never happened. I have really enjoyed your videos and know the amount of work that goes into making them. I've been there with you all the way. Enjoy your rest and I look forward to seeing more. Thank you.
