Love how you polished the sabre bevel on the griptillian and left the upper portion original with the lines showing....

the old one is hollow ground not necessarily saber ground, i would also consider these drop points there is a slight curve down on the spine its not exactly a straight edge.
Yeah I ordered two of them myself and both came with horribly ground edges so as farthem being a collectors piece they're pretty poor quality to be collector knives... Ahhh well, reason I grabbed two was so I could use one and keep one for the collection but I may end up just using them both I guess.... All the other 4V St Nick's I have are great this was the first model that had poor qualify control....

I love spyderco and 4V steel but I wish they wouldn't coat the blades, I appreciate the steel as is especially when it's nicely finished. I think DLC coated coating although helpful really diminishes the aesthetic appeal.
Beauty is in the eye as it is said I like the dlc or in this case TiCN coating, ceracote not so much as it wears fast.

How did the crack's happen?
I got it this way from the Texas State Surplus Store for next to nothing. It must have been damaged by the previous owner. My guess is it was dropped on a hard surface.
