Visiting Spyderco in Golden
What happens when a pocketknife collecting maniac visits the Mecca of Golden, Colorado? Lots of knives get purchased, lots of knives get sharpened, and a few get replaced.

Просмотров 543День назад
In a release exclusive to BladeHQ, Spyderco has provided another iteration of the Bob Lum Tanto liner-lock pocketknife, this time with a satin-finished blade and bright hardware. The M390 blade steel is a great choice for this knife and the grippy OD green G-10 provides an excellent contrast. #Spyderco #knifecommunity #pocketknife #edlifestyle #exclusive #BobLum #Knife

Microtech Warranty Service: How does my damaged Ultratech look after a spa treatment at the factory?
Просмотров 525Месяц назад
My Microtech Ultratech had a tiny bit of the tip broken off, so I sent it in for warranty service. For a nominal fee, Microtech reprofiled the tip, gave the knife a wicked sharp edge, cleaned it up and sent it back in a retail box. #Microtechknives #OTF #EDC #Warranty #Knife #knifecommunity

Is there a us made version? I know there used to be because they made everything in the us
Easy to tell it's not a Spyderco, not really a clone neither.
Just picked one up, very pleased with it.
The QSP version of the swordfish is way better I have them both .
I've got one, paid £17... that's about $20... can't believe the quality, its one of my favourite knives in my collection even if it's one of the cheapest... : -)
You pay 1125 US $ Four Jerry Hossom knife dog tag knife Four this monny there shute have be a knife sheet whit the knife
I loved the action in that knife but returned it because the edge bent pretty bad from some thick cardboard I was cutting. It must have been an issue with the heat treat as the steel was the softest I’ve seen before. I have other Civivi knives that I’ve never had an issue with.
I'll patronize Spyderco when they leave Colorado.......
Brother……which knife are you reviewing ??
Such a dope piece
I carry this knife every day. I wish I could find another one
I carry the mini covert auto every day. I’ve had it for I think about 8 years and it works great . I wish I could find another one. Just FYI I also own the full size version exactly as pictured in this video that I would part with. (The gray handle, non-serrated) Never been used, it’s too big for EDC for my tastes.
No one better then Spiderco
Ahhh! You bought these knives already broken! I was wondering how one man could be such a menace 😅
Those all your knifes with tips broke?
Knives I bought cheap because they were broken.
👍
Wtf do u do to your knives sir put in a food disposal unit sheesh! Wow 😂😂
I’m impressed with Spyderco’s customer service. 😎👍👍
Just got mine today. The liner lock needs some action to break in, just like a CRK.
What I enjoy more then watching the unboxing is the Great information I've learned a few things from you. Thank you
Glad to hear it!
Such nice!!! 😃
I just ordered the black micarta OG. Ive been looking to pick up my first Terzuola design and this fit my user wheelhouse of 3.4" to 3.75" great collection !!!
I just got the new one and I love it. I did find that the edges of the liners to be a bit sharp though. I had the de ja vous but my ex-wife got it when we split.
The edges are definitely sharp, it’s the least comfortable knife I own. Everything about this knife is rough fro, the liners, to the scales and the grind on the spine.
Looks like Blade HQ has them on sale for $249.95
✌️
I see a $ 100 knife in the top left
You should have left it burnt.. It's cooler that way.. I did this to a big bowie knife. It just started to show rust spots, so I put some mustard on it randomly and burned the mustard a bit, over the gas stove in the kitchen. Not nearly enough to effect the temper. but the gas stove has a lot of soot, which burns to the knife quite well and makes a "coating"-- mixed with the mustard... It ends up looking like a 'color case hardening" look to it. From the colors that the burnt mustard leaves behind.. I like it better than rust, that's for sure.
My all timw favorite EDC
I just got mine in the mail today couldn't wait and what a let down the plunge lines are not even. This wasn't going to be a user so it's a big deal to me. I don't like returning knifes. How was your grinds lining up?
I am 2 seconds into the video and I can already tell that the fake one is that orange paramilitary 2
Mine came and it had to go back the blade is completely loose flopping back and forth in and the pin is the the bolster is stinking out. I’m so frustrated. I just received it on Saturday and I now have to call them first thing tomorrow morning the fit and finish is horrible, the blade itself looks amazing but the blade is ridiculously lost and the pin sticking out of the bolster a joke and I love Buck. This is the worst iv ever received from them !!! I’m glad you got a good one. 🙏👍
GOT TO LOVE K390
I received mine yesterday. I like it.
Last I heard the cut out is clouds!! If you slightly open the knife the Mount Fuji raises up into the cloud pattern! I could be wrong but it does look like a mountain the clouds!! ;)
I love that Lil' Temperance in k390 you opened with. Its damn near perfect for my uses
It’s a nice buck. According to Larrin, heat treated to 63 HRC. Tempted to pull trigger, but just ordered a couple other blades in K390 steel.
How much???
What do you think of the knife? Worth the $150?
It’s very nice. For everyday use, I would prefer that it was slightly bigger.
@@pocketknifecollector I had this knife in-cart, and watched a couple more reviews after yours. Including Thrifty Knifitys. Every one had bad fit and finish. Some of them were damn near unacceptable. I went from excited to disappointed super quick. Bummer. I couldn’t buy it and deleted my cart. I didn’t see one video where the knife didn’t have a defect. I really wanted to support Dr. Thomas too.
Just got mine! Superb knife. I agree it could be little bigger. Very smooth action for lock back! p.s. I got this because of your video! Thank you Sir!
Pretty nice. Prefer the modern easy open like your Spyderco, but that's a good looking Buck.
Dude thats freaking gold i want a bin like that
If I were to recommend a tip with carbon steel knives, every time you cut something, it needs to be wiped down. If you’re chopping acidic foods like onions or tomatoes for an extended period of time, it needs to be wiped with a damp cloth. Leaving the knife wet for even a minute can start to rust. Patina should be blue/green, not orange. It’s annoying at first, but once getting used to it, it’s a joy to use.
If I buy that knife it's going to make me miss Justified more than this video does
Whoever put the edge on that knife hogged off way too much material and looks ridiculous
Pakistan lol
I had that knife it was a fun little blade
It looks pretty sharp and you could make use of that definitely
Did you just buy this off ebay?? I swear I had my sights on one just like it, it was not an auto either and someone beat me to it lol! I bought a satin blade version from the factory instead.
我除了bradley2以外 , 其他全部都沒有....閣下的收藏非常另類又有趣
These things rust so easy 😂
