From everything I've read the Asian Indian people were mostly supplicants to Muslim rule off and on for 1000 years. I don't know if the history I'm reading is accurate. The Muslim population for the most part seems to have the most freedom in many of the countries they rule. Maybe not all of them but they don't seem to be reliant on anyone but themselves and Western Governments more and more are making that impossible for people in their countries. In America in many states the rural population is looked down upon for not earning a lot of money and therefore paying less tax revenue. These communities had a rich culture of Artisans of many trades but they have mostly been destroyed by either political decisions or drugs being funneled to them.

I even make knives and have seen the difference.

Beautiful knives! No tempering or quenching, so they are only for decorative purposes. I love the mechanical twister to produce the pattern.
