Another thing to add about the knock sensors. On alldata, it states those are specific in their positions. You only get like +/- 3° of play. Mostly something about them needing to be positioned correctly to accurately detect knock and for clearance purposes. If u label their locations and mark their orientation before removal you should be completely fine.
Great work getting this done, very big job for a non-mechanic to do alone! Thank you for including part numbers of all needed parts. I hope to not need to do this job any time soon, but when I do I'll know where to go for help.
What a great video dude! Really appreciate you going super in depth for everything. My car isn't leaking right now (knock on wood) but I have purchased all the parts like 6 months ago to do the job to get it out of the way so it doesn't strand me or need the job done at a bad time, especially since it's an 08 too and I don't know if it's been done. Might actually do it soon because of this video haha I recently did the starter for my 1UR and boy was it an annoying job. Let me know if you need any part number as I have most PNs for common jobs of this platform on a spreadsheet😂
Also if you need a wireless carplay or android auto integration unit, let me know as I ended up finding a much better and cheaper option than grom and most of the people on the LS group ended up switching with me
Neglected coolant services cause the coolant to become more acidic over time so if you don’t change it routinely it’ll wear down at the gasket material and cause sealant around the heat exchanger and water pump to fail. So definitely don’t forget to flush ur coolant or else this will speed up the process of decaying gasket materials.
@@jeffanderson7207 it was over the course of 4-5 days cause I had to wait on parts but I’d say maybe 8-10 hours. It took longer cause I was filming the entire thing

@@lcameeno1 I would maybe do one in the future
Ma boy
How long did this take from start to finish ?
Just finished watching this, phenomenal video, I think you’ve convinced me to not start this job

@@jeffanderson7207its not crazy difficult. It’s time consuming. You need a garage and a couple days so you dont stress yourself out.
Boss
44:34 easily the most difficult and stressful part of this job IMO. - potater_wasted_phill
