5 min version is just anchovy stock, water, kimchi, enoki musrooms, tofu, cut up fish cake, and eggs partially cooked at the end. Sometimes i throw in leftover shabu shabu pork belly. So good and fast!
It's a cold day where I live so I made this for a late lunch/early dinner. It was delicious. I can't eat sesame oil and soy sauce so instead I used olive oil and salt and honey for the sugar. Came out great. I love Korean food and absolutely love how easy your recipes are. Thank you!!
@@0randompersonIt would be my pleasure😊 First - Saute veggies in oil - Zucchini, bell peppers (all 3 colours), onions, green onions, carrots, basil, spinach - you can add other veggies if you like - All of these are cut into thin strips. Add a pinch of salt to them while they cook. Second - Add grated garlic, gochugaru, gochujag and honey. Since I dont use soy sauce (thyroid issues) I did not add it in this step. You can add soy here. Wait till the raw smell goes away or and let them coat all the veggies. I did this for 5-6 mins. Third - Add water. Consistency is your wish. Fourth - Add silken tofu and cover and boil till 8 mins. Fifth - Add seaweed paper cut into strips and boil for another 2 mins. Sixth - Garnish with green onions and serve.
Thank you for this recipe 😊❤ I didn't know it was a Korean dish! One day, when I was making Tteok-bokki (Topokki in my transcript)I thought it would be nice to serve silken tofu in such a sauce. I'm not from Asia and I didn't know if this was my remake. and it turns out that people all over the world like similar things and such a dish exists in Korean cuisine 😊❤
I made this last night and it was AWESOME. Thank you so much! I was also just really happy to know i have all of the ingredients on hand-his use the 5lb bag of gochugaru I have somehow! 😅😆
I was missing a few things, primarily the silken tofu... but this short inspired me to make Jjigae for the first time and it was DELICIOUS, ended up adding mushrooms, substituted gochugaru for gochujang and some sriracha, and added fish sauce and nori in place of Konbu. Also added some ginger and lime juice, some dehydrated noodles and an extra egg. Ended up with a very rich and nutritious soup with a good amount of spice and tons of layered flavors!
Super entertaining vlog! You covered so much! I love the Instant Pot -- interesting to see there's a Star Wars one...are there Star Wars IP accessories too? 🤔
I've never seen clam broth tablets, wow 😅 But if anything, it's either a good way to use up leftover clam juice if you do chowders. Or as a sub, Dasida and fish sauce are absolutely goated 😭
I made your sundubu yesterday and I'm in love. I made it today too😅 I'm addicted❤. It's so good and so easy. I only eat sundobu once when I go to Thailand. I'm so glad that I can have sundobu at home. Thanks to you
I love soon dubu so im gonna try this! I wonder if i can find those clam tablets at the Korean market? Then all i need is a dolsot bc i love thay crispy rice
hii whats the difference between gochugaru and gochujang? i have a large tub at home but can’t seem to find recipes that only uses gochujang.. thank you so much for your videos, i love them!!!!
I wanted so much to like onions…but when then are alone I can’t like them…only as a seasoning, after this I take it to the corner of my plate. Anyone has tips about this, some way I can like onions?
God, this looks so good but there's no way in hell I can get some of those ingredients were I am lol. We don't even have an asian grocery store near me...which is so annoying!
Kimchee jjigae has kimchi, pork belly (or pork shoulder), radish and gochujang. Sondubu does not have those, but it does have potatoes (jjigae does not)
The *only* Soondubu recipe I’ve ever had!! 😂
Can’t wait to try this! Thank you!!

what’s the tablets of clam powder called in korean supermarkets??? I’ve never seen them before 😳😳
I've seen then in the soup base section next to hondashi, specifically "anchovy broth cubes".
They’re called broth tablets from the brand GGANBU :) I think they sell them on Walmart and Amazon
Where’s the recipe?! 😭 It looks so yummy and I want to try, but don’t know what amounts I need to buy?
❤❤❤❤
Yummmm

Would dashi powder work instead of the clam+kombu combo?
