- Putting an edge on your lamellar not only protects you and your clothes from wear and tear, it helps give it that extra polished and stand out from the rest. I do mine a little differently, so have a look.

Music was a touch louder than I wanted it, but things happen. Enjoy!
Excellent new camera angle. Thanks for showing us this.
Love the showcasing with shots! More full outfit! ^^ Just with the tunic underneath does a lot! :D
Thanks I suck at that stuff and am trying really hard to showcase it better.
Thank you so much for this VID! I've ordered materials and can't wait to start edging my first piece!
Covid and then a herniated disc have kept me off the field for some time now. This has definitely motivated me to work on my kit while I'm down. Great video *Sir* Magnus
Exxxxcellent. :)
That looks really good! I like the editing too
Greeting from switzerland!
Love your projects keep healthy and well 💪
Love this! I am going to pass this on to my buddy who has a medical need for better chest protection during combat :)
Gorgeous work man.
Ohhh, yes! That's awesome and so helpful!
Perfect timing for this video. Juat found your patterns online :-)
Wow he’s finally making some ACTUAL armour! Finally!
Jk, love your vuds
I edged the rim and the rims of every row. Made a nice contrast.
It looks like you're lacing with type 2 paracord, if so you could get a fid which just screws onto the paracord directly and that would help tremendously with lacing. 7:32
You have so much talent you deserve more subscribers
Why thank you. Slow and steady! ;)
Amazing big thumbs up
Nice and pretty
Definitely prefer your armor videos. But I might be biased. I might need to edge my lamellar
nice work
Finding armour in a thrift shop?, I wish!
Do you do anything to the tip of the leather lacing? I normally glue a short piece of wire, or dip the end in resin to make pushing it through the hundreds and hundreds of holes.
The armour does look really good.
I was literally just wishing for this video recently!
I've been watching your two lamellar videos a few times now to try to get the concept and I think I have it. The only problem now is I'm not sure how to weave the plates themselves together as you did at some point between these videos. Do you happen to have one that I just haven't seen or do you have a link that I can see how to do it?. It looks incredible and I can't wait to try my hand at it
Do you think about adding spaulders?
have you worked with vinegaroon dye before? I'm thinking about using it on a wallet. If not that, what should I use?
Loved the vid! Probs never going to LARP or make something this lovely, but I love watching a crafter do what they love :)

Unfortunately I don’t know latin (I plan to learn) and the mystery of what you said is eating at me now lol
@@elizabethculpepper4050 it's essentially gibberish, just search "lorum ipsum" and it explains it haha
OminousPineapple ah I see. That’s neat and cool to know. I’m hoping to learn Latin soon but I’m working on other things.
not bad can we wear it on motorbikes too?
I have never found Lamellar armour in a thrift store. I'm just unlucky I guess :D
I'm with you... always looking though haha
I want to know whrn your gona start some fantasy viking armur
What are the dimensions on the lamellae plates?
I really enjoy watching your on leather crafting. Thank you for them.
By the way, have you ever done a leather corset? :)
I've done some corsette ish things but nothing is release a video. I'd need to redo it.
Out of curiosity, are there other pieces to the armor? I've seen other photos of lamellar pauldrons...but was wondering if you ever saw this used with the lower bod---thighs/knees/lower legs?
Haven't seen any lower body stuff just some shoulders. Take a short row and tie it over the shoulders.
How have the 22ga brass plates held up over time, stood up to shots, etc if you don't mind me asking? I'm planning to make a new rig and they seem like a good option.
They've been fine but I also dont get hit in the body a ton. Calontir Trim still has some of these plates that I special ordered if you ask them.
Thanks, brother! This video inspired me to finally edge my lamellar. I'm going to modify your pattern for the upper chest to sex-up my armor a bit, too. Count Nikolai, Mid.
Awesome. :)
and would you get a coat of plates if you put the Lamellar between two layers of canvas or leather ?
Well brigadine / a coat of plates is more butted instead of overlapping I think.
Could you use cowhide for edging?
Well, that leather is cow... so yes. Just needs to be thin.
where can i the bronze lamellars from?
The Brass Lamellar I have here is linked in the description of this video.
But I'm not certain on bronze, probably nowhere unless you special request it.
Hi, Have you ever tried attaching lamellae with real (or pseudo) leather laces to be more purist as compared to using paracord, or would that jeopardize its strength ? Thank you
I do a lot of combat in my armor, and the pain of replacing broken leather cord is too much for me. Totally doable though, just need to be ready to replace it a lot sooner.
I'm not sure what you called those bottom parts, but I heard it as 'man tassles'
Hi, sure I'm just missing it, but what kind of lacing are you using? Paracord? Do you know the size? Thanks!
Just regular old normal paracord.
Hey can you do a leather chest plate
also loved the video and your patterns
oh shit you're a knight! given the polish of your work, I guess I should have suspected that haha!
Haha, I figured someone would either say 'What's with the white belt?' Or someone would say 'Oh you're a Knight.'
*edna mode* NO KNOTS!
Haha
Im not sure i agree with the lack of beardness lately
Gotta keep people guessing. ;)
Same.. but I suppose different beards for different faces..
My favorite part of the video is when he was lacing.
Funny enough it wasn't my favorite part of making it! :P😄
You know, your voice sounds like Kevin Sorbo. Like when you’re not on screen and talking it literally sounds like Kevin Sorbo is doing the video
Haha that's a first..
