You should be able to lift the rear seat with just two latches under the seat. Should be roughly between the legs of the passengers sitting on the seat on either side. Super simple and easy to remove to check for that sound. Plenty of RUclips videos on this if you wanted to look it up for yourself
Yeah, I knew about this vent early on and covered it on week 1 of ownership. I suppose it could have happened before then. I’ll have another look. Thanks!
I have my 2020 M3 and never extended the warranty at that time. I've only had small issues here and there but never amounted to the $2K for the extended warranty. My 2020 M3 has currently 83K miles. I instead left the $2K in my savings account accumulating 4.6% APY. So, I did a hard pass on the extended warranty at that time. Not worth it.
Thanks for sharing and this video @teslatipsTrips. I have been struggling with what I am gonna do. I too have a 2020 M3 SR+...warranty expires on Sept 8th! I was gonna pull the trigger but after watching this video, it seems its not worth it especially with how many exclusions there are! tesla's smart hence they had all these exclusions..since they are mostly what people will come in for
@@TeslaTipsTrips the pebbles sounds like they are under the back seats very annoying Service said from driving the wheels can kick gravel and it just roils back and forth Take it to them they solved my issue and it’s never returned Perhaps they seal it
I purchased a used 2021 Model Y a few weeks ago Through Tesla, my Model Y is still until the manufacturer's warranty. I believe my alignment is off, and my breaks vibrate when I do have to use the breaks. Does anyone know if the manufacturer's warranty covers breaks and the alignment?
@TeslaTipsTrips 50k warranty = cheap elon Tesla have a better warranty before But I don't have to worry I switched from model 3 lr to honda hybrid sport
This video has been an eye-opener for me, and I appreciate your willingness to share your expertise. On another note, your countenance exhibits an unexpected parallel to those with neurodevelopmental disorders, echoing the innovative essence of Elon Musk's endeavors. Looking forward to more videos!
$2k for only 2 years of additional coverage is steep. It should be more like 4 years
I got the extended warranty for my refreshed M3 LR 👍🏻😎
Piece of mind my friends piece of mind , covered for 6 years 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Mine was 1800

Love the channel and your enthusiasm!
Thanks so much! I appreciate that.
Under your seat is a vent...shine a light in the vent from the back seat and remove whatever is making the sound

I’m with you on this. I believe you are going to be ok.
Palo Alto CA service has also been salutary. I felt spoiled.

I agree. Probably the biggest risk is the AC going out and you basically have $2100 to throw at it.
Interestingly $2100 is exactly the cost of Extended Service Agreement (Model Y) +$100 deductible 🤔
@@TeslaTipsTrips my friend had his A/C on his M3 go out right outside of warranty. I don't know the details, but he paid $3k to repair it.
Good answer.
Regarding that noise I had the same thing
Take it to service it’s pebbles that got into the car from underneath it’s true thank me later
Where was the pebble located?

Good video as usual. Is the high voltage battery guaranteed for 10 years or 150000 miles in California? I get mixed messages. Thanks.
Thank you! I get mixed messages on this also. I’ll dig deeper.
100k for the smaller battery
120K for the larger pack
@@RayNLA I was asking about California law regarding electric battery warranty. Not Tesla's

Thanks for watching. Unfortunately those items are not covered under warranty. Brakes rarely need service on these cars, so that is odd to hear.
Thanks for letting me know. Who knows how the previous owner drove it. I’ll set up a service appointment with Tesla to get everything checkout.
you MUST bring it to tesla now that your car is loosing its marbles
🤣
I disagree, I would always recommend the extended warranty IF you can afford it.
Fair point. But if you can afford the repairs, then why waste the money?
I agree.nah....
50k is whack
Driving 50k miles, or the warranty ending at 50k miles? Thanks for watching

Honda warranty, and most car warranties are 3 year / 36k miles. Tesla has always been 4 years / 50k
@@TeslaTipsTrips extended warranty 120k😏 honda
Grade A weirdo.
