Small tip is to NOT combine "Slash blades" with "Stab handles" you will loose damage by doing that. Pay attention to the icons "slash" and "stab" if the arrows are pointing down you are dropping damage by combining them. For example 3:03 you are combining the Black Steel Cutter which is a Slash weapon with a Stab handle. You are better of with putting the fire dagger into that stab handle since the dagger is a stabbing weapon if that makes sense. Pay attention to the Attack types of the heads you put on the Handles. For example: The Black Steel Cutter Blade is terrible at Stab damage so even though the Spear handle is S scaling, a head that is good at stabbing will get the most out of the handle over a pure slash prefered head.

I just finished an Advance run and I would suggest completely ignoring the scaling on most weapons. The difference between a regular weapon with an Advance Crank (D scaling) and an S scaling weapon is about 25-30 elemental damage at 40 Advance and low Motivity/Technique. Maybe there Advance handles have bonuses to status build up, but if so I never noticed in testing. As a result, for the Acidic Crystal I would recommend using it on the City Longspear Handle. The Longspear has a very long range on its charged R2, and with the dagger head it charges very quickly. For the Salamander Dagger I really liked the Booster Glaive Handle. It's attack speed is barely slower than the regular Salamander Dagger Handle, it has decent mid-range despite having a dagger head, and the charged R2 makes you charge forward. Alternatively, the Salamander Dagger Blade on the Live Puppet's Axe Handle is surprisingly good. Its basic attacks are slow for a dagger but its charged R2 has a better range than you'd expect and for some reason, its damage is ~100-150 higher than the charged R2s of similar heavy handles. It also comes out faster than you'd expect for a handle that is otherwise fairly slow. At the end of the game I paired it with the Black Steel Cutter Blade, and while charged R2s did about 1100 damage per hit, I don't know if I would recommend it because they were pretty slow. Lastly, I used the Circular Electric Chainsaw Blade on the Chef's Knife Handle. Fast, triple-hit charged R2s are very nice since the blade needs to stack up to 4 hits to be at maximum effectiveness. It's also very good on the Salamander Blade Handle, though as you said you'd lose damage on R1s. I didn't try the Carcass Crystal Axe but from the wiki it looks slower than the Acidic Crystal, and since that already gets great damage and range from the City Longspear Handle I don't know if it would be better. It's also basically NG+ only. Anyway, the long and short of it is that I'd recommend exploring weapon move sets you like over just blindly following weapon scaling. The actual damage differential is much smaller than you'd expect even at the Advance softcap and the additional speed, range and charged R2 damage often ofsets, or even completely mitigates, the loss of 20-30 damage from being at D Advance scaling.
What is the max scaling for the Electric Coil Stick handle. I upgraded from B to A already. But If want to put 2 more advance cranks on it, the preview still shows A instead of S. While the Acidic Spear Handle for example would go from a A to an S?

I wanna try out the electric saw blade on a salamander handle. You’d be limited mainly to R2s for slashes, but it has good advance scaling+really fast move set to quickly stack the electric buff.
Actually the comment is right, cause if you actually look at the full set, so blacksteel blade with crystal spear combined if you actually look it has a minus not a equal, equal means it's fine minus removes that type and down arrow means less damage, so if you look the slash is minus which means it's not doing any slash damage only stab but that blade gets less damage from stabbing, now yes it is element but now you are losing extra damage for the wrong handle.
@@gimonkey98 the thing I've found in testing is that the damage output actually tends to be higher even with less stab damage due to the speed and amount of attacks in a given time so the actual DPS is higher.

Lots of these comments crack me up, they come here for help but then act like they know it all lmaoo 😂😂🤦🏾♂️
The video is crazy - just from the thumbnail alone I’m not going to watch lol
Just asking but what if i would pair the black steel blade with the chef cook handle? wouldn i only lose like 11 elementel dmg from the handle not being advanced?
I did this, but threw a crank on there to get D scaling.
At that pt, make sure you have enough pts in Adv (min 50), and it shreds. That charged heavy procs Burn quickly!
03:06 there is literally an downard arrow over the Stab attacks, i mean, i don't think that take a genius to understand that that weapon is not made to THRUST but to SLASH bro... you're showing a really bad combination... don't being so approximative please.
Great video! Can you do an advance build?
I will also do build videos yes :)!
@@P4wnyhof I can't wait.😂
Problem with this game is it's too hard. Even from the very beginning. If you have to play 2 hours just to progress 5 mins into the game it's not going to be a fun game to play. The main defense aspect is insanely difficult to master because they send you back to the beginning of a level instead of having optional save points like other games. If you are going to have an insanely difficult game have the beginning be easy so you can learn and build your technique and then have the game get increasing harder. This game is just too difficult to be fun
I’m doing a motility build. No pints in Advamve so the electric weapon wouldn’t be a good choice
i have not leveled advance at all but the coil slaps even with a motivity build
@@EYETASTIC I’ll try it
Just match the elements to the enemies and you do almost 50% more damage
Electric - bots
Fire - zombie
Acid - human
@@razgriz2276 tried the electric weapon but didn’t do a lot of damage so that ain’t true unless it’s leveled up. I have motility build and I think the mat weapon is advance
@@gporr7004 correct because i thought it was obvious, advance scales up the "elemental" part of the weapon and the "weakness" match only multiplies the elemental, not the physical portion of the damage.
Example, say you deal 30 phys, 30 electric
Vulnerable enemy only take 50% more electric 30(15)=45
But with advances scaling the 30 become 60
Now vulnerability 50٪ 60(30)=90
Big difference
is this advanced build more powerful than holy sword or ark?
It way more user friendly and yes frankly spoken incredible powerful :)
Carcass axe is good? Or acid spear is best
Carcass axe aint bad - Spear is just faster and better for many fights :)
Who would use these weapons 😅
Well i beat the game 6 times with various combinations of these weapons? :S
@@P4wnyhof you mislead like 100k ppl 😅😅😅😅😅😅
You made an S tier scaling weapon that stabs with a blunt tip… what?
Jep - Because the "negative" is so minimal it does not matter :)
Hi your level? Advance 80?
Bro just spitballing
😂😂😂
But you can’t have the same handle on multiple weapons at the same time
Well you swap for the situation mate 👍
I missed the merchant in the arcade 😑 where is he?
Around the well before the underground part arcade key part!
@@P4wnyhof thabk you kind sir, I found him
Top 5? You mean the only 5 advance weapons? Lmao
Sounds a bit boring using the same lame ass stab handle over an over
I laughed through the whole game while stabbing bosses to death :)
Give it a try
QUESTION BRO.. I wanted to know what you thought about the black steel cutter blade paired with the electric coil handle. Please let me know what you think about that. I haven't reached the other handle that you talked about at the end of the video I'm almost there and I can't really make up my mind whether I like the black steel handle or if I like the coil handle I like the coil handle because of the extra special attack and the speeds a little better but the damage is pretty much the same the movesets are a little different and I wanted to know what you think
