I spoke to Groove life today. They said the card will be available online in the future for $10. The battery lasts 1 1/2 years. I have the original belt and I love it. I’ve had it since it first came out.
This was from GrooveLife today (5/30/24): Unfortunately, the tracker card in the Trace Wallet will not be sold separately. It is not compatible with our GO Wallet or our Original Wallet
Dope product, but I’d personally hesitate to call it an “Airtag Killer” because that Ultra Wideband tech is the reason why lots of people still opt for an AirTag, even for wallet use. That precision finding is CLUTCH on a practical level of finding your items in home…like inside your couch cushion 😂
Yeah, I think that's a personal choice. For me, the Wideband feature isn't as useful as the form factor is. I would take this card over an Airtag any day, So for me this is a Killer, but to each his own!
The ultrawide band is a big deal to me too. I’m not worried about someone stealing my wallet and throwing away the AirTag. I’m worried about where the hell did I put my wallet before leaving home. I rely on the precise find my location all the time lol
hmm that I don't know. I don't know if Apple uses different tech for their tracking. I was under the impression that they were the same technology, but I don't know the specifics.
Battery lasts 1.5-2 years and costs $10 to replace after the $120 day warranty. Also on the website is says “Note: In order for the Trace wallet to work properly, we recommend replacing the money clip with the wallet go attachment on the back of the wallet.” So thats kinda concerning and not cool
Hey @@Jephthahs_Daughter - there was a typo in the description. Thank you for calling that out! From GrooveLife (5/30/24): Unfortunately, the tracker card in the Trace Wallet will not be sold separately. It is not compatible with our GO Wallet or our Original Wallet.
I hope they’re right. I enjoy my Groove Wallet and have been trying out other card trackers which have left a lot to be desired. Fingers crossed they release the card itself.
Seems like they don't sell the card separately? That's an odd decision but I guess they're trying to push the wallets for now with that as the selling point because it's not a feature standout otherwise, which is ok, you can compete on quality not features, preferred even
I have three of their belts and got rid of all my other belts. I have a few of the rings as well but never heard of the wallet until now. Thanks for the review, still won’t get me away from my Open Sea Leather front pocket wallet.
Very cool! Their belts and rings are top tier! Wallets are such a personal choice, I totally understand when someone wants to stay with one they love. I have a few wallets from Open Seas and I love them--more videos on them to come. :)
Great video! This is the first video of yours I have seen and I’m impressed. I am a new subscriber and looking forward to watching more! I was an OG backer on Kickstarter for the Groovelife wallet. I was super excited because I love their products and actually use a groovelife ring as my wedding ring. I have had the wallet since it came out and long term review is that it is just ok. The sliding mechanism loosens after a while, the door that pops out so the cards can slide past doesn’t always stay closed, the cards don’t step out just all come out at once (mind you I only keep two IDs a debit card and a credit card in it. And the action of sliding my cards in and out has peeled the edges of my debit card. Also it’s a little larger than a Ridge wallet what I was originally using. The best part about the groove wallet is the leather back with an extra pocket and elastic strap. My next wallet I will be trying out is the Magpul DACA everyday. It’s $24. And has an ID display window which will be nice to not have to pull out every time I need to display it.
do they sponsor you in some way? it kinda sounds like they do EDIT: ok, you mention that they sponsor the video at 2:15. maybe mention that at the top? totally misleading video
@@BeastMadeReviews no need to be defensive. yes, it's misleading if you mention it only at 2:15, and not at all in the title of the video or the description beneath. many if not most of your viewers will miss the short, mid-video segment where you mention your sponsorship since most viewers do not watch videos in their entirety (as I'm sure your data will confirm), and they will incorrectly believe you are unaffiliated.
Curious how it DESTROYS AirTagswhen you don’t know the specifics on batteries and technology. I like the thin design for sure, but you sound like a salesman for Groove.
Well I am a salesman for Groove Life for this video. I mentioned that. But it’s still my honest opinion that these are better. As for an AirTag killer, I mentioned that too. The size and convenience are far superior. I got my wallet before they launched it, so I could find all the details. Others have pointed out the battery life and warranty. The warranty itself DESTROYS Apple AirTags.

yes, as far as I am aware, this is only sold with the wallet currently. I would guess that will change in time, though.
There are lots of 3rd party cards that work with find myz. They usally cost around 15-20$
I also wish they sold it separately but I assume they will down the line, especially as replacements if the original is lost or broken
