I have AirTags in both my vehicles. Not only is it helpful if you need to find your car in packed lot, but if anyone were to ever steal the car getting its location quickly would be useful. We also recently moved from Oregon to Delaware and had one of are cars shipped. I was able to track its movements across the country so always knew precisely where it was in the journey. Finally, if you ever have need to locate a family member who for whatever reason is unable to communicate having an AirTag in the vehicle could be very helpful (all family members knew an AirTag was in the vehicle). AirTags are also good for temporary tracking. When we moved all our stuff was stored in two Pods. Put AirTags in both to again know where they were on their journey.
When I had plantar fasciitis, I got one of those canes that opens up into a seat (the Ta-Da cane, love it). Since I don't normally use a cane, I made sure I could fasten an air tag to it, using one of the available waterproof cases for the air tag. Instrument players who do gigs can also toss one into their cases/amps/etc. Paul McCartney could've used one, all those years ago!
I have 3 brain tumours. My life currently consists of looking for things and forgetting what I’m looking for. Currently setting up 20 air tags to help my addled brain 🧠
I absolutely love my AirTags, and I appreciated the ideas for uses that you showed. One of the best changes has been that Apple allows AirTag sharing. Since we have kids with stuff that we AirTag, it's great for both parents to be able to link to the tags. Also, my older kids have their own iPhones. I haven't found a wallet yet that I like, but I'm checking out these that you show. I definitely think I need one for my tv remote. As some others mention here, we put tags in our vehicles too, mainly in case of theft, but also to know where they are sometimes.
I put mine in my go pro case and sometimes even attach it to my go pro (12) because the precision tracking is especially helpful when it gets lost during a shoot or another scenario
I’ve seen several comments here about people using AirTags on their kids or pets or elderly parents. Just remember that they only work when an iPhone is nearby. If your cat goes off into the woods etc. there won’t be any way to locate it. Of course even with that limitation they are better than nothing!
Great ideas here to track objects if you misplace them in your house or car but if you misplace your "stuff" outside of these areas and the airtags are visible won't they just be removed. You would then be tracking your airtag not your lost "stuff". If you are using airtags have them hidden so that someone that takes a liking to your "stuff" won't know they are being tracked (unless they are tracking their own airtags, then they will know your airtag is hidden as they are alerted by their tracking). Hide your airtags, don't get accessories that show them off.

I think AirTags in wallets and passport holders is more for the forgetful owner than someone worried about theft. I've left home without my wallet before. Now I'm at work freaking out trying to retrace my steps.
