When Tanya said, my own vaginal father…? Had me on the floor. Such a character, great lines, superb acting, just an awesome show. Second season was even better. Love the series. Love HBO.
@@kumudinipictures you can say that there are hindus outside of india as well but what he said too isnt as serious as youre making it, you know what he means. Please dont sound silly by trying to separate hinduism from india or whatever lol, 'hindu' literally came from persian and it means 'indian'. It's literally entirely indian culture
@@Chandan-uj3sk That is the whole point. The show is poking fun at American wellness culture and how it completely misappropriates religion from other countries as "new age medicine" it can abuse for its own purposes. It removes it from its context, while fetishizing that very same context, with notions of "awakening" "cleansing" etc. even though they can't even speak the language
I think from what she was been through sad and sorrow like griefing at this scene, the Gayatri Mantra help her for comeback neutralize the sad emotion like an acceptance from her grieving stage.
"just" a money seeker? She went to work everyday just trying to do her job. Tanya latched on to her and offered her money to start a business together. Most entrepreneurial people would attempt to make that work. Reducing her to "just a money seeker" is reductive and plainly inaccurate
@@Floresco_swhat’s wrong with not liking that? Being a black women of course it will feel uncomfortable for her when she’s taking care of a bunch of rich privileged people with a totally different status and background than her. She’s being exploited there. To call her a money seeker when Tanya put the whole business in her mind is ridiculous
@@kamronramelmeier9264 she said to Tanya, a rich white lady, that she doesn’t like that it’s all rich white people. And you can see pretty clearly that she’s going to use that to her advantage because Tanya says that she would find a spa for Belinda, because Tanya would use some of her half a million dollar fortune on it. It’s uncomfortable for anyone to work and serve higher privileged people. I didn’t mean to sound rude or racist in any way and I apologize if I did, but from what I saw in the show, in season 1, that’s what was going to happen. Again, sorry if I came off as rude.

I loved this short series ❤
A strange relationship that worked well within the show.
Worked well for Tanya, yes.
This is a very normal dynamic in service Jobs
i LOVE THIS SCENE
Love HBO. Always discerning 👍
Incredible. Amazing show. 💎
She has her own show 🥰🥰🥰 so proud of her 😊
Tanya =Angelina
Belinda= Natalie's Jacket
I can’t tell anyone about this scene without laughing
Is there a full version of the music that she was singing? 4:10
That's the Gayatri mantra:
Om Bhur Bhuvaḥ Suvaha
Tat-savitur Vareñyaṃ
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yonaḥ Prachodayāt
This is called gayatri mantra
It's from Hinduism
It's a mantra!
It's a mantra... They literally destroyed it tbh... It's never like that
3:43 That's Gayatri Mantra, only Indians will know
That's right Gayatri mantra is for only in the morning times and used by Hindus. Also, intonation is incorrect, weird lines for this scene...

Does anyone know the exact episode and minute in which this scene begins?
Jennifer Coolidge played a masseuse in an episode of "Seinfeld"
Why she did not get nominated for an emmy is beyond me.
they both did?
That's Stifler's Mom!
Amazing
Does anyone know what kind of massage this is? Or how this is called
What was the purpose of using the Gayatri Mantra here?
(I'm not offended, it's just weird).
I think from what she was been through sad and sorrow like griefing at this scene, the Gayatri Mantra help her for comeback neutralize the sad emotion like an acceptance from her grieving stage.
I think this is just shos the fetishisation of eastern cultures by westerners. They have no understanding of it, just think it's woke and fashionable.
What was weird about using tools to help and heal? You sound annoyed and bitter
Rofl when she repeated the Hindu chant 😂😂😂😂
She kind of seen how she'll die in Season 2 at the end of the video.
