- In celebration of the release of his new Solo 6 FR Poltergeist, Chris Poland gave a performance at the Schecter demo room
on Thursday, January 22. Metal Life captured HD video of his jam session with his band, and staff member Karila wholefully admits that he is definitely one of her favorite guitarists ever.
I love the way the audience looks like a bunch of bikers.
The most humble looking shredder ever.
Chris Poland, Jeff Young, Marty Friedman, Al Petrelli.
Dave Mustaine always have a good sense on finding the great guitarists.
He always had a high barrier of entry, they must be better than Dave!
Don't forget Kiko
@@meloytachy37I already did
@@kaleendavis8427 sad :(
I never get tired of Chris' playing, he's the only Megashredder I listen to out of Megadeth, I got all Ohm albums and Metalopolis and Damn The Machine too. I liked his Yamaha better, btw.
Dude Return to Metalopolis it's such a great solo album, it's a special one for me!
He sounds great here too but those Yamahas he had singing.
ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES.....AND HE SEEMS A NICE GUY WITH A LOT OF STORY TO TELL.....CHEERS CHRIS.....
He was born this way. No robotic technical training. Just pure juicy creamy talent!!!
Chris is still amazing, and continues to be one of the most successful guitarists at blending phenomenal technique with soulful , melodic playing. Absolutely love this. Thanks for the upload.
ps- bonus laughs for the patented arms folded, scowling looks of "ok, impress me" from the kid behind him. Hahahah! Classic guitar store pose.
MARSHOMEWORLD The guy with his arms folded is a brilliant scientific discovery people! We have finally found the missing link in evolution !!! Either that or He's the Last of the Mohicans ! Haha
@Victor Buford I can understand your feelings on that particular situation, sure. But "Heroin Junkie" seems a kind of lazy, basic way to describe someone who was a drug addict AS WELL AS a brilliant musician, a brother, a human being , an artist as well as many other things more complicated than any one word description could really paint the complete picture. And remember, Mustaine was a legendary level addict in his on time as well. Don't get me wrong, LOVED Megadeth back in the day; saw them as early as the Peace Sells tour, and The were simply untouchable as a live band; drunk, belligerent, fucked-up...ALL of them, but they all played with an intensity in that first line-up that was like watching a 4 headed monster just shred every other band on the bill to death (deth). So, they shared great musical times as well as feuds and law suits etc later...probably kind of a karma balance for Dave's good deeds (forming Megadeth and being an iconic songwriter, as well as a great thinker who inspired so many people and his not so good (as him who REALLY drew the first VIC RATTLEHEAD sketches, and who then stole them and never gave that guy so much as a royalty check for the 30 + years Vic has been generating $$$ for Mustaine's pockets from merch featuring that art....yeah, everyone has their ups and downs. Chris Poland too.
Oh my goodness. What CAN'T this cat play. From Megadeth to his own stuff to this. He's an amazing player and THAT SOUND from the schecker guitar is awesome. Its just inspiring to watch him play. After all thsse years Chris Poland is still an outstanding guitarist.
his soloing is like listening to old megadeth records =)
Absolutely LOVE the crowd. Arms crossed, no smile, front row, show me what you got. Luckily Chris delivered.
No. The audience was lucky to even be in Chris' presence at all. Chris has nothing to prove to anyone.
That vibrato at 1:29 made me weak at the knees...
I would love to see him back in Megadeth!
1:10 I heard the Black Friday solo
I watched this video to see this guitar in action. Great blues jamming! I'm getting one!

Nice
Whaaa??? That was most awesome...here only because someone is selling one of his guitar models, the Solo 6, on CL...and then it was "Oh, he's from Megadeath", so I'm thinking Dave Mustaine music, then I click on this and hear this superior blues playing "Eric Clapton on steroids" thing going on...wow!
Chumlee is there too....
good
I love this clip, rock on, Chris! But what the hell is wrong with that audience? If you can't enjoy musicianship like this, LEAVE!!!
MEGADETH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
