I have a family member who worked at Thomas Keller’s famous French Laundry restaurant for years. He was fortunate enough to once serve Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, and Cuba Gooding Jr. the night after the Oscars ceremony. He told me Jack was in the kitchen (guests are invited to explore the grounds of the restaurant since it’s quite an experience to dine there) and while he’s chatting with the chefs, one of them asks him, “Hey Jack, what do you gotta do to make it in Hollywood?”
And Jack says, “If you don’t have tits, you don’t have a shot.”

JN is a legend. Also happens to be my favorite actor of all time. I was in NYC at a business meeting and stayed at the Sherri Netherlands hotel. I went down to the bar around 1;00 am to get a drink. In walks Jack and sits next to me. I’m not star struck much as I grew up in the city and worked in Manhattan for 20 years and seen many stars on the streets. Anyway, I had to say hello and told him One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest was my favorite film of all time…we got to talking and wound up having four drinks with him. He had about six. Very down to earth guy and a party animal. As I said…..Legend. PS I left before him and he was still sitting there at the bar.

I guess this is what part one of a rehabilitation marketing tour looks like.
This is his 4th interview in the past month. Far from part one. He didn't even want to have to make his rounds defending himself and just wanted to move on. But he was forced to after that one sided documentary came out that used the journalist who colluded with Anthony Rapp to lie on Spacey in that initial buzz feed article. In the end it's a good thing to get his side of the story and get context of the allegations which now just prove the men lied, exaggerated or just misinterpreted what was actually happening between them and Spacey. The least people can do is hear his side of things and then just make up their minds instead of relying on the click bait media that only focuses on initial allegations and never covers the outcomes and what was revealed in the trials.

Unlike some people, I have the ability to differentiate between Spacey's legal+personal issues and his acting. Regardless of what he may or may not have done off-screen, he's a talented actor and never ceases to impress and entertain.

Why people like Spacey have that "celebrity card" for their past while "regular" people don’t. He was my favorite actor but this "washing my image" tour is sluggish. It was a public secret that he was creep then it became open truth. Imagine some average joe in that situation.

I was a teenager in LA. Walter Mathau flew into LAX for a multi day poker game at Jack Nicholson's house. After the limo driver dropped Mr. Mathau off at Nicholson's house, he came and picked us up (driver was friend's cousin.). Apparently, the games could go multiple days? We went to some pretty nice crazy places in that car. I don't remember a lot of it, but I carry some of the trauma from that night still.

I have always liked Kevin Spacey and do not believe he is innocent, I believe he would try to seduce someone, but I also believe when they said no, pressed a bit more, then let it go. He is a great actor and I think like he said a romantic. He has not been found guilty on any count! Nothing...I believe those who accused him were after his money, or like he also said, needed a climb up the ladder...So yeah I am for you Kevin Spacey and look forward to your work! He is coming out in more ways than one!
