Saw Se7en alone at the cinema one bitterly cold January evening back in ‘95 (my friend bailed on me). The ending blew me away and not having anyone to discuss it with afterwards just amplified the effect. It’s still my favourite cinema experience of all time.
Damn somehow I oddly understand what you’ve been through. I was born in 96 and I saw this movie about five years ago for the first time I could tell we would’ve been good friends.
I had plans to go to an October fest after I saw the movie. I was so freaked I forgot about the Octoberfest, when home, turned on all the lights. Never been so unnerved by a movie since.
that car ride in Se7en is one of the best dialogues in cinema history "You're no messiah. You're a movie of the week. You're a f***ing t-shirt, at Best."
Usual Suspects is the GOAT. It's also indisputable IMO that the 90s is the best era of movies ever. They were still doing practical effects and were still experimenting and not just making what would make the most money. So many crazy good movies. The fact that shawshank and the usual suspects didn't win best picture alone says it all

I dont know if any of you saw Mr. Spaceys interview with Pierce Morgan but i would recommend it. After i saw it, i thought, Mr. Spacey waited a long time to tell his side of the story; he could have been making the rounds right after he was accused but he didnt. I know there was pending litigation, but he could have tried to make excuses, but he didnt, and he still isnt. Even though he was found innocent in court, he still acknowledges he made some mistakes. He came across as humbled from the whole experience. I dont know him, but he seems to understand the gravity of his past behavior. I think that says something. I hope you all watch it before you pass judgment. Does he deserve forgiveness? Sin is sin to God no matter what sin you commit; a person stealing a pack of gum has the same gravity as physically assaulting another person. Be careful judging; weve all done things we arent proud of, all we can do is try to make things right. The difference with Mr. Spacey is it is happening in the public eye, and therefore the public thinks they can be judge and jury, when in reality you all no nothing of the truth of what happened and neither do i. If you think CNN, Fox or a third-party documentary is truth you are kidding yourself; it is about ratings and views, not truth.
That scene is the most iconic and the most beautiful piece of cinematography EVER!! All 3 of them worked so beautifully together it turned a movie into a masterpiece. A movie that everyone’s heard about which is pretty amazing. A great movie!!
Worked in a movie theater opening weekend...a couple on date night exited after the "box" scene...I enthusiastically exclaimed "Wasn't that an awesome movie!?" She looked at me in horror and pointed at her date,"He's NOT getting laid, tonight!"😅

This movie traumatized me as a kid. I was about 13 when I first saw Se7en in theatres when it first came out. Me, my 2 friends and this girl I liked, who happened to be the sister of one of them, went to the theatre to get our minds off of an accident that we had the day before. She went out to the lobby to collect herself, and i followed her. I calmed her down, and we ended up kissing right when her brother, aka my friend, walked out and saw us locking lips. He was a pretty wild kid so he when he confronted us kind of aggressively, some bigger bully kids thought he was acting too tough for his age and size so one of them tripped him and they all laughed. My friend Tommy got this evil grin on his face, stood up, and started beating the older kid with a metal pole that was attached to the red velvet rope from the popcorn line. I'd never seen anything like it, and I've never watched this movie the same since that day.
He has so many great movies, but IMO his best was Margin Call. If you have not seen it, check it out. Spacey is at his A-game in it. The movie has a cult following.

I think it was Mark Ruffalo who was in Zodiac that said Fincher might sometimes also do a lot of takes for Kinda everything being in place with the acting but the background, to align what's happening there perfectly to the foreground. So like Mark would be confused like everything is there working but Fincher still wants another, but Mark didn't know it's because Fincher is looking for an xtra with an yellow raincoat to walk past at the right time of the scene 😄 Which is part of why he is so good at framing. I once had this female friend who had this expensive camera and was into photography, but then once we were just hanging out and taking pics of each other. I at some point said to her that I want the background kinda like this and that so if she goes here and there. She said that she never even thinks about the background but just what she is taking the picture of. I don't know if the composing things to align comes more naturally from draving or whatever, but it was kinda odd to me that she had that expensive thing but looked kinda narrowly what she's doing. Then again like older me have tought that I guess whatever works for you.. or you find enjoyable even if it really isn't 😅
Fincher was coming off Alien 3 which was a disaster. he was pretty much nuclear at that point (especially at FOX). no one wanted him. his career was about over before it began. but i think it was Koppleson, (who had a dislike for FOX) was intrigued by the way Sigourney Weaver stood up for Fincher and defended him in the press and maintained that he was a visionary director who needed to be taken seriously. because of that Koppleson decided to take a shot on Fincher and let him do Se7en. the rest is history.
I will never ever watch that movie again. Not cos it’s bad, but because it’s brilliant. I am not sensitive guy on these murders, that doesn’t bother me. It’s because it doesn’t feel like it ended, it’s like, the movie kept rolling. It leaves such a bitter taste. So heavy.
Kevin Spacey os the greatest actor of all time in my opinion, and he was cheated out of the last decade of his career over some absolute BS! So glad he’s starting to come back around 👏🏻
Javier >> Spacey > Hopkins. Hopkins acted well but he wasn’t the serial killer that pulled you in with fear like those two, the guy with the lotion did that. (He’s up there too) But as a scene, just one scene, Spacy gets the nod as #1.
I’m confused! Did everyone forget those horrific allegations!? We’re talking about a man who makes Chris Hansens predators look like harmless teddy bears.
Even though I'm generally inclined to the anti-Hollywood, conspiracy crowd, I don't care about the allegations vs Kevin! I've always liked him and his work, and I believe in REDEMPTION.
These stories are great but I can’t help but think about the south park episode with George Clooney sniffing his own farts. I get it, it is a popular movie but this shit isn’t that magical.

my theory is that spacey is great at playing villains because he’s a villain in real life and straight up not a good guy
Wild theory
Agreed. Pedo ra is
You are one of the biggest fans of Kevin Spacey.
For kevin spacey not hardly be in this movie and the impact he had in it wow what a actor
yoo Outbreak was dope, Dustin Hoffman, Cuba Gooding, 90s awesomeness
I will never ever watch that movie again. Not cos it’s bad, but because it’s brilliant. I am not sensitive guy on these murders, that doesn’t bother me. It’s because it doesn’t feel like it ended, it’s like, the movie kept rolling. It leaves such a bitter taste. So heavy.
I'm so glad they finally laid off his back with the fake accusations. My favourite actor by far!
Seven is a friggin masterpiece.
Kevin Spacey should be the lead in the next True Detective season
I actually really like that movie Kpax - I know it’s not his best role or anything but yeh just loved it
Kevin Spacey os the greatest actor of all time in my opinion, and he was cheated out of the last decade of his career over some absolute BS! So glad he’s starting to come back around 👏🏻
He's a pedo. Face it. Are you one also? Supporting own kind.
Spacey is a good actor n Seven is great but it’s definitely not the greatest portrayal of a serial killer in cinema, c’mon now
I suppose Javier Bardem wasn't technically a serial killer in No Country but that to me is the best portrayal of a psychopath.
i like Anthony hopkins personally
Javier >> Spacey > Hopkins. Hopkins acted well but he wasn’t the serial killer that pulled you in with fear like those two, the guy with the lotion did that. (He’s up there too) But as a scene, just one scene, Spacy gets the nod as #1.
American Psycho? Duh.
León: Gary Oldman
Woah didn’t know Fincher cast someone ahead of Spacey. Wonder who it was or why he was fired.
"I think Fincher hates indulgence"
Ummm... has he seen The Killer? :)
Who was the actor they fired
That's what I wanted to know.
WHO WAS THE FIRED ACTOR?? What interviewer doesn’t follow that up ?????
this was absolutely gold
I’m confused! Did everyone forget those horrific allegations!? We’re talking about a man who makes Chris Hansens predators look like harmless teddy bears.
I love it when he does the Jack Lemmon voice!
Guess who's gearing up to rewatch Se7en again
As monstrous a person as Spacey is, he is no doubt the most versatile actor of my lifetime
Man he is terrifying. You can tell that's not how he speaks, his voice is much more deeper than this but he is playing a role here, a calm man.
Why wouldn;t he be calm. Could he not be relaxed?
@@treesaremadeofwood2145 How do you know it's even him and not a Spacey-bot ?
Dumb comment
He bit a man’s pencil off in Martha’s Vineyard
His instant switch to the Jack Lemmon voice was holy moly.
Because he is one in real life.
Oooh, he's an actor. This whole time I thought I was listening to a serial killer...
I get it, it is a popular movie but this shit isn’t that magical.
ah so you shxt on others by proxy and dont even get paid for for it
Man as Kevin ages he looks more and more like a 1970s Jack Benny,,, it's getting spooky...
Never thought of it before but that's a spot-on observation.
Lex got played
Can we go ahead and get a re-do of the final season of House of Cards now. That show just wasnt the same without Frank Underwood
Kevin Spacey is a genius. Period.
