There is no such thing as "sex work" and it shouldn't be defended. The people who take up such work are being done an injustice, the fact that such dehumanizing and degrading "work" is still around is an embarrassment and an abomination. No human being should ever have to subject themselves to that industry.

Sex workers and homeless people are the most marginalized groups of the population, that's why a lot of serial killers go after these two types of the population. And the underlined deeper sadness is that some sex workers and homeless people have mental illnesses so they are even furthermore marginalized and ignored if they do try to blow the whistle!

yea its so inhumane how as a society we just completely let down so many ppl like that. its crazy bc sex workers get persecuted & ridiculed even tho they're now just able to maintain a liable income they and their families can live off of, yet if they get a "respectable job" like fast food working for minium wage they'll get a pat on the back for being exploited by multi-billionaire companies like mcdonalds.

And the vast majority of sex workers are young women, who are constantly being told to 'do as they're told by men' if they want to be accepted by society, which is how many of them are lured and trapped into this lifestyle. It's not like they can just walk away to a safe job, stable home, and go about their day.

With Barbara, the homeowner it really upset me that she didn’t let her in but also…the world we live in today, i couldn’t blame her because that could also be the way some traffickers or psychos try to get you.
Exactly, there are far too many cases like this where being too kind can get you in hot water, though she did good by calling police.
I wonder if she ever felt guilty after hearing what happened to Shannan. Like you said, I understand why she didn't want to let her in, but knowing that could've saved her life hurts to think about.
What bothered me the most is her saying “I don’t see any danger though” and “We live in a gated community” all of that doesn’t matter danger can be ANYWHERE. Very upsetting.

I lived in the foster home in 1997 where the dad was a cop. He often said the cases with sex workers or homeless were NHI. That stood for "no human involved." Victims were given no respect or emotional support by the cops and other people working the cases. He hated that

My mother was a deputy sheriff and she told me about this. She worked in the sheriff dept just outside a reservation in Arizona and a lot of the cases where natives were involved were 'joked' as being NHI, but it was never in the paperwork, and if anyone from the reservation law enforcement came into the case the NHI talk completely disappeared. It was disgusting.
I hate it here. Imagine the fear and hate you have for homeless PEOPLE to do this. I live near a big city in Germany that’s infamous for having a lot of homeless drug addicts. These people would at most scream at someone or something and smell bad but wouldn’t hurt me or anyone for no reason. Many of them are very polite still and are sorry for bothering anyone by asking for money… And the misogyny for sex workers. How evil can you be to allow someone to die because you don’t agree with their profession. A profession that’s as old as money!
I really appreciate you extending kindness to the killer's wife. It's easy to go "how didn't she know" and hate her, but actually she was deliberately kept in the dark and must have been so traumatized. I'm an emotionally not super in touch dude and I got choked up hearing about these poor victims, I can't imagine how hard it must be to know someone who you were close to did that. If I were here I'd just curl up sobbing, honestly.
Dennis Raider's (BTK) wife and daughters had no idea that he was a serial killer. Many times, serial killers cover their tracks really well. When one of his daughters expressed concern about the BTK murders, he told her not to worry, that he'd protect her from anything happening to her.
She has divorced him due to harassment but she doesn't believe he done it, not one bit. She also wants to due NYPD for trashing the home and her loss of it. I seen the DA and Rex's Defence speaking to press and gathered some extra info from questions that were being asked. Such as the large doll taken out in a class case from Rex's home, similar dolls had been left on grave sites apparently. I suppose we'll know so much more when the case is over.
Thank you for humanizing the victims and telling us their backstories. Society often forgets they're just people trying to get by. There's a typecast or stereotype of of what a SW, especially thanks to Hollywood, but each one was unique with different personalities and their own dreams and goals. In many true crime shows, the focus in jusy on the killer and you're left wondering who the victims were and how their lives crossed paths. Again, thank you for dedicating a segment to them.
I think often times cases where it involves escorts authorities don’t really take it seriously and they see them as runaways. The fact that the killer tormented them and got off by just calling their families as a mockery is disgusting. He found satisfaction in killing these victims. The killer wanted attention and the fact that he kept searching himself up to see update of the case just to boost his ego baffles me. He is sick!
I think it's fair that we all know it's a fact that is why serial killers target them for the most part. I'm sure it's better than year ago but also SWs aren't going to report most incidents even if they want to they are usually not believed or helped sadly
Bad things happen to anyone, but having strong family relationships is something that will always make you less of a target to any predators, including abusive boyfriends etc. If you have someone to run away to, someone to help you and protect you - it's not safe for them. No one assumes that about sex workers. They think they at least have couple of days before someone notices.
Worked in the hotel industry before and I can confirm the police don't take incidents involving escorts seriously unless its suspected underage. Although I did come across one female supervisor officer who felt bad for them and made me release one escort's belongings back to her after she left it behind and ran off on her hotel bill. I actually physically held her at the door until she screamed Rapper so I let go and she slammed herself into the glass door. They always look for hotels that have security, in room safe. To discourage them from making reservations we adopted a no cash policy but they got around it by either using someone else credit card or called corporate to complain we didn't take cash

There was a serial who killed over 3 dozen women because of that. Cops didn't care because of their lifestyle.
I don't know why but when you said the sentence, "Blue isn't just John's beloved pet. Blue is a cadaver dog" It just sent chills into my body like the setting the mood for a scary story.

I live on long Island and I remember when all this was happening. My mom and I got lost by the ocean parkway and Jones Beach and my mom just goes " you know this is where they found all the bodies the other week" I will never forget that day. Iam glad they are still working on this case. Thank you stephanie for doing this case and going into depth on the details. I love your videos and they give me so much joy and comfort. Rest In Peace to these women 💔 It doesn’t matter what their professions/mental struggles/etc were, it’s absolutely tragic and sad that they will never get to see their families/friends again 😔.
It’s absolutely mind blowing how long he was able to get away with living his double life and getting away with such heinous crimes. It’s crazy how they stumbled on all those victims only because they were trying to locate Shannon. To think they’d probably not have been found had it not been for her disappearance. I’m so glad their families were able to get closure, now they deserve justice.

Hi Stephanie, I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I have a case suggestion. Some days ago in Greece a man named Antonis Karyotis was literally pushed off a boarding ramp by the ferry crew at the port Piraeus, right in front of hundreds of people. There are CCTV videos, videos taken from other passengers and tons of witnesses. The entire country is devastated, he was impaired too. He was so loved by his community, and his family is financially struggling now too because of all of this. I really love your true crime videos, you are so compassionate yet your storytelling is so compelling :D have a nice day, thank you!!
Update: the murderers aren't only murderers, but racist pigs apparently too. Some conversations were leaked in which the ship captain when informed about Antonis' murder was heard saying "Oh, I thought it was a black man or a Pakistani one so let's just keep the ship going" like WHAt!? This case has turned into a literal hate crime, I would love to see you cover this!! love you! 💜

Hearing that she or her baby weren’t identified breaks my heart. You’re telling me no one is missing these two? No one reported them missing? SOMEONE knew them, and I really hope and pray that there’s people trying to find someone who knows them. Killing people is cruel enough, but a toddler? I don't think it was a coincidence. This is why the number of missing cases for people of color are ridiculously high. Don't look up the number (per year), it's triggering.

I can’t imagine being that woman who called 911 and was like “this girl needs help but I’m not letting her in” then not too long later finding out that she was murdered!! I get it but that’s just such a hard situation for everyone-you know that you should help but nowadays you can’t be sure. Isn’t that sad!!?? It's very true but again this tends to also be ploy for kidnappings, she could have easily been a victim. Or even if that wasn't the case the girl could have been just tripping on drugs which could have led to her attacking the woman. It's not exactly safe to let strangers that are already freaking out into your home, mostly when you are alone.

Hindsight is 20/20. In that situation, specially in a gated neighborhood, that stuff is increeeeedibly sketchy.
It is such a difficult decision. My sister and brother-in-law made GOOD money. My sister was a night shift nurse making double pay and my brother-in-law is an actuary at a large insurance company. They lived in a very nice neighbourhood, not gated but REAL nice and quite safe. In 2014, my brother-in-law was home alone and a girl came to the door saying she had been raped and just needed to call 911. He let her in and she shot him and robbed my sister and brother-in-law's home. My brother-in-law did not die thankfully but his leg is still messed up to this day and he often has to use a walker, cane or this like small motor vehicle thing idk how to explain. He just trusted her and she shot him. He had hella PTSD for years but my sister was there for him and eventually they got through it. But that's the world we live in and you can't trust everybody.
I'm sure she felt devastated hearing the news but you really can't be overly trusting of people.
Stephanie, I really appreciate the way you discuss addicts and addiction on your channel. As a recovering addict, it means the world to me that you are so respectful about this topic. It’s so sad.
Yeah, she approaches all troublesome topics with much grace. She is unique in that regard, I will give her that. No mater if it's based on individual, like addiction, or about culture of some country that is to most other just unacceptable.. She always makes sure to say not to generalise on that whole ethnicity only because of some very old, weird, custom.

Shannan's disappearance could've been avoided if she stayed at Gus' house. She already got the attention and was already in a 911 call. This is why 911 operators tell victims to stay put, so they can send out help at the exact location. But she ran away, unintentionally starting a search that would reveal all the dead bodies. If not for Shannan, the killing spree victims might still be hidden in dirt and tall grass.

@@Johnne009 it's mainly caused by the drug/s that she took that time. It probably enhanced her intuition and she went paranoid about everything that's happening since she's dealing with men she doesn't know. I would also bet that the area itself was giving away a weird vibe since a lot of the victims were still undiscovered by that time. Another thing is that she must've heard about the killings and realized she was there where the victims went missing. Who wouldn't freak out about it? What I don't get is that why would Gus let her out of his sight? Or why did that lady didn't let her in? She basically let Shannan die out there. She could've check if it's a man or a woman out in front if her door, she was already in a 911 call anyway. She could've let her in, kept her in a locked room for safety and waited for cops to arrive.
@@steveknows_420the bodies hadn't been found yet so no one knew about them. Also, it's a common trick to get people to open the door. Someone hides out of sight while some "innocent, non threatening" young girl bangs on the door screaming about being in danger. When the person opens the door, the person/s hiding jump out and ambush them.
Lastly, do you really think someone who means harm is going to allow the homeowner the chance to put them in a locked room? Locked rooms inside of homes aren't very secure. They're for privacy not security. Then, what if the homeowner was a psycho and locked them in a room and tortured them?

Families of the victims were searching for them and reports were going around. People talk, rumors reach places that you can't even imagine. @@steveknows_420 being suspicious/cautious is better than sorry. Even in my country, there are many cases where people who wants to help someone on the street, ended up getting robbed then killed because turns out it's a trick.
The thing I love the most about your way of covering all these crimes is that you tell the victims story and focus on them. Honouring their memory. Finding as much information as you can about them and bringing their stories to the viewers. Sure, with the unofficial, potential victims, you skimmed more, but with the four securely linked, you give them the humanity that crime coverage usually doesn't.
You don't focus on the perpetrators, not giving them any glory, which really should be the way all of us go about this. Not nicknaming killers like "the night stalker" or "BTK", but ignoring the killers and focusing on the victims.
Its so crazy how Shannon's mom, Mari, was later killed by her other daughter, Sarra. Absolutely tragic

I grew up on Long Island and was a driver for a lot of working girls. And I will admit that there was a vibe of worry when it comes down to it. Certain people we’d not do based on the “spiteful” personality of some people. We came close to a real creeper in jersey. I’m 6’4 250 pounds and I there was a few times where I got “involved”. Guys demanding the girls to do degrading things. Then calling them and harassing them after. To this day I swear this guy was the disgusting jersey guy but he was just playing games. There were a lot of girls who changed the way they did business. It became more “public” like having an active online profile and not doing business without a tether to the driver.
This was and still is heartbreaking.
I remember the days when it was looked down upon(in the industry). I’m so glad it’s different now. If only it could be legalized…:/
@@UtopiaMotley Normalisation can influence the public to favour legalising it. Kinda like marijuana. Even if it's illegal and we know it's dangerous, people aren't gonna stop doing it (which is also the current phenomenon). Also, I feel that it's unfair to put all the responsibility on the workers, without the demand this whole industry will cease to exist.

I grew up on Long Island and was a child when the news of the murders broke out. My parents were terrified but felt safe because we lived in a gated community (which is quite ironic that the suspect lived in a gated community). To be honest, i dont remember much but I'm sure all of long island avoided the jones beach area (another huge state beach/park nearby gilgo beach) for quite some time. But as years went on, many people went back to the area of gilgo/jones beach where we watched the annual air show during the summertime and it became packed again--as if the murders never occurred. All of my classmates knew about the killer but he became somewhat of a forgotten boogeyman and a bit of a myth that the locals say to tourists who visit over the summer. Every time my family had friends or family visit us, we would drive around gilgo beach and talk about the long island serial killer and the bodies found there (just as a friendly, welcoming gesture). My mom was flabbergasted when they finally caught him and to be honest, i feel like most of long island thought he would never be caught

This! I was also a kid Long Island when this became public. I remember my mom especially being super on edge. Looking back on it, although she’s never been in that line of work, my older sister was in the age range of the victims at the time so that may have played a part in it. It’s crazy 13 years have already passed

Stephanie, can you please cover the case of Kendrick Johnson. He was a 17 year old black teen who was found dead rolled up in a gym mat in 2013. This happened in Valdosta, Georgia.
The general public believes it was covered up by the school due to 2 young suspects having ties to the people who run the school.
The FBI has closed the case and said there was zero foul play and it was a freak accident.
Please cover this case. This case is incredibly wild and it needs to be talked about.

I grew up only a few blocks away from the Heuerman house. I didn't know about the murders until I was older obviously, but around 2011-2014 I definitely felt a shift - my mom was always so nervous about me going to the bus stop for school, and I wasn't allowed to walk anywhere alone. Looking back, it's so scary to think that my bus stop was literally down the street from this monster's house. The day that he was arrested was insane too - the streets were lined with cars and people were everywhere. Almost everyone I know knows the Heuermans or has interacted with the dad. This whole situation has just been very surreal and disturbing.
All I got from this is you never really knew much about the situation or cared and it never really effected you nobody knew the killer was from that area so your mom not telling not to go out or whatever is basically 70% of all moms there was plenty of crazy people committing crimes you still never knew what can happen when you went out save the sympathy for the actual victims cause you aren’t one was no where near one unless you was a prostitute

i have pretty bad anxiety and experience awful night terrors due to trauma and i literally feel afraid to go to sleep every night. but listening to stephanie is somehow the only way i’m able to calm down enough to be able to fall asleep 😭
Same here, I put on the podcast version to fall asleep... And considering we obviously have similar based anxiety, it's funny how someone talking about awful crimes can calm us 😂 I always have a little chuckle to myself, like "why does THIS calm me 😂". I think it's mostly the person's voice because I can't just listen to any old random podcast/video.
You need a Netflix series girl, your very smart and understanding on how to figure out a crime and remembering that much information. R.I.P to all the innocent victims
I don't wish for her to do that tho. I've listened to interviews of creators in my country who were approached by Netflix and they have so many restrictions and interventions, so as a true creatove content creator you won't have the freedom to do what you want.

Hey Stephanie! I have always wanted someone to talk about a case concerning my country, Lebanon. The case of the Beirut explosion. Everyone just forgot about it and most people don't even know what happened and shrugged it off a few days after but our people never forgot and it's all the government's fault. The families of the many victims are still fighting for justice but nothing seems to happen.

I remember when they found Shannon’s body was found and there were so many conspiracy theories about her death especially about the doctor who said he was treating her. Everyone thought he was weird as heck and her family at the time really believed it was the doctor. Very strange man!

I’m a live in caregiver for an elderly woman in an elderly community, I don’t sleep well so I sit outside on the porch late at night and by the time played the part of the 911 call where she’s screaming and the elderly woman refused to let her in, I got SO SPOOKED! It’s like 3am here and the street lights aren’t working in front of my house or the neighbors house every since the power went out during the storm. Its so dark you can hardly see what’s directly in front of you, and all the sudden…. I start thinking I hear suspicious noises like someone is creeping around and I’m looking around frantically in every direction now. I start envisioning someone trying to get me, I run straight in but backwards because now I’m afraid to turn my back, lock the door, and flip on the porch light. 😂😂😂

You guys are so right! But, unfortunately I’m a smoker so I have to do it outside! I’m almost at the point of quitting but not quiet there yet and it’s hardest at night when you are awake and everyone else is sleeping. I went to high school with someone who ended up murdering his own mother a few years ago and then lighting the house on fire. I think it's still to this day the craziest thing I've ever heard. We were friends, he was a really nice guy. And I grew up in a really nice town with a super low crime rate. In fact, my hometown usually makes the top 10 lists for "Best Towns in America." Murders don't happen here.
Needless to say, everyone was SHOCKED. In this case, he was on serious drugs (the rumor is PCP) and had just been released from the mental hospital a few days before it happened. I don't think he even knew what he was doing. They tried him for First Degree Murder but because of the drugs and mental illness, he only got like 14 years. And I can only imagine now that he's sobered up that he's probably mentally in his own prison. We haven't spoken in 20 years, but from everything I know, he had a good relationship with his mother. He was living with her at the time. I think he may have been hallucinating and her death was a total accident. But he did stab her, which is especially brutal. I couldn't live with myself if I had done something like that.
But to find out that someone you know is a cold-blooded serial killer? I can't even imagine! I know with my former classmate, it didn't feel like real life. I watch a lot of true crime shows, but you never expect to know someone who could actually be the subject of one of these videos. That's crazy.
oh my god thats horrible! that reminds me of an older case of this young man who bluggeoned his mother to death..he was also having a pyschotic episode and was yet undiagnosed with schizophrenia..as soon he was medicated he was cognizant and coherent again. his grief and remorse was tremendous qnd palpable

@@Heyitschy03 Not really. He played hockey, but we didn't have a hockey program at school, so he was just part of a local league. Definitely no steroids, he wasn't that type. I guess with the history of hockey, you could argue TBI, but I doubt it. I think he only played for a year or two.
I'm sure it was the drugs. Apparently, he had a big problem with PCP. Scary stuff!
When I was 16 my best friend was living with her grandma for 2 month. Living in the house was also her grandma partner, her aunt, her aunt's husband and their baby. I went to visit a weekend. The husband drove us around. 1 week later, my friend came back home. Not even a month later, everyone in the house is dead except the aunt's husband and their baby who were missing... The dude stabbed everyone in the middle of the night and try to go back to his home country with his child. It's been over 10 years and it's still chilling to think I knew these people and me and my best friend could've been there that night...

I’m currently a junior in high school taking forensics class and we had a month long assignment where we had to cover a true crime case from a list our teacher created and I chose this one, I had no idea about the case prior and found it as a shock when I checked a few internet outlets to only find out it’s an ongoing case! I’ve been watching you for around 7 years now and I haven’t missed a single video, there really is no point in my comment but I enjoyed the few minor details about the case I’ve might’ve missed, too bad I had to present before the release of this video..

I was not from the area but it was crazy to hear body after body being discovered. Then the realization that there was an actual serial killer on the loose. Like in reality we know there are active serial killers all the time, but when you get confirmation is terrifying.

This case is just awful. I'm not a frequent true crime listener so this one really disturbed me. I hope all of the victims as well as the innocent man (the aquarium owner) who was suspected rest in peace.

I lived in Long Island during the 8 years when they found the bodies and when they started speculating about the culprits. I was always so sad about the victims, its so sad how so many people don’t care because of what people do for a living. Who cares, they are human and did not deserve this 😢. They are daughters, mothers, friends, sisters….

I grew up on LI and I remember watching the news with my mom about these victims being found. I remember being terrified to go to the beach and telling my mom I didn’t want to go to the beach anymore, a 15-20 min drive away from my house. I was only 8 or 9 at the time. It was terrifying hearing abt it.

I believe whole heartedly that Shannon’s disappearance that night was the catalyst for a serial killer being even known. The police LI department, as many others, even today have been so unfairly bias about sex workers. I’ve heard many officers state “well when you put yourself out there to so much danger, who should care” which made me absolutely gasp. These woman, a lot of them, and even more still, were listed as missing. Yet due to their professionswere dismissed. The ones who ran the LI police department were as shady as could be IMO, and I saw in news coverage and interviews the condescending way Shannon’s Mother and sisters were treated. Mari, however, Shannon’s Mother, would not let it deter her mission to find her daughter, and to give her the dignity everyone deserves. Thank you for covering these victims stories. Everyone deserves a voice, and hopefully someday, justice.

My mom told me about this case just few days earlier and I was shook. Serial killer aimed at most vulnerable group of people. They had no one to protect them.
I grew up on Long Island. I was still pretty young at the time of the murders so I don’t remember a ton, but even still I knew about it. *Everybody* knew about it. I remember one time my older sister got freaked out because she was watching some video about the worst killers around the world and she was relieved towards the end of the video because none of them were near us, only for the Long Island serial killer to be ranked as the worst serial killer in the world and still at large
My parents taught me and my sister to always stay in groups and what to do if we ever got in a bad situation. We weren’t super close to the area, we were on the north shore, but still put us on edge and also I have a lot of family on the south shore
I always heard podcasts of this case, and it baffled me how the two men at the beginning were not convicted… BUT THEY CAUGHT THE KILLER NOW!! I’m so glad these women are getting the justice they deserve. It’s sickening how long it went for. Thank you Stephanie for bringing these news.

I grew up and lived on Long Island at the time. When that happened my friend and I were freshman in college. And she needed photos for her photography degree. We had planned to do a photo shoot of me by the water. After the news broke out we brought a few of a guy friends because we were nervous to be two women by ourselves. I thought this case would never be solved thank goodness the families are getting the soon to be justice that they deserve!
Can you imagine being the woman who didn't open the door? How guilty she must feel even though she did nothing wrong? Breaks my heart. Rescue was so closed and still the poor girl had to die.
And I absolutely love how much time Stephanie gives the victims, makes us really feel for them, show how much they are missed. That's what I love especially on this channel.
I was in the sex industry for almost 20 years & your right , its such a gradual thing . I started with modelling , then kissograms then i met a partner who was wildly jealous of men in the pubs viewing my body during the grams & ' suggested ' escorts as it was much better money & only one client at a time getting to see my body & then the nightmare really began .
It's so hard to stop working once you start because the money's so good but selling the most intimate precious parts of yourself wrecks your mental health & self esteem & it's common to slide into drug usage as a means to cope with the work .
Before you know it your working solely for drugs , you need drugs to work , to numb your mind & need drugs afterwards to ' reward ' yourself & keep from thinking / feeling too much . For me it wasnt until i stopped that the gravity of it all really hit me.
It's such a sad way to live & I wish some people would stop judging these girls for what they end up having to do as a job & I encourage a bit of empathy / sympathy .
As a Scot can I just say that over here we call it the Daily Fail and cringe when creators reference it.

I know that it’s considered low bar journalism by some but that site is definitely prolific. In fact, I’ve see. Articles on there about my own home town in the states that I consider major news yet my own local news sources ignore even though it’s topical and local.

I remember this case, it was awful. All these poor girls. I find it difficult to comprehend that women are seen as very low in society for doing this work, yet to me it’s the men paying for their time with women that is gross

Drugs too, criminalizing these victimless "crimes" creates the black market, which in turn creates almost all of the harm.
Even the current fentanyl crisis, the thing that sparked and spurred on all these labs creating and sellin fentanyl, was people skirting drug laws. Nobody would have gone down this path, if they weren't gaming the system.
Just to be specific so it makes sense, China didnt have the same "designer drugs" laws, like the United States first created when ecstasy hit the scene in the 90s. The thought was, this drug shouldnt have to have a specific law created to ban it, when it is built in the skeleton of an already controlled substance (methamphetamine), we can and should (their logic, not mine) just preemptively ban all substances substantially similar to already illegal substances.
So, China didnt have these laws. Meaning someone could just ever so slightly tweak a fentanyl molecule, create something that technically isnt fentanyl, but has all the same effects, and it's legal... Make a couple kilograms of it and sell it, make ten million dollars real fast and easy
All these chemists seeing this path to make insane cash easy flooded the market with fent, which was so cheap that it displaced heroin in the market, and it's now poisoned the drug supply when it shouldnt be in it at all... And it was only ever put there, by people circumventing drugs laws.
Just one of a million ways the prohibition of drugs just creates more problems than it solves

She was brutally murdered at her school at the age of 13 years old and her alleged murderer was finally found not guilty and the case is open again. It’s been a lot of years and all of the country wants her true murderer/ murderers to be brought to justice. Hope you cover this case!

What bothers me the most is that some of these people have kids. It's sick and disgusting and I hope this horrible person knows that.
I can never imagine the mental and physical strain on these families having to wait for their love ones with the hope that one day they will walk through their doors or call them on the phone. I honestly can’t imagine how they felt because that killer made sure those victims never returned back to them. It’s terrifying and horrifying to even be living in the neighbourhood where these murders were occurring.

Hi Stephanie, I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I have a case suggestion.
Some days ago in Greece a man named Antonis Karyotis was literally pushed off the boarding ramp by a ferry the crew at the port Piraeus, right in front of hundreds of people. There are CCTV videos, videos taken from other passengers and tons of witnesses. The entire country is devastated, he was impaired too. He was so loved by his community, and his family is financially struggling now too. I really love your true crime videos, you are so compassionate yet your storytelling is so hypnotic :D have a nice day, thank you!!
I watched a creepier depiction of this case when it was recommended to me as a video and I was drawing… It really did sound terrifying as a result, and it hit even more when I later found out how _recently_ he’d been captured. Definitely a freaky one. 😬
I feel terribly for the victims-imagining living somewhere where such a killer could roam in people’s midst is…just really nerve-wracking.
Keep in mind she was located in New York… likely has to be more cautious.

I've been listening to different story tellers lately. You are one of the best, in the top 3 if not 1st or 2nd. Very knowledgeable, very caring in most cases. Personally I like 60 mins to a little less depending on the time I have to listen. Over 2 or 3 hrs I don't hit sometimes, unless I really want to know more about the story line. Keep up the great work.
