      crypto virtex you would want to do them slowly. Mainly because the slower you do them, and the longer you keep your muscles tensed, the more youll shred the muscle fibers in the areas that the pull up works. Once you rest a day or 2 you’ll notice a massive difference and soon you should be able to crank out more.

    Agreed. I also began to do pull ups as explosive as possible, so by bringing the bar to the chest, and now pull ups to the chin are, of course, way easier. For me it was the same with the push ups, months ago: I could do like 20 of them, but felt like I was struggling from the 15th rep. So, I started doing explosive push ups or archer push ups, and know I can reach pretty easily 30, so I guess my max is even more. Nice video!

    good video- but you do want to do some sets slow because it works the muscle in a different spectrum. if you rock climb or are even some self defense moves require an isometric tension.

    Good advice! I’ve been stuck at the 10-12 rep range for awhile but I will incorporate your tips into my next workout!
    Thank you!
    Edit: Just came back from the gym and incorporated doing full pull ups quicker and increased my rep by 1 for each of my 3 sets. 💪

      ShotoSean Nice dude. I was stuck at 12-14 pull ups for the longest time. I did a lot of regular pull ups trying to get out of that rut...the only thing that helped me get more is doing weighted pull ups. Trust me, do weighted pull ups!

    Climbing/bouldering is the funniest way to Work on pullups. I never really trained pullups but as a climber I can easily do more than 20 ones. So if you have a bouldering space around you I really suggest to check it and it s also a good way to train grip strenght and front lever

    I didn't understand why you are suggesting explosive pull-ups. I always thought of doing it slowly which would increase strength, and also break down muscles fibres making the back reach hypotrophy faster?
    What I have been recently doing is this, I do an explosive pull up and while I reset i.e come down I do it slowly and then again, is this better?

    • @lassenope5594

      You should geht clear about your Goals...
      When you wanna go for the max amount and Tell your Friends"yo mafagga i can do 30 pull ups" its smart to do them fast to reduce the time unser tension.
      If you wanna build muscle (hyperthrophy) and you dont Care about strength you should aim for 30-40 Seconds time under tension(8-12reps x 3,5 sec.) with a focus on the eccentric Part.

    You made great points on how we can increase the number of pull ups but the thing that I am not sure whether to do or not is explosive pull ups, because as far as I know pull ups is not helpful to build muscle and get a wider shoulder. Can you please explain this point to me? I might be wrong

    I can do 10 at most. After resting, i can do another 10. Is it better to do reps with 10 or reps with 5?

  • @Jazzmasterer
    @Jazzmasterer 5 лет назад +5

    I notice how a lot of your chest goes over the bar when at the top of your pull-up. I can only go up to about my collarbone. If possible, how do you increase your range of motion in that area?

    • @Vasyaliske
      @Vasyaliske 5 лет назад +2

      1. Your range of motion increases as you become stronger. For instance, I can do about 10-11 pull-ups now and the first 2-3 reps are higher than the following (about upper third of the sternum over the bar). All of them are chin over the bar though.
      2. You do pull-ups more explosively. By doing them that way you can "toss" yourself higher and perform controlled negative. Then you naturally become stronger at the top position and can pull up that high easier.
      3. If nothing of the above works you can also try static holds at the top of the pull up after normal pull up session.

    How do you train traps? They blew up recently. Rack pulls? Deadlifts? Calisthenic movements are not generally focused heavily on that plane of motion, from the floor up.

    I huge help for getting out of a platou is doing a hundreds of reps of the easier version for example: stuck on 6 handstand pushups? Add 25 pushups.
    Stuck on 10 pullups?
    Add 30 Australian pullups.
    Each time you do this you'll gain a couple more reps, in handstand pushups i went from 6 to 8 and in pullups i went from 10 to 12 which was amazing.
