My Worst Haircut and How I Fixed It

  • I had my hair cut again recently. Unfortunately it was just bad in so many ways so I thought let me grab the clippers and attempt to fix it myself. It is much better than it was, though I think it was hard to get across just how jagged and uneven the cuts were to begin with.
I'm definitely going to look into how to cut my hair and tweak it as it grows out as it's far from perfect but I am much happier with it now than I was
    Affiliate links below
The clippers I used are linked here:
    Wahl Colour Pro Cordless
    amzn.to/3ZMBF4g
This was such a random purchase but the coloured guards and chart on the clippers made it so much easier for me to get a grip on what I was using and now I know which ones to go straight to in the future
    The hair dye here:
Garnier Good shade 5.0 Coffee Roast Brown
    bit.ly/3PN35SX
(I have worked with Garnier before on this hair dye but this isn't sponsored. I bought the hair dye to re do the colour as I really liked how it turned out when using it before)

I’m so sorry you experienced this. It’s awful, the things we have to deal with just trying to get our natural hair cut. For what it’s worth, your at home cut turned out beautiful!

You did great and it looks amazing. Pat yourself on the back! Great job😊

Last year after going to a salon for the first time after many years to get my tapered cut freshened up (usually done by my husband who did a great job but wanted a break) I went back home looking like a Dutch male football player from the ‘80s 😭. I am still contemplating to cut all off again… I love how you fixed your cut. You are beautiful.

It's truly wild that you looked stunning both before and after the trim! Sorry about the bad haircut experience!

  • @Leviiify

You definitely made it look good! You are gorgeous!

You did a good job! Sorry about your salon experience.

Im rly sorry that happend to you. Salons for textured hair can be rough. If you dont already know of Chop Chop in london, they seem pretty good.

I think barber shops are better for this despite being a mostly male establishment. But they’re experts at shorter lengths, sorry thats all i can recommend.

Go down (with the grain) to trim, go up (against the grain) to completely remove the hair from the section.

What terrible service and reaction from that salon. Hope you're not going back there again
