I think last Hindu king who ruled Delhi was "Hemu" aka hemchandra vikramaditya who was Wazir of Sher Shah Suri , got defeated by Akbar in second battle of panipat

Rajat tokas already set a higher level for prithvi raj chauhan character and it's very same for Bollywood who choose akshay kumar for his school level drama acting for such a legendary character, even they should not match the level of old star plus drama 🙏 there only motive in life is money

When you say that Samrat Prithviraj was the last Hindu king/warrior, then you are disrespecting much more successful Hindu kings who lived and ruled even when there were Mughals at the peak of their powers....Read about Raja Krishnadeva Raya, Chhatrapati Shivaji and you'll find that they were very prominent and triumphant...But this "Last Hindu King" statement is factually wrong and it shows the ignorance of Bollywood towards South...

Actually there are multiple accounts that convey different information about the Hindu rulers' history of India as most of the books and other conclusive material was either destroyed or burnt in the attacks by islamic and british invaders. This movie is an adaptation of one such perception.

In my childhood, I saw this role being played by Shahbaz Khan in a show called Main Dilli Hoon. It was way better than Canada 'Desh ki mitti' Kumar's performance.

Being from Bhatt Brahmin family.. I really oppose and criticise the word 'Bhatve' pronounced by Sanjay Dutt's character. In those days Brahmins were marked as the superior community more than the fighter or ruler community, out of those Bhatt were most decorated and well versed community. Few names are Varahmihir, arya bhatt, Tansen, Birbal, Chandbardai, Baan Bhatt etc.

Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan was definitely not the last king of Delhi. It was actually King Hemu who was acting as the general of Adil Shah Suri and lost the seat to Akbar in Battle of Panipat.
Really disappointed with akshay kumar that how he is now just spamming films bcoz he got to top of bollywood in 2018-19 and it irritates more when he literally mock ppl for doing one film in a year. Atleast take some time like before and give a movie that has your 100%

I think, some movies like this - Samrat Prithviraj should not be judged, EVEN ON THE ARTISTIC BASIS, because they are not JUST art, IT IS ACTUALLY HISTORY. Yes, that Bhatwe sound weird to me too, and yes, I agree to all those details and mistakes that Shubham sir sorted out. But still.. people need to know about our great freedom fighters, and yes.. THROUGH MOVIES.. because, people likes to see movies more than they read books. Maybe adults and even some kids read a lot of books, but movies.. MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD WATCH MOVIES. So, yes.. Definitely there are mistakes in the movie, but still.. the story telling, maybe it could be more heart touching and detailed, but still.. whatever they've shown is NOT WRONG. It is an actual history. Somebody DIED for us. So, let's not judge the movie on its artistic aspects and give our freedom fighters, our Martyrs a tribute. Let's just watch the movie for our knowledge.
Talking about what they've taught in the schools, So yes, they taught us about Prithviraj Chauhan and his wife and all that incident, but still.. It's not detailed in our course books. And second thing, in our course books, Mughals who invaded our country, are mentioned a lott more than our actual freedom fighters. There is a very little mention about Maharana Pratap, Rani Lakshmibai and many other freedom fighters too.
