Damn, that must have took a lot of patience to hold the shutter down for 3 whole hours. Proud of you, man.
I hope this story ends with you discovering that "Peach Crown Royal ATV Guy" found the treasure. And that you cross paths again to shoot a photo series on his rise as a stand up comedian, using only Lomo 800.
Grainy: "I've been thinking alot lately about how I'm gonna die"
Me: me too grainy, me too
Came for the film, stayed for jason's drinking experiences
haha, this probably the most honest and direct analogue film channel ever created and the humour is impeccable. Keep it coming!
If I go to heaven, there better be film photography there
This is it
There’s film photography in heaven and hell but in heaven they have corner stores with 1 hour developing while hell is the modern 2 week wait time (╹◡╹)
In hell you are only allowed do shoot that weird beer can camera
@@woczykij3884 Lmao xD
This video is a roller coaster from start to finish. First, film; then a beautiful long exposure shot, and then out of left field a campsite in the heart of darkness with a stranger that may have found buried treasure, it's wild.
my gawd his dry humor is so perfect lmao
Willem book in da back 😳
I thought I was the only one who notice oatmeal Bois book
The DMT gnomes must have told that guy where the treasure was
WHY IS THIS CHANNEL SO CHILL AND LAYED BACK AND MAKING ME LESS ANXIOUS AND SCARED ABOUT THE REAL LIFE. HOLY FUCK.
"And other film stocks that some may consider to be... experimental" Was that a Star Wars reference lol?
oh good i wasnt the only one who noticed ahaha
Enlighten me please, I am a young padawan
@@AeromaticXD UNNATURAL
i dont get it
It's what Palpatine says to Anakin in the third movie
You should go back to that same campsite this time next year and see if drunk ATV guy shows up in a solid gold ATV. Then you'll know.
And knowing is half the battle.
The star trails shot is absolutely amazing.
The Tom Cruise cameo at 2:35 is awesome. Best collab yet
Man, all your vids about the California Wilderness make me want to visit just that much more. I'm in NC and while we do have our share of beautiful vistas, there's no desert out here and thats something I'd love to see.....
Try living in Florida. No deserts. No mountains. No hills. No rocks. Just trees. Every. Where. I don’t even know what a horizon looks like.
As a fellow North Carolinian I am with you; the desert has a certain appeal.
I was watching Peter McKinnon's video about the new Canon camera, and this video poped up. I quickly paused that one and watched this one instead:)
Peter is a bit overrated.
I agree though, in some level. So much slow mo and not much story on his videos.
@@peskymacaw9033 not bad, but average
Before the Kodak price increase Lomo 800 was $20/3 rolls and a legitimate steal compared to Portra 800. As you’ve stated now the price difference isn’t that huge and Portra 800 is more readily available. I personally wasn’t a fan of how saturated Lomo 800 was when I shot it, but I only shot it in 35mm.
God the glory days
1 minute into the video and already subscribed, the humor resonates with me. Can’t wait to watch more of your recent videos. I’ve been studying analogue 6 months now and just came across your channel- I couldn’t be happier.
I came for the Lomo 800, the campout, the photos, Jason chugging the beer.
I stumbled upon your channel and I gotta say your photos are amazing I absolutely love the photos I would have never thought film would and look so great
Like, the only photography youtuber who probably spends more time writing the script, than filming and editing the video.
Just saw three vids of yours in a row. New subscriber for sure
The film community needs Grainydays reviews. Now that you've set a new standard and level of expectation, you better not quit any time soon 😁
Know zero about photography, I come here to admire your work. So relaxing to watch this after work.
That 3hr exposure is BEAUTIFUL!
I love the winding road shot. I’d hang that in my home. Great job as always. Love your humor
Love watching your videos when I'm high. Such a chill vibe.
Hang on...DON’T chug whiskey straight from the bottle?? Oh man...
Thank you for showing the tires being aired back up. I don't know why, but I needed that.
Finally some good content
Dude, best film photography channel, laughing my ass out! keep up the great work "and keep on rollin', you what time is it..."
I fav'd this for the story lol. Was curious about lomo 800, happy surprise to find I liked the video for more than the dope shots.
Lomo 800 is great value and performs pretty well, keep up the quality content m8!
AMazing shots dude. Love the star trails so much. I have this film on backorder waiting to come in... but ya know... just got to wait forever haha.
I enjoyed the trip and the photographies. Thank you :)
Quite a Prius Matt has got there.
Always ready for my dose of film photography, sarcasm and bad humor. Never change.
This is one of the greatest videos to ever grace the internet
This video is brilliant from start to finish
That 3-hour shot 🤯
Thanks for the upload, I need this today.
Your photos are sublime.
your wit is on another level man haha great stuff
Yauuuuu My boy Jason made another fire videooo
Big hug from Portugal my man
love that u used a flatbed scanner. You get so much better results and process than dslr scanning
That star trail pic turned out fricken amazing
Where is this campsite or what's it called if you don't mind sharing. Great video, love the shots from this trip!
The color in those desert shots is gorgeous. No wonder this is such a popular film. Smaller operations simply repackage existing films, but Lomography is big enough these days to actually get Kodak to make a film from a recipe they don't have in normal production, so it is futile trying to figure out what it is. We know that Kodak does the manufacturing, but beyond that, we know nothing. Whatever it is, it is a film well worth using.
En Europe there's a big price difference. Portra in 35mm costs 14USD vs 7 USD for Lomo 800, and 14 USD and 7 USD for 120 respectively. Also consider that Lomo went up around 25% in price this year.
Every time I think of Lomography shitty pictures come to mind!!! And you have definitely not changed my thoughts..
Love that Pentax! Here's a video idea, not that you need my ideas but the music you use is super meditative and I wish you had a mix that lasted a few hours and maybe set to some video and photos from your work.
bruh the first photo with the star trails straight up looks like a painting
Nice photos! (Also I see that Willem Zine in the background!!)
The dry humor makes these. So damn funny
Return of The King
my fav RUclipsr ever
damn this video makes me miss lomo color 400 so much, I completely missed trying out lomo 800 and now both films are sold out everywhere. Not a huge fan of the other lomography films but these both are quite cool
Amazing landscapes
These photos are so good, I've gotta get out to California some time
That long exposure looked sick.
This made my day, thank you.
This video is a fucking classic in your catalog my guy.
Lomo 800 is one of my favorite film stocks. It makes reds really pop & saturated.
I bought this stock and shot with it but haven’t developed it yet. Definitely excited to
Awesome!
Lomo film used to be affordable and the cheaper awesome alternative to Kodak films. Now they are charging just as much as New film. I’ll stick to Portra.
Not sure where you are shopping, but one roll of Portra 800 is around $12.99 and 3 rolls of Lomo 800 is $25. You do the math.
that parallax effect at the end card though?! props
it's 100% the same Kodak use in the funsaver disposables, master reel just purchased by lomo
I only watch you because of your poetic nature 🥰
Just discovered your channel, really cool ;).
i came here to learn not to laugh @ that HUMOR! LOL
Jason lookin like a greek god on that hotspring.. we all can never.. hed probably post thirstraps by the end of quarantine
Masterpiece!
thanks for the video, like your channel.... its the reason for me to start again with film fotography.
The big question is WHEN you’re gonna die. Thanks for all the film images and American scenery.
The off-roading gave me some Nick Carver vibes
Excellent video might have to go get some lomo and convert it to slides😂❤️
You give off such strong vegan vibes. It’s amazing.
Geez 2:32, thats that scene from NoCountryForOldMen where everybody dies ahahah, G O L D R E F
I shot film in the good old pre digital days now I’m back into film the intervening 17 years were good I mean come on instant results no toxic darkrooms no editors screaming at you for photographs etc but hell now I’m back into film it’s like the return of an old best mate. I shot a roll of lomo 800 last month wasn’t sure what to expect but wow I loved it made some nice shots in mainly flat early light. The vid from this shoot is in my wee chan if anyone fancies a nosey. Great vid mate tidy images a camp fire and a dodgy possibly newly rich guest 😆📷❤️
Peak that large format up on the shelves 👀
he used the treasure to buy that ATV. Great video, homie.
Getting his kit off and parading about in the pool? Jason knows what he’s doing.
Thanks zaddy
Very cool trip and photos regardless of the film stock.
I'm not even a film photographer. I just come here for the dry humor.
I went to a bigfoot museum in Georgia recently. kinda lit.
'Water flavour...6/10' 🤣
That look at 3:12 is scary! Kudos to you both.
God damn I love these videos
Puffer jacket and shorts... very stylish
Ur the best. Seriously
good video, gonna have to look into this
Ayyye repping stl 🤘
Not sure if this had been said yet and I know its and old video. But somehow you were on the Canadian Lomography site. It's actually $25.90 for a 3 pack. Which is a huge difference!!
It’s the first time i heard about that treasure hunt shit and it sounds so interesting
you deserve more followers!!!
Nice Prius!
Stay safe bro. I love you.. Wait.
