Yes no maybe, I don't know...can you repeat the question 🎶
Let me know if you enjoyed this style of video, hit like and comment your fav band 👇
I like this style of video. And my favourite band has got to be Queens of the Stone Age
You’re not the boss of me nowwww🎶
Blink 182 I got tickets to there show instead because I don’t really like Green Day that much anymore!
Linkin Park will always be my #1
Angels & Airwaves
Jon, you're the only person who can shave your facial hair and you won't look weird afterwards
😇🤣
Jon why did you shave? Lol
I often wondered if after over five years, Green Day can still be seen as my favourite band, even though I've listened most of their songs to death. But now I see them more as my personal rabbit hole to dive into and artistic Inspiration. There's no other band where I can say that I've listened to everything, and I mean EVERYTHING in their catalog...
Right?! We’ve been in the trenches every b-side, compilation, live album etc 😭
Have you both been down the Network rabbit hole? As far as i see, the first network album called money money 2020 is a reference to them getting out the deal with Warner bros, that sort of explains father of all being a screw you album and then they dropped another network album in 2020 perfectly completing the narrative of the Network and the deal with Warner Bros, I might be crazy but it all falls into place perfectly, would be one hell of a coincidence
I’m going through their discography through for the 1st time for the past few weeks and I’m enjoying myself a TON
I wish I could listen to them for the first time again
I’ve often thought I wouldn’t mind having short term amnesia…because I’d get to hear bands like Green Day again for the first time
bruhhh i wish i could listen through their discography for the first time again 😭
I would check back a few more times. I’m going to the STL show and when I first checked, the seats I bought were $122 originally and I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Checked back last night and they were $67? Ticketmaster is wild. Needless to say I have actual seats instead of lawn now.
Green Day alongside Blink-182 have been such a big part of my life and a huge inspiration musically, they’re such an amazing cool band and even when they’ll make a song or album that doesn’t quite live upto the standard they can reach, they always bounce back and their music is always so cool
for me it's my chemical romance. i think i'm falling in love with them more and more. i've only been a fan since summer 2022, but i've already discovered a bunch of information about them, i've watched almost all concerts of the reunion tour on insta live and i can't imagine 2022 and 2023 without them. because of mcr i've started listening to music again, even though before that i was just starring at the ceiling not knowing what to do with my life. now i'm feeling a little bit better. and i've started drawing again.
btw, your videos are one of the reasons why i discovered this band. thank you, jon! your taste in music is amazing and your recommendations are always very good.
you know, it often happens that you know an artist or a band, but for some reason you don't go to their discography.. and one day you suddenly find something that's perfect. and you regret that you haven't listened to it earlier
i really hope that we'll get at least one album from them. this band is everything to me.
i'm also a big fan of linkin park, nirvana... and harry styles.
and recently found out about spiritbox because of you. i just LOVE finding new interesting staff
@@itsMe..- cool 😄🥹
I feel this but with All Time Low. Discovered them in 2015, watched all the live concert recordings on RUclips, dvd documentaries, interviews, read tons of online discussions on forums, and they and their music was there for me throughout the good and bad times.
They still mean the world to me and while they’ve had their ups and downs (LYR *cough*) they’re still my favorite all these years later and definitely my go to for many feelings/moments
I think the ticket prices are actually an US only problem. We in europe have some laws that basically ,,guarantee“ a normal price (normal ticktets, resale can be high as fck). Golden circle/Front of stage for the Hamburg and Berlin shows were ,,only“ about 100€.
It’s definitely a USA thing 😩
I echo this statement
Green Day too have been my favorite band for as long as I can remember and American Idiot is my favorite album of all time. I still love them despite the many low points they've hit in the past and not also not being as high on these new Saviors songs as I would want to be because when Green Day is good, they are GREAT and they hold a very special place in my soul.
In terms of the ticket prices, yea it is objectively ridiculous and obscene how expensive they are. I spent an embarrassing amount on two tickets to be in the pit for the NYC show and my justification for it was that even though I've seen them live multiple times, I've never seen them in the pit and I want so badly to mosh to these songs I love so much just once in my life, after that I can officially cross that off my bucket list.
I genuinely hope the new album is good
Green Day are still among my Top 5 in spite of their misfires.
As for my #1 band though, I don't think I ever want it to change. The Beatles have had a special place in my heart since I was introduced to them as a little kid (and I come from a generation far past their heyday, so that's really saying something), and they're the quintessential band whose music puts me in a good mood no matter what (or at least most of the time).
Dookie and American Idiot are Lightning in A Bottle albums for punk rock. Regardless of the Luls (and the Ticket Luls) they may have had, they don’t need to prove anything else as a legendary band.
I’ll also add Insomniac, Nimrod, and the underrated Warning. They had an album run like no other band of their time.
Personally, I'd define my favourite bands as the bands that influenced me the most, that I turn to at bad times in life and those who emotionally touch me the deepest. For me, that would be Silverstein, Rise Against, Placebo, Rammstein and most recently Movements.
I’ve been getting more into Placebo the past few years 🙌
All Time Favourite Band vs. Favourite Band At The Moment are two deferent categories.
the tickets in austin are also insane… the general admission tickets are 500-700. it’s pretty wild and disappointing.
Green Day has been my favourite band since 2005. I'm just hoping that the new album is a banger of a comeback and they change up their live show a bit
2005 for me getting into them too 🙌
@@beyondartv Bullet In A Bible baby! 🤘
I think the shows are gonna be good. I wish they’d be like their shows when they were younger, totally unhinged, wild, and lively. I miss that Green Day but you know, I’m seeing them live next year so I hope they do something good.
Twenty One Pilots were that band that were a gateway for so much other music for me, and while Linkin Park is right behind them, they've been my favorite artist since 2016. I think that artists that I've grown to enjoy the most in the last few years are System of a Down, Paramore, Tame Impala, The Weeknd, and Lorde.
My favorite band was My Chemical Romance for over a decade. I never, ever thought that they could be dethroned, but Sleep Token has taken over my number one spot.
My favorite band has been *Pearl Jam* ever since I was 5, in 1992 (yes, I am old).
They’ve been #1 that entire time, although *Radiohead* and *The Strokes* are very close at 2 and 3.
I also love *Green Day*, but they have been starting to scare me into thinking they’ll never release a great or even really good album again, especially after Father of All…
I hope I’m wrong, though 🙏
You’re old? I remember the Sgt. Pepper movie! So, who’s old? 😆
foo fighters are my favorite band. They have been my favorite “All My Life” (get it?). Anyways couples years back when I was 8 I got to meet them backstage and got to talk to Dave and Taylor for a long time and during encore Dave said to 10,000 people “I bet this kid will be up in this stage in 10 years” and then dedicated big me to me. Dave and Taylor inspired me to drum since and I was so heartbroken by Taylor’s passing. I love everything foo’s release with BHWA being my second favorite album they have released, and wasting light is my second favorite album of all time(Meteora by Linkin park is #1). Anyways thanks for reading.
The Green Day playlist on my channel speaks for itself.
These ticket prices are asinine. I got MCR tickets for $120 (that's for two people) and were weren't even in the high up seats. I did get them in 2020 so idk if that changes it, but still, significantly less than Green Day's.
Green Day are also my favourite, have been for 18 years, I've seen them every time they've been to Ireland since 2009, have 4 Green Day tattoos, they have been my *boys* forever. I'm kinda in the same boat as you, I don't listen to them much anymore, but I cannot deny how their music still makes me feel when I do sit down to listen to it; Still Breathing came on shuffle literally last night and I burst into tears. The feelings their music gives me hasn't changed in all these years, I honestly don't think anyone could ever overtake them, but who knows!
also i cannot believe how expensive concerts are in the states??? i bought savior tickets this morning and for 4 tickets it was just under €300 (still ridiculous but omg you poor americans)
Oh my god fancy seeing you here
Green Day were definitely a band that helped influence my music taste now, I honestly might try getting back into them and listening more to their 90s stuff. Even though they don't have loads of albums, Boston Manor gotta be my favourite band, I love them so dearly (your videos also helped me discover them so thank you!)
Green Day is my second favorite band ever. They only barely get beaten out by Blink-182, and that's only because I love the dynamic between Mark and Tom so much. They made me laugh so much as a teenager through interviews, behind the scenes videos, banter between songs on stage, but I often find myself wondering if they'll always be my favorite band. When I was a teen, the humor and lyrics hit so hard, because it felt exactly like how my friends and I acted. Now that I'm 29, it feels like it's nostalgia still keeping them in that spot. They really captured that feeling of being young, stupid and carefree, but I know that won't always resonate with me or be relatable, and that makes me sad
Green Day have been my favorite band since middle school. They overtook Gorillaz.
I’m 23 now, and I don’t see that changing. Yeah Trilogy and FOA are underwhelming, but that doesn’t undo the amazing times I’ve had with this band.
They’re a big source of comfort for me and they make me feel safe.
A nice video to watch! I also like the new singles, LMNB is a great single that reminds me of their older work. I’d love to see them live in London but we also recently got a mortgage and the prices are crazy! Shame they’re only doing massive stadium tours and not slightly smaller venues in more locations, oh well!
Holy crap, you look so young without a beard.
I haven’t listened to the newest Green Day single but I was pleasantly surprised by the other most recent one. I hope this is a return to form.
I feel the concert ticket woes. My friend and I wanted to see Offspring last year and it was $100 CDN for general admission at the friggin’ casino. I just couldn’t justify it. (We’re going to see a killer Canadian band called the Beaches tomorrow night and it was only $40. So much more reasonable.) I mean, I wish I could see Offspring but… no.
I’m ride or die for Arkells. I saw them open for the Tragically Hip ages ago and that was it. I was sold. It’s probably between them or Foo Fighters for my favourite. Just really good, solid rock.
Hello, it's your favorite Switchfoot fan follower. I understand the frustration of having your favorite band not live up to the hype and feel like they were going down a road that you were unsure you wanted to follow. A lot of fans of Switchfoot struggled with Fading West. While I see why people did, I still enjoy that album and enjoy the pop summer beach sounds. Where the Light Shines Through is when things got rough for me. The first year after its release, I pushed myself to like the album. It has it's good moments but it's all in the first half and then it takes a dive on the second for me. But every. band is bound to run into an album that you don't like (WTLST ranks as my 2nd least favorite from them.) Then the band goes on hiatus and comes back shortly after with Native Tongue. While I like that album a little more for experimenting and challenging the idea of what Switchfoot sounds like, the album still falls short. The good songs are really different for the band but the rest felt like experimenting in a safe way. It was this moment where I questioned if the band was going a direction that I wanted to follow them anymore with. They were seeing some record high numbers on listening platforms and they sounded more CCM than ever before. I had to swallow the hard pill that maybe the band wasn't for me anymore. Then after quarantine, they came out with Interrobang and this album blew me away. It's my 3rd favorite from them. This one album reminded me how much I loved the band. It gave me hope that they weren't going to conform and that they were gonna make music only they could. Then comes the re-release of the beautiful letdown and really living with those songs again has confirmed why this is my favorite band. Their songs are the ones that have molded me and have gotten me through tough times. I can't wait to hear what they make next.
For green day, as someone who enjoys them and they've always hovered in my low top 10 or just outside, I can say that the new singles are good and that I think it'll be a solid album. Something of the likes of Warning. Nothing ground breaking but you'll look back on it and be like, actually that was a pretty solid album.
Also I would love a video on bands that could take your top spot or bands that have a strong promising future that you wanna see where they'll be 3 albums later.
Green Day radio is currently on Siriusxm channel 107
Love it
I just got tickets today for their show at Wrigley Field. I realized I misinterpreted the email and that the pre-sale actually started yesterday. I got tickets for section 222-not too bad but not where I would’ve bought seats had closer ones been available. The tickets were $99 a piece (before taxes and fees). I loved Green Day and the Smashing Pumpkins as a teenager. I’m excited!
I get that they’re a big band but these are sellout prices, could go to 8 metal shows before seeing Green Day and I’ll choose that every time. I’ll go to a festival and see them for the same price as a pit ticket
You're from NC, that's fucking cool, i'm from South Carolina 🤘
Nothing But Thieves have become one of my favourite bands as of recent
Honestly, I still love Green Day in spite of the fact that I haven't really loved any of their works since 21st Century Breakdown, and even though American Idiot is probably better, 21st Century Breakdown is such a time capsule for me that it's almost one I prefer reaching for now, though it's very close. Also, at the risk of sounding stupid, what's the vinyl in the background?
I’m on a very similar page as you, although I really do enjoy Rev Rad. Vinyl is “Desire” by Caroline Polachek
@@beyondartv Thanks Jon!
I was able to get 2 front standing tickets here in the UK for £160. I feel blessed! (They do come here rarely thought so...)
Nirvana has been my favorite band for the past 4 years now and I dont really see that changing in the near future, even though there are bands who have music that I enjoy more. It is simply just the way that Nirvana makes me feel and the impact they have had on me. See, i discovered them in the middle of quarantine and their music eventually became what kept me going as the world around me dealt with all the unknowns. Upon hearing them, all of the rock bands just fell right into my lap and I just completely fell in love with the genre all thanks to them. I don't think that is ever a feeling that I could forget about and boy, what I wouldnt give to be able to go back and hear In Utero for the first time again.
I got the VIP guided tour experience for London!!! I am unprepared to say how much I spent but I’m sure it will be worth it!!!
Okay Jon, to be fair their tickets have been the most reasonable ticket prices I’ve seen all year (To be fair, the only other artists I’ve attempted for are Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo, where the cheapest ones were $650). I got my tickets for Pittsburgh for $35
I'll be in the lawn in Charlotte! If you end up going I hope to see you there!
Whenever anyone asks "what's a fast food restaurant that people love but you don't get the hype?" I always answer Green Day. I also answer Green Day for things I either don't know or am too lazy to think of the answer to. I have a thing called echolalia and it's a part of the spectrum.
I think Green Day lives on the same way Star Wars does. Regardless of what you think of certain things they release, there's always one album or movie that cemented the love and a handful that hooked you in. In Green Day's case, I'd say many people either grew up with them or discovered them at a key time in their life (generally teens) where their songs really resonated while also being the gateway to either their influences, Gilman Street or the bands they influenced. Eg I'm a fan of many bands from the 2000s as well as liking songs by 80s/90s Gilman Street bands and classic punk songs but all three were a result of me getting into Green Day first. I think Green Day will always have a head start through personal impact while many other bands have to prove themselves purely through quality.
It will be so underwhelming if we get a very predictable set list again. I swear every time it’s the same batch of songs, I wanna see homecoming whatsername and platypus but that will probably never happen lol
My chemical romance is my favorite band🤘🤘🤘
I got tickets for one of the west coast shows. Close to the stage, first level, 4 rows back. Ended up being about $150 each with fees. The package prices were similar to what you were looking at.
I managed to get three Pit tickets for the San Francisco show for only 211 each, I thought that was somewhat reasonable, I was preparing for 300 and was pleasantly surprised. It'll be my first time seeing them up close so I'm super stoked. I didn't think I'd end up getting pit tickets, they sold so quickly. My mom let me skip school to buy em lmao.

My top 100 bands of all-time list have changed a lot. Green Day is still number 2 on my list. My top 3 has never changed and it never will. I have not realized until now about how many of these bands I have seen live making me change my mind on the way I rank them. Never thought I put Depeche Mode over bands like Dokken, Megadeth, Van Halen, or Led Zeppelin, but they were awesome live. Not only that but taking a look at their catalog was a lot of fun and I had a great experience. As much as I love guitar driven music, Depeche Mode's dark side was interesting. Seeing Bad Religion live was another great experience. They're pretty much the Judas Priest of punk rock. Their albums from the 80s and 90s are fantastic. Even the 2000s was great as well. They have over 15 albums with a bunch of great songs. The Kinks now entered in to the top 10 now due to having over 20 albums, which contain a bunch of awesome songs. The 60s material is obviously the best era, but the early and mid70s-early 80s have a ton of great material as well. The Broadway era is mixed in my opinion, but the arena rock era albums are great. The Rolling Stones have a great legacy as well. The 60s-70s are the best 2 eras for them. From 1986 til 1997 they were the struggling years for me, but their last 3 albums are great. I lowered down Slayer 5 spots, from 42 to 47, although I still love them to death! Put Cannibal Corpse at 42. The best death metal band, only behind death and one of the heaviest bands of all time! Kicking Queen out the top 40 is such a pain since Freddie Mercury is considered to the be the greatest frontman of all time. Instead, All Time Low took the last spot on the top 40. Seeing them live and checking up their catalog, they have a bunch of great songs and are up there as one of my favorite pop punk bands of all time! Didn't expect to change up my list, but wow! I still love some of the bands I put down below. They definitely made a surprise for sure!
My favourites are Arctic Monkeys,Beatles and Oasis. I love AM and Beatles but Oasis where there for me at 14,15,16 saving my life and opening my eyes. Both don’t have perfect discographies while Beatles debatably do. However if push came to shove definitely maybe is my favourite album ever then revolver then humbug.
Yeah I remember my Green Day tickets from the pit back in 2017 was super expensive too. I believe they were like $450 as well. I seen them in Raleigh, NC. They do seem expensive but also I believe venues take a part of the cut for ticket prices too.
That’s absolutely mad! I paid £120 for front standing at Wembley and £85 for unreserved standing at Manchester, both in the U.K. 😳
One Ok Rock is my all time favourite. They were the only band that could dethrone Green Day for me. Up until 2017 Green Day was #1. There is rock music before listening to One Ok Rock and the person you become after that. One ok Rock is the rabbit hole that changed me forever.

I'm hoping to get Green Day tickets for the September 4 Detroit show tomorrow. I love Green Day, yet I have not seen them live! Wish me luck!
I just saw Depeche Mode live! They're still as good as they were 30 years ago! Dave Gahan was dancing and moving. His voice has improved well. Martin Gore even sang as well! Definitely a band you have to see live!
Yes, I gotta see DM!
My favorite Band is Sunny Day Real Estate since I really got into music, yet I see myself listening to their music less and less. But while that is the case, whenever I do come back, it's the greatest emotional experience ever for me.
I bought my ticket for the Manchester show in the UK today. I love green day, but it bugs me that standing is split so that if you want to be at the front, you have to pay extra. I don’t know if this was the bands choice, or someone else’s. But it still bugs me
My favorite band is brand new thanks to you Jon
I feel you. My fav band is TØP and they aren't at their best right now in terms of the quality of their music. Same with other top bands for me like Coldplay with Music of the Spheres or Green Day, too, which, though they still have plenty of previous music that I still love, the fact that they aren't at their best at the moment also kinda leaves the door open for other bands to possibly top them.
That also includes bands like Linkin Park or Oasis that don't make music anymore but still left us not in good terms musically.
There are groups that I wouldn't put in my top 5 or even 10 but the fact that they're still making great music now makes me wanna keep them around and appreciate them in many ways. Like Foo Fighters and Sum 41 that were always up there for me or Paramore and The 1975 who will probably be all over my Spotify wrapped this year.
And I know lots of the groups that aren't at thier best righr now are still killer live, but having that last great project really gives them a big boost for me. I was a casual Strokes fan who randomly decided to listen to The New Abnormal when it came out and, despite them not giving us music in a while, I'm falling more in love with them each day cause it was that good. Even with a band like Bring Me, who could still f-up with the new lp, they took over my Spotify last year after giving PHSH a chance.
The only top top ones that I could say maybe do still hold up are RHCP or Blink, tho I didn't listen to their last albums despite liking what I've heard.
But even newer acts like boygenious, The Warning, Wet Leg or Pacifica, or Olivia and Billie for pop, nowhere near my top, but still feel like a breath of fresh air and keep my hopes up for the future of its genres and music in general
I knew the prices were out of this world but this blows my brain... I just paid 84€ to be in the pit for their upcoming Paris show and thought it was a bit expensive
I'm at a point/age in my life where i've gone to so many concerts and have seen my favorite bands multiple times that I've become more excited about hearing new music than I am about seeing them live again. Plus, those ticket prices are stuuuuuupid. Don't forget to add on the $50 t-shirt, $12 beer, and $10 hotdog.
I’m not sure if I can ever give a #1 spot for fav band of all time. Green Day are in a list of bands I have in the “top tier” alongside The Who and Led Zeppelin, whose music influenced me to start playing drums in my teen years, and also other alt rock/pop punk bands like blink-182, Sum 41, Fall Out Boy and Paramore.
Before becoming a pop punker I was very much into jam band music, and I’m slowly getting back into that once again after watching the livestreams of the final Dead & Co. shows and also reuniting with an old band of mine that played jam band music for one evening recently.
With an ever-evolving music taste and some bands coming and going I don’t think I can put a #1 on any one of them but there are certain bands I have in my top tier that have had a huge impact on me - Green Day being one of them for sure since I like or else love most of their albums and they did absolutely fantastic performing live at Hella Mega to top it off 👏
Dude same they've been my favorite for just as long and at the same age. I got into them because I was being a simp for a crush lmao. Will forever be grateful for that. Got tickets in Denver on the floor for $200 each which is steep but not horrible from what I'm seeing here and elsewhere
Seeing them in San Francisco, got lower level seats for around $150. Crazy how Charlotte is so expensive.
Definitely in the same situation as you, Jon. Green Day is still one of my favorite bands, but I could not justify the ticket prices this time around. I thought I would have better luck with my show being one of the amphitheater shows without Smashing Pumpkins, but the cheapest seat was $120+fees with pit being $199+fees. Seems ridiculously high considering we got much better seats at Hella Mega for cheaper. I have a feeling the prices will drop in my area so I'll just be patient until next summer rolls around. Until then, I'll just keep my fingers crossed that Saviors is great and a return to form after FOA.
My #1 is Weezer. My parents introduced the blue album and make believe to me when i was 6, and they still hold that sweet place in my heart.
Linkin Park will probably always be my “favorite nostalgia band,” but a few years after Chester’s passing, I got into Citizen (with LIYGW) and fell in absolute love with their discography (+ Mat’s other projects + b-sides).
really digging their new singles so far! i listen to them every other day anyway, but i'm gonna have to take a deep dive through all of their discography again in the weeks leading up to Saviors 😁😁
Oooo I’m so tempted to do a stream listening to their whole discography
@@beyondartv a stream of Father of All 13 times in a row 🤣🤣
Green Day is my favorite band and first band I saw live it’s been two decades since I’ve been to a show I wanna go to the saviors tour
Got pit tickets to the Charlotte stop. Citi bank pulled through with that pre-sale daye🤠
My favorite band has been Foo Fighters since probably 8th grade (circa 2008), still number 1 for me
Wow tickets in the US are really expensive, got mine yesterday for Paris in June and the average price was like 80 bucks, the best seats were 106€
Post covid ticket inflation is absolutely ridicoulous.
I remember getting pit tickets for hella mega tour for about 80GBP but now the pit for savior tour is about 120GBP. Its not as bad as in US but covid and inflation has done damage to us greenday fans!!
Just a quick question as someone who lives outside the US, why in gods name are the tickets so expensive in the US? I'm from Ireland got my ticket yesterday for €107.50 and its gold circle which is basically standing just in front of the stage. Such a huge difference in price is absurd
Ticketmaster monopoly and lobbying
@@beyondartv Ticketmaster are such a joke , its beyond ridiculous
I always say The Killers or the Arctic Monkeys even though I stopped listening to their new music 😅
I always go back to the old ones.
In the last 5 years I also got into Oasis in a deeper way.
I missed out on HM tour in 2021 so I really want to see them but as a 19 year old in college, it’s almost impossible to go. $400+ for pit at a lot of shows is crazy and it’s a huge shame. Bummed I missed Blink and Paramore last summer for the exact same reason. It just sucks
I can’t believe the prices in USA! 😱 It was quite reasonable in the UK.
I saw Fall Out Boy with my friend few months back. We payed like 250 for both tickets combined, and although they were lawn seats, there was a pit and we had a great time. Id rather go out to another FOB concert when they come back around to PA in March then spend 5 paychecks to see Green Day. Green Day is my favorite band, but their music has been stagnant with its sound for a long time with little to no evolution (that I enjoy) so I’m not sure where I stand on them rn. I’ll have to wait and see when the album drops if I like it.
Great video, as usual. My favorite band since 2021 is Metric - they have such a great catalogue, not a single album that I don’t like, and seeing them live was incredible. I can see them being overtaken by either Alvvays or Boston Manor in the future, but both of these bands don’t have enough albums for me to say that yet.
I got lucky on ticket prices in Phoenix, got great seats for $110 each (+$30 in fees). Still pretty expensive, but decent
My favorite band used to be A7X then Motionless in White, but now it’s Alkaline Trio. I have been listening to unhealthy amounts of their music lately. One of the bands that I loved back in middle school that I still love a lot to this day is The Used and I was happy to see them live this year with Pierce the Veil, but I mostly listen to their early stuff, even though I do find enjoyment in theIr new stuff despite it not being as strong as their early records.
Green Day has been my favorite band of all time since 2004 when I was 3 years old. I got pit tickets on this tour for about $250 and i think it’s worth it. Rise Against is a close second though.
Why do US concerts have so much seating? I’m grateful here in the uk that the whole floor is generally GA and the seats are just at the side and back
My favorite band has been Linkin Park since I was 13 years old, it's getting hard to stay invested lately after 6 years of nothing but Mike occasionally throwing out a cashgrab, but the memories and emotion from listening to some of their masterpieces like A Thousand Suns for the first time will never leave me
I got tickets for $85 in Milwaukee. Idk if it’s all up to the band. Little bit of the band. Little bit of the venue. Lotta bit of Ticketmaster. So honestly I think it’s just which venue you go to. Sadly some are WAY more expensive.
I bought my ticket, smashing pumpkins and rancid is going to be there too. I really hope Green Day alters thier setlist that they played when I saw them at hella mega tour. They didn’t seem to alter it much since then. None the less they put on a stellar show. They are indeed my favorite band
Panic at the disco has been my favorite band for as long as I can remember but blink has started to get up there but panic we stay my favorite band because I have so much memories with there music
I think Warning is when they dropped the ball but came back with American Idiot and then everything has been downhill after that.
Jesus Charlotte is so goddamn expensive. I got Minneapolis tickets for only $124 after fees for fairly decent seats and Smashing Pumpkins are there too. That show is also on the Saturday between Metallicas M72 shows so I get to see Pantera, Ice Nine Kills, FFDP, The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, Green Day and Metallica 2x in three days. Fuck yeah
The Offspring have been my favorite band since the very first time I heard Come Out & Play on the radio in '94.
I became obsessed with 311 after seeing the video for Down on MTV in '95 and that Top 2 hasnt changed since.
Turnstile just recently overtook A Tribe Called Quest as my new #3.
Being in my 40s, I never thought my Top 3 (that I had for 25+ years) would Ever change.
Thanks Turnstile. 😁👍
(Green Day & Blink 182 have always been my #4 & 5. Now I dont know who gets Top 5 billing.)
I remember in 2017 I paid 170$ for pit for them during the Revolution Radio tour. Blink tickets are outrageous too! Concerts in gonna have to start being more selective with now :(
Green Day's been my favorite band since '95! But there are bands I like just as much, if not more. So, how can Green Day still be my favorite? Simple. I've learned a lot from them. They got me into music, specifically punk rock and the DIY ethos. And I learned tolerance and acceptance from them and their great community of welcoming fans.
I've grown up with them, studied them, seen them almost every time they tour a new album, etc. At this point, they feel like friends. They have a great relationship with their fans - you can see that they are having fun, and they invite us to join in. For example, they have "secret projects" such as the Foxboro Hot Tubs and the Network, not because they have to but because they want to. And both projects were awesome! I saw the Hot Tubs live and it was one of the best shows I've been to (I even got on stage with a bunch of other drunk fans during Broadway at Dion Hills, haha). And, my friend was able to get me to meet them backstage at Conan during the Warning tour (they're nice guys and signed my Kerplunk album).
They've impressed and surprised me over the years. I was already a fan for nearly a decade when American Idiot came out, so watching them reinvent themselves was a sight to behold. And, while FOAM was a major letdown, Money Money 2020 Pt II more than made up for it.
So, they're my favorite band and I look forward to the new album. But I agree - the ticket prices for this tour are nuts...
Green Day were never one of my all time favorites, but their album streak from 94' to 04' was and still is a goldmine. Unfortunately to me, they peaked with American Idiot and just haven't been able to wow me since. Checked tickets for the DC date and decent seats are well over $200. Noooooo thank you. Would love to see them live, but maybe at a festival or something.
My all-time favorite band is still TesseracT. As of of right now, I still can't think of another artist where I've gone back to their music and still gotten the same amount of enjoyment with them, as on my first listen. But I also choose not to listen to them too much to save myself from burnout, which is the last thing I want with a band like TesseracT.
Yellowcard is a close 2nd, but it's a bit more based on nostalgia, even though their music has still held up extremely well. Though I will mention that their latest EP they put out this year is some of their best material in about 10 years.
Green Day is and will always be my favorite band. Blink 182 is a VERY close 2nd but ive listened to GD's discography all my life so I can go almost a year without listening to an album. Then when nothing is coming out that peaks my interest, I go back to any of their albums and it feels like home. Father of All is on the lower end of my list from them but that didnt change my love for them. Hoping to see them in Milwaukee next year!
I'm really disappointed in the ticket prices for this tour. I've never seen them live and planned on getting tickets this tour knowing that they're getting older but still put on great shows. I was ready to get a pit ticket, expecting it to be around 300 dollars. But no, 700 fucking dollars. Absurdly priced, and I don't think I can in good faith pay that, and miss out on the experience of possibly ever seeing them. Like you said, 700 dollars and you don't even get to meet the band. For that price I want a personal hand kiss. I am not rich, and that pricing is just absurd. Over 100 for the nosebleeds. Truly disappointing.
My favorite band tends to shift. Sometimes it’s something more secular and hard and sometimes it’s more on the Christian rock spectrum. I am currently digging some more lesser known Christian rock bands like under the flood and in the verse. But citizen soldier makes it on there, too, we also can’t forget Lincoln Park.
I just gave up on getting Green Day tickets or the UK run. Their small show they announced for London (like 1000-ish cap I think) was £93 each, like over $100. And considering the arena tickets skyrocketed last time, probs gonna happen again. Glad I got to see them in a decent seat in 2013 but still... ouch.
£85 for standing in Manchester I got mine this morning. Just glad we don't have to pay the kinda prices they do in America
2 pit tickets to the Toronto show was over $1000. That was insane and I didn't go for it. I got floor seats, which were still over $700 and I feel okay about it. I just wish I could have stood close to the stage for a band I've loved so much for over 5 years, but oh well. Not for that price.
Ticket prices everywhere are just getting absolute ridiculous. For pretty much any band or venue
Is it the band overpricing themselves or just the Ticketmaster pricing in the US? £85 for pit tickets in the uk today which i didn't think was too bad
I still like Father of All and Trilogy, there is some music I don't like very much. But even in Dos and Father, that I consider the worst albums, I literally love Graffitia and Stray Heart, both are in my top 20 all time Green Day songs.
And Yes, Green Day is my favourite band since 2005, when I was 13 years old.
For me as much as Linkin Park is my favorite band (R.I.P Chester) and was the gateway into Metalcore and Deathcore which led me to Extreme Metal (Stuff from Nuclear Blast and Century Media), Green Day is my 2'nd favorite band and are still one of my favorite bands.
