Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out this new series I'm starting, it was a lot of fun to film! I spent a LOT of time on the editing to make as entertaining as possible for you guys, please LIKE the video & let me know what you think!
Billie Joe looks like he's barely aged. He looks a little older when he hasn't shaven but most people do. Facial hair is like the first thing to grey. Mike and Tre look great too. I don't really get the hate for Green Day. They seem like super fun guys and their music is great. I mean, I get if their music isn't someone's cup of tea but it's not really worth hating on. I mean, the trilogy was mostly garbage but it's not worth getting all snotty about it. If anything, they have a bit of a formula that I kind of wish they would break out of it a little more. That's what I liked about Warning, 21CB, and American Idiot. They stretched their sound further. Warning and AI are my top GD albums along with Dookie of course. Warning is one of the most underrated albums, ever. It's not like Green Day is the most technically astounding or greatest band to ever write a song. They write catchy alternative rock/pop punk and Billie Joe is a solid lyricist most of the time. If anything, his words have been incredibly relatable to me during my teenage/young adult years and I've formed an attachment to them. Mike's bass lines are pretty killer for the most part. I love Tre's drumming style too. I have nothing but love for the band. I don't usually comment on music videos of bands that I dislike. I don't see the point. People just like to hate.
Even if you don’t agree with politics, it’s pretty retarded to tell a political punk band to “stay out of politics.” It’s like telling Bad Religion to not sing about religion...
Charlotte Roschkowski my friends said that about Wake Me Up When September Ends once and I was pissed af....in short my friends have the worst taste in music ever...they probably think Lil Pump is better than Led Zeppelin. Like it's one thing to not like a genre of music...but to trash it and make fun of people who enjoy it is beyond stupid.
Well if that was said by a green day fan that knew the real meaning of the song is bad, but if you dont know i dont think he have the intention to hurt someone xdd just saying

But for others who may not be aware of the meaning behind the song, it's just a play on words- they're taking it quite literally. And if i we're honest, when I first came across it, it made me smile a little, I understood the pun and everything. Eventually there does come a time where you just need to stop. The joke has been going around (probably) since WMUWSE came out, and quite frankly, it's getting boring and repetitive. Anyway, my point is, it's not entirely their fault if they don't know the meaning behind the song, but once you do, you should stop because no one wants to hear the same joke over and over again.
I don’t like all Green Day political beliefs. But I ain’t letting that stuff ruin a great band. Couple things I disagree with isn’t going to ruin one of my favorite bands.
Yes. They're boring. I know it's punk, but all their songs sound too similar and basic for my tastes. The singer is too nasally for my liking aswell. (Just my opinion though.)
I'm no trump supporter, in fact I actually hate him, but 85% of Green Day's songs are cheesy (not the good kind), over dramatic, or trying way too hard.
I love this series already. This video had me floored. I've always thought you had a great sense of humor but this is probably your best vid for proof of that. Big fan for a few years now. Keep up with the great reviews/videos!

Good ideas, but Linkin Park videos are still flooded with "R.I.P. Chester" comments. Gonna be hard to find hate on one of their videos, as many haters as they have.

I hate how people are complaining about how a musician is sharing their political opinion. I'm a trump supporter too, but I'm not about to stop listening to my favorite band because I don't agree with Billie. Some people just need to grow up, honestly, and stop being afraid of an opinion that is different than theirs.

American Idiot, for example, told a story. Also, a lot of the non-political songs, especially on older albums like Dookie are relatable at times. Honestly, American Idiot isn't even that political. Yes I'm aware it's named American idiot, but that's not everything. It's more of characters suffering and rebelling through tough times. I guess the basic of it is political, but most songs are stories between the characters. love it though

I’m a great fan of Blink-182. They inspired me and nearly changed my life when I discovered them at the age of 12. But, for me, they’ve « died » after Dogs Eating Dogs. It’s the last great thing they’ve done. :\

I have to disagree with you on the politics point Jon. I love American idiot, it’s my favourite album by them, and I don’t have a problem with the political themes on that record because they were more subtle and the message wasn’t entirely directed at one political figure or political party. I know a lot of it came from the band’s disapproval of the Bush administration, but as Billie says on the Heart Like a Hand Grenade documentary, a big part of the album’s name and message is realising that not everything is the fault of one person, but that “maybe I’M an American idiot too”. I extremely disagree with the way that the members of green day have been shoving their political views down everyone’s throats, I’m not a trump supporter but I cringed when I saw them live and Billie yelled “FUCK DONALD TRUMP!”. All he’s doing is alienating a part of the fanbase and being unnecessarily preachy and political without even bringing up any good points besides “I don’t like the president”.

I have to disagree with you on the politics point Jon. I love American idiot, it’s my favourite album by them, and I don’t have a problem with the political themes on that record because they were more subtle and the message wasn’t entirely directed at one political figure or political party. I know a lot of it came from the band’s disapproval of the Bush administration, but as Billie says on the Heart Like a Hand Grenade documentary, a big part of the album’s name and message is realising that not everything is the fault of one person, but that “maybe I’M an American idiot too”. I extremely disagree with the way that the members of green day have been shoving their political views down everyone’s throats, I’m not a trump supporter but I cringed when I saw them live and Billie yelled “FUCK DONALD TRUMP!”. All he’s doing is alienating a part of the fanbase and being unnecessarily preachy and political without even bringing up any good points besides “I don’t like the president”.
