i just bought the universal remote and the problem now is the tv. It say update the system somethinf with usb. I will try this later lets see.
Very rarely do technology tutorials ever work for me. Maybe 1% of the time, every other time one or two steps are a little different and screws everything up. This worked the first time perfectly. Thank you.

For those who have a weird LG TV, repeat the power on process several times if the controls still do not work properly. I turned the TV on and off three times before discovering the right setup code. Go through the power on and off a few times before hitting the volume up step. We have an LG 65uj6300 and this video worked wonders after a few extra attempts. Thank you!
Thank you. This worked for me I kept it in set up mode and manually turned off the tv once the volume up wasn’t doing anything after many presses and started again with the power button

Hi, universal remote is not like an original one. You only have basic functions. Did you try up, down, left and right buttons. You can also use your cellphone as a remote, that will be easy. Just connect your phone to the same wifi connection.

Hi, if you missed it, remove one battery from a fews seconds, press down any button on your remote for 20 seconds to reset your remote and start all over

I'm hooked to fire stick my moat got weird after a severe storm Does that make a difference if you have a firestick I use the remote to universal to go watch my DVD's and And Wi-Fi movies on the fire stick so does it matter if my fire stick it's working perfect but it's my universal remote just to keep giving me a problem

No, a remote works through infrared, you can only control infrared compatible devices with a remote

Hi, check if the remote is universal first. If it is universal, you can set up a remote using codes, you will find codes online with the model number or name of the remote, you will see a list of codes according to TV brand, you just follow instructions to enter the code. This is an example, but might not be the same procedure:

Thank you bunches for your help. Is it normal for the input button not to work once the remote is setup? I am able to turn TV on/off, volume up/down and other simple functions. However, when I press the input button to change from the HDMI port with my fire stick nothing happens.
You're welcome. The INPUT button should normally work. I think the button contact needs a clean up with a dry cloth, but don't break your remote.
