After over an hour of trying to program this remote and watching 2 other RUclips videos, I finally found this amazing video. Your explanation was very clear and understandable. I especially appreciated the link for the code list and that it was a CL6 - it worked for me using the first of the two codes. I also appreciated the instruction on how to factory reset the remote. Thanks!
You helped me out this morning big-time. It's true. My remote for my Sony bdp1100 Blu Ray just quit working and it won't work with out it. So you came to the rescue. I'm going to subscribe because you like helping people and so do I and I want to learn
Just picked up remote today and set up cable box and TV. Will the remote power on tv and cable box at the same time they are hooked together with HDMI cable, just wondering
@@JLPicard440 Thanks for the follow up. You are correct no macros. Remote functions very well on a 2020 LG TV and 17 year old Cogeco cable box. I was able to get to settings, menus and even smart apps on the LG home screen very easy to use. I prefer the remote over the units supplied by LG or Cogeco. My choice, others may not feel the same. LG remote was magic model great concept but hard on batteries.
When you say "streaming" can that be a cable box? If not, how does this work with cable where the cable is connected to the TV through HDMI? Thank you.
HI... I checked the remote on Amazon and it shows that it'll work for streaming or cable. Yes there's a difference, but there should be a code section for streaming boxes like Roku/ Apple TV, etc and also a list of codes for cable boxes too. You can use the STR button for either one..
Its not going to be in the instructions since most manufacturers say that it won't work with firestick. The firestick will work if you have hdmi-cec capability on your TV. I did a video on this a while back that will explain more: ruclips.net/video/MndLcR5FfT4/видео.html
This video is awesome and so clear and I still can’t do it haha. I tried both way. I turned on my Xbox and sound bar but couldn’t get my dvd/vcr combo going
Thank u! Sometimes on the combo units you have to program in the two as separate units. For example if you have an RCA DVD/VCR combo, you have to put the codes on 2 different buttons, like an RCA DVD on one button, and an RCA VCR on another. Hope that makes sense. I know this is only a 3 device so not many buttons to choose from! Have you gotten it to work at all?
@@JLPicard440 sadly no. I gave up lol I gave up for the night. I tried the aud for it and did the code search and I used a bunch of codes from the computer I found. And nothing.
HI, there are no codes for a fire stick. A Fire Stick can work through your TVs HDMI-CEC control via the HDMI port. If your TV has this feature it's easy to setup. I did a video on this a while back: ruclips.net/video/MndLcR5FfT4/видео.html Hope this helps..
I just looked at the manual and it does say it'll work with cable boxes. I don't have a spectrum box to try it and confirm, but I believe there's a good chance it will.
What is it supposed to look like when it connects. I wish you would have shown the actual screen. I still don't know if I am doing this right or if this set up doesn't work. I'm glad others found this easy. I am not. When do you know when to push up on the volume for automatic codes? How do I know if the anything is even accepting the codes when I am trying them . DO I press enter after hitting tv then the code? This Tv was given to me and the physical buttons on the tv dont work so I need this to work. As soon as I plug the tv on it comes on but I get nothing but a screen saver pls help
HI... To say it "connects" wouldn't really be accurate.. There is no "pairing" or "connection". This remote just sends out codes into the air and the TV will respond or it will not, if that makes sense. When the TV receives a code it will respond. Automatic codes are a last resort if your brand isn't listed in the code list. The direct code method is better since it narrows the code choices to your brand only. The automatic code method will send out an on/off signal. If your TV turns off, then you've hit on something. I explain in the video that sometimes a tv will turn off, but then other functions don't work such as volume, input, etc. You have to go through the functions and see if everything works.. If not try the next code.
@Take a Bath Productions yes, but none worked, and I don't know if something is wrong with the TV, which is what I'm thinking or my bad universal remote skills. 🤔
@@tankdiggs8974 Huh... if you have another TV in the house, try to program the remote to that and see if you can get it to work. It's unlikely that both TVs would be bad.
I tried a couple of codes, and said this is too new, and went to the "find a code" part. (Not on the timeline, BTW,) and that got it set up. I will also tell you it works even if the device is turned off... just in reverse. Part of my problem is that I just got this TV from a neighbor, and she'd been using it with an Alexa remote (not helpfull,) and I wasn't even sure where the power button was on the TV.
Yes it'll work with the device turned off for sure. The remote only sends out a "power toggle" command, not "on" or "off". I think the book recommends to start with the device turned on because if it's off it takes a little longer to react and become evident that it received a "power" command to turn it on, if that makes sense. Did you get it working?

What’s the Hisense code
