HI, there's no way to really do that. However, I've discovered that if your TV has HDMI-CEC control you don't even need the Fire-stick remote. Just purchased this. Great video! Is there any way to get the front dial and/or number up front to work with the fire stick remote. Nothing with the universal remote works along with fire stick.

HI... I am not sure why Amazon doesn't tell you that their fire TV devices will work with virtually any remote. If your TV has HDMI-CEC capability, which most do, this will allow the Fire Stick to work through the TVs HDMI jack and the code that controls the TV. I use it all the time. Here's a video I did on that very subject. I hope this helps... ruclips.net/video/MndLcR5FfT4/видео.html
HI, do you mean you have a Fire TV that's an actual TV? I don't believe that TV has a RF sensor in the front so you can use a standard universal remote.. However, most Roku devices will pick up what type of TV you're using and will allow you to use the Roku remote to control said TV. I haven't tried to use a Roku device on the Fire TV, so I can't answer for sure, but I have a feeling it'll probably work.

Very good! If you still have functions that don't work you might try auto code search to see if it comes up with a better code for you. IF you've got a smart tv these remotes usually will work the basic functions though.
You stated that the directional and select buttons on the front of the remote will control the FireTV Stick, instead of having to flip it over to use the actual FireTV Stick remote control. Bit you don't really elaborate as to how exactly this occurs, because it is clearly not automatic, as my screen just pops up display and channel information because it's programmed to make those buttons control television functions. Yet I can not get it to do this. It seems to me that it isn't actually possible to do this, because as you mentioned the universal remote is IR based, and the FireTV Stick is HDMI-CEC/Bluetooth controlled.
