I was out there for 38 years. You just cant get drivers to slow down or if necessary, call it a day. Everyone thinks there's a special set of rules made just for them. My criticism of drivers comes from many years of making mistakes in my earliest days of trucking. My one and only accident was all the way back in the middle 80's. It ended in a head on collision with another semi. Driving too fast for conditions and not understanding how to stop a jackknife.
It was a big lesson that taught me to SLOW DOWN.
