The reason Gaoh Mukaku gave up on the Niko Style is because the WORM could now learn it from Six/Tiger Niko. So he went back to using the Gaoh Style since the WORM had no information on it because he never taught it to the Nikos.
But the Worm doesn't know anything about Niko Style Ultimate Technique "Demonsbane"

I was wondering how a monster like tiger Niko losses to Ohma's Niko, until I saw that Ohma's Niko is way above tiger Niko when they're young.
Kuroki also said Ohma’s master was his equal
I don't think Tiger Niko is that impressive so far, he didn't do anything significant against Muteba (and even if Muteba had a small derringer pistol we had seen Ohma's Niko deflect fullsize handgun bullets before), the same Muteba who admitedd he doesn't fight unless he liked his odds and tapped out against a pretty injured Wkatsuki in the KAT because of it.

Neither Tiger Niko nor any of the big name bad guys has EVER actually accomplished anything meaningful in the story.

It’s kinda cool that during the flashback the author was actually dropping little hints for us as to who the tiger niko actually was, like during his sparring with two where six was shown experimenting with the niko style techniques just like he did when he got older with the divine demon, formless and guihun or when he told gilbert wu that rikuko ward was terrible and in the flashback six was assigned to rikuko ward, yan literally said that rikuko ward meant ‘six’ worms
Theory: Demons bane technique was created and meant to destroy the heart of Advance users, which is important since they rely on their heart pumping blood faster and hence its name, and considered that advance looks demon like with the red color it makes sense
It's hard to speculate about that, those are not *actually* the names used in the original japanese, it's just that the Translation group Hokuto no Ken that later went official alongside Comikey were REALLY liberal with the technique names. The Katas from the Niko style for example aren't actually Fire, Adamantine, Water and Deflection, they're all supposed to be names derived from Indian mythology, which is the in-universe reason for Ohma to be called the "Ashura", which is a demonic figure from the same myths.
@leonardomarquesbellini what are the actual names of the katas? I tried looking up the original Japanese name and even tried looking up their names in Hindu but they aren't much different to what the translation group said they are. I think if you look on the Fandom page of kengan ashura they're listed as Heavenly fire, Heavenly water, Flow control form and Adament form. So different but not really, I think it'd be really cool if they were a bit more Hindu in nature as it would fit the theme of Ohma's call sign. As it stands right now being nicknamed the Asura really doesn't mean much. I'm sure the Japanese audience understands the cultural connotation of that so it probably hits harder in their minds than in mine being a western fan who knows very little about East and South Asian mythology. But yeah leaning into that cultural label for the katas names in the English translation of the manga could've been so much more cool than it is currently.

I knew the very moment that Six was Tiger Niko when he used flashing steel. Back in Ashura, there is a flashback where Tiger Niko used Flashing Steel against Ohma. My curiosity is how the hell did Four fight Six right after Four stopped rampaging Ohma? I wanna see how it happened like, Four is freaking OP.
Right? He did it without a break too! All of the fights Four had were with the intention to kill, which makes it way harder. They also most likely went all out right off the bat or at least used a decent percentage of their strength right from the start.
I'm honestly not even convinced Ohma's Niko is actually dead, everything we've seen of him and of Genzan painted them as pretty reasonable dudes that wouldn't go around killing willy-nilly even if they're capable of that. Would Genzan really kill someone for roughing up his student? I'm not sure. And would Niko go along with a death match even when he knew for a FACT that whole thing was a misunderstanding? Considering they both had ties to Kuroki it wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being the case that the two knew each other, or at least of each other, which makes the whole thing weirder.
Four stopped Ohma fought Genzan, then Six came and killed him while he was weakened.
The only loose end regarding the Nikos is if #3 is still alive or not. It'd be mighty bold of Tiger Niko to call himself "The Last Niko" while knowing full well that there's another Niko alive somewhere he failed to kill. Hopefully he didn't get killed offscreen if that's the case.
P.S.: the nameless guide isn't Niko #3. He's a throwback character named Manji Sukekiyo from the prequel manga before Kengan called "Fist of The Seeker" who's responsible for taking down the Gato Yakuza family so I highly doubt it would be him. Joji and Kureishi are also throwback characters who were from Fist of the Seeker.

@@Purunga22222 Nameless is from Fist of the Seeker (same series where Joji and Kureishi came from which happened before Kengan Ashura), he can't be the 3rd Niko.
In order to learn Demonsbane you need to master the 4 katas and we have #3 who mastered the balance of the 4 katas left anaccounted for in Mukakus teachunt AND having wounded #5 in his arguably demonic form...hmm....
So gaoh might not even know demons bane.

Yes! I don't mind the extension at all but Sandrovich seems focused on closing this story. Hopefull even if it ends we get a new one or at least some exploration on this subplot.

I believe The Nameless Guide is Niko Tokita #3. Furthermore it was never stated that Mukaku Gaoh created the Possessing Spirit, although he did show awareness of the technique which does leave room for speculation. On the other hand it was stated Tiger Niko created the technique, but the evidence shown in this chapter might suggest otherwise which contradicts the past statement. However it was stated Mukaku Gaoh created Demonsbane there is a possibility of Ohma Niko #4 creating the technique or learning separate from his brother's. As far as we've seen only 1, 6, and 5 can use Possessing Spirit out of the 7 Niko's. Hopefully the next chapter answers all our questions.
Literally no one on the subreddit was talking about part of the worms goal being to gain the niko style/secret technique

I found the secret technique to be Possesing spirit very interesting (from what we understand), and also why Ohma's Niko doesn't like Advance.
probably Demonsbane was created when Ohma's Niko went to ask Kuroki for help. And there seems to be something a bit poorly told in this story, it seems that something is missing... I think it can be better explained in the future..
like what happened to the 3? why did 5 hate mukaku (which doesn't make much sense since mukaku took care of him and the others)? and how did they join the worm?
The part that is missing I suspect Makaku is holding back details because he does not trust Ohma or anyone here fully.

4 went to Kuroki Gensai asking for help but we never find out what he needed from Kuroki.
Plus the "duel" he had with Kiryu's master could've been staged since said master was a close friend of Kuroki's.
May be the "help" he needed was to fake his death.
Bit out there but who knows. The series already pulled it with Ohma after all.

I think part of why Mukaku just gave up on the Niko style was because not only was the martial art itself exposed, so was the secret that there were multiple Nikos. The plan to build up a mythical figure in Tokita Niko undermined.
I think #3 created Demonsbane and 1. May have used it or an imperfect form on #5. 2. May have died passing it on to #4.
One thing I'll say is we didn't see why Mukaku seems to hate the Connector specifically. He has all the reason to hate the Worm as a whole but so far in the flashback he hasn't mentioned the Connector by name or any other high-level worm members (at least I don't think so). Yeah it could just be that if he kills the Connector and breaks his cycle of reincarnation then the Worm itself is done for but the times he does mention the Connector it seems personal. Plus we have Retsudo and Himuro both saying Mukaku isn't lying but is omitting things, so maybe there's more to this than just this flashback.
I'm guessing the connector is probably the one that convinced Six/Tiger Niko to betray Mukaku.
That maybe the reason why Mukaku hates the connector the most.
But it definitely just could just be a case of "Kill the top guy. And the rest will fall."

Felt this was underwhelming. We barley got to actually meet any of the Niko’s. We should’ve had chapters of buildup giving them personalities, taking down worm members, some students failing to keep up and disappearing. Like obviously Tiger Niko killed them but that’s only assumed and we don’t see a reason for them to hate him so much. We also never see 5 and Ohma’s Niko fight which is a waste considering we never got to see Ohma’s Niko fight serious at all. They just had 5 die like that not really fights despite being one of the strongest .And the mystery of the traitor could’ve been dragged out or something. Gaoh just stops going after Tiger Niko due to a trap or something despite his strength and just randomly gives up.

Ohmas niko created demonsbane with 3 because he said 3 got away so they probably went a second time to the forest and since 3 was balanced in all 4 katas he created it with ohmas niko and died while training for it
They would introduce a knew character to kill him off screen.
I think that tiger niko somehow awakened formless in that forest when he killed other nikos so he created that killing ritual for formless style. You know gaoh said that inside is like that big chamber for formless style ( i dont know the name 😒)

we don’t know if the secret technique they learned in the forest was advance or if that’s something they already had. It likely wasn’t because Ohma didn’t learn advance that way.
I feel quite a few of those ending questions have some conclusions we already can come to and be likely reasonable and accurate

The Gato Family being destroyed by the "Hidden Man" that was referenced in Omega takes place in The Fist of the Seeker PREQUEL manga, while in Omega they refer to the incident in PAST- tense. Read a Kengan reddit sub why don't you.

I suspect Makaku is loose on the details because Ohma's likeness is an unknown to him, there is more to be resolved just knowing about the mountain is not enough to explain every development since.
Louhan, I doubt is number 3 mainly due to Tiger Niko stating himself to be the last Niko, he is aware seemingly acquainted with Louhan in the present.
