Guessing 2 Shen in the past focused on separate methods of becoming a peak martial artist(Gouken/Akuma). Then, for some reason, 1300 year's ago, they decided to do one body and become invisible. Now, since they can't find a worthy foe, they're just like "bro you just want to separate into 2 somewhat identical bodies and see what's really good.

Ohma is The Tiger and Ryuki is the Dragon. Shen is the Phoenix, The phoenix is an immortal bird that cyclically regenerates or is otherwise born again

Ohma was "taught" (only the advance) by Tiger Niko and Ryuki was taught by a Long Dragon Tribe descendent so I guess it makes sense

Don't forget ohma was bloodlusted when Niko met him in the manga. Ohma literally killed members of a gang while within the inside. All while as a kid! It wasn't really shown in the anime so a lot of people miss that and forget about the extra chapter in the manga

Now the goal of the Worm of keeping Wulong in check makes sense now, cause Yan knows behind the chilled and friendly guy there's a monster with murderers intent that can be unleashed anytime
There is some truth to that but I also feel that the Worm isn't as transparent as they show themselves as. I feel that the Worm want to put a leash on The Connector so that instead of him being all this powerful and living freely, they want to turn him into their most powerful weapon, and if possible, replicate him so that they have an undisclosed amount of very powerful operatives on their hands. Ultimately, they don't want to feel that they are serving the whims and fancies of an idiotic but unrivaled martial arts god-in-human-form

Ok this was actually a pretty cool reveal
I knew from the start seeing his two irises that Shen Wulong was very different.
What if years ago the last connector the one that fought mukakus grandfather found not one but two proteges to continue the connectors legacy, he then trains them both, the tiger and the dragon, they mature and then use the worms cloning technology and the CYBERBRAIN (that thing way back mentioned about fusing multiple fighters conciousness to create the ultimate fighter) fusing themselves into Shen Wulong.
Louhan could just be a more mature ohma clone that they discarded using but still keep around somehow.
The cyberbrain wasn't a thing way back then. It's something they recently started working on.

For those who want more martial arts manga, [ Batuque ] is definitely underrated. It follows a female MC, Ichiri Sanjou who is cared for by a foster (fake) family that were part of a Brazilian Gang. Her real father who was kidnapped by that gang, became the leader of the Brazillian Gang; Lança Mortal. After becoming the Leader of the gang, he desired a heir to become the next leader so he wanted his children to participate in a succession battle where the strongest of his 3 children will become the next leader of Lança Mortal.
It has a rough start like Usogui, the previous masterpiece of Sako Toshio (The Mangaka) but it becomes a pure battle manga after getting through the first dozen of chapters. The main fighting style in the manga is Capoeira, the martial art that Carlos Medel uses during fight against Gaolong. It has an amazing story with likeable characters and the art and choreography is simply on another level for martial arts manga.
As a Brazilian, I am SOLD! 🔥 Thanks for sharing this dude, it sounds absolutely incredible. I don't think I've ever heard of any manga or anime embracing Brazilian culture to such an extent apart from Michiko and Hatchin 🔥

This is what i believe. The two personalities inside The Connector are similar in their differences as how Ohma and Ryuki are different.
Ohma, is a fighting enthusiast who is not above expressing anger, frustration, and the need to win at any cost. Sure they seem extreme parts of the personality but there's never an inherent malice. There never was. Even as a child when he unintentionally saved Setsuna, he did it out of pure revenge cuz the perpetrators came into his zone.
Ryuki seems and actually is much more banal and mundane, doesn't get riled up that easy, infact he tries to keep himself in control and does succeed in it more times than not. But it's been observed by the other cast of the series and even us as readers that there's a darkness in him which isn't in Ohma, and it's obvious. Whenever confronted or cornered, Ryuki has an almost unsettling level of composure, with his eyes usually being obscured as if to keep us oblivious to what he is thinking, usually with the lens of his glasses.
Both are powerful individuals , Ohma more than Ryuki but that is obvious due to difference in the paths they were on, different masters , different training, especially experience level difference. But both are powerful to not be taken lightly. Ohma is the stronger/disciplined/sagacious one since now he gives training, advice and insight to Koga as his mentor but Ryuki is the more inherently dangerous, or shall i say ‘aberrant’ one.
Ryuki's personality has already been explained to be a result of how he was raised and brainwashed. It isn't an inherent thing due to being a clone. Same with Ohma. His personality changed alot just during Ashura.

Bro, I just went back to read the end of chapter 151 and if you take very close, look at the face of wulong you can actually see the split pupil
It would be nice for Niko No. 3 to still be alive, though I don't see him having much narrative utility at the moment. Perhaps if / when Katsuya is reintroduced he may have some role.
I think that chill Shen or even both Shens, decided to skip Louhan because he saw that Louhan's own personality and memories might end sticking with them or that Louhan is too dangerous for either of them to transfer themselfs into.
Nobody mentions the panel where shen actually sees joji as an equal.
He doesn't see him as an equal in the combat sense. Just that they're good friends

Lots of anime have that (split personality/dual mentality) where 1 is *vastly* stronger than the other via physically/hax abilities, and other anime go with the logic they are equally the same in physical & ability prows the only difference is their I.Q
I think Shen Wulong would later manage to split out whoever it is inside him, and they'll fought to the death, but the bad version of him would eventually defeat him, maybe with the help of Luo Han, and probably even kill him. Then Ohma, Ryuki and Koga teamed up and defeat that bad Wulong.
My guess at some point connector born as a twins nicknamed " Dragon and tiger" since both of them equal to each other. When creating clones which they got Wulong and Luohan. At first the other transfer to Luohan but after saw how weak Luohan was, he then transfers half of him to Wulong waiting to be transfer into stronger vessel.

I disagree. I feel that Tiger Niko knew about Demonsbane, but he's not someone to exercise something just because how it was intended in the first place. He's the mad scientist-tinkerer of the verse. Most definitely he wasn't satisfied with what or how Demonsbane is.
Remember that it's been said the Tiger Niko's greatest creation has been the Formless style, that it is the ultimate survivor's fighting style, reverse engineered from the Niko Style.
In fact the whole point of how Agito and Lu Tian survived their respective Gu Rituals was exactly because they were taught the Formless and sent to kill and thrive in the Gu. I believe he took the essence of what is the ultimate move of the Niko Style, and made a whole martial art around it which is known as Formless. Cuz the Demonsbane at it's core is a formless move, but exists as the means to counter any and all of an opponents' assault.
Shen Wulong is the connector his clones is ryuki. The Tiger is the other personality his vessel is Ohma

Do you think thats why Shen has such a personality change when he fights? Outside of fights maybe he's "shen", who we see drinking casually, enjoying himself. But in fights maybe "Wulong" comes out. The guy who says things like how he's the "gaia theory".. said to Kuroki he loves how the "powerless" think, or "mortals" think. He truly has a major shift unlike anyone else.
Maybe Shen is actually 2 People from the start or maybe the Other Shen is only appear after The Old Shen using a modern Huisheng and Cloning, so the personality seems splitted.
Or maybe the moment when Erioh and Katahara winning against the Connector, the other Connector came to the place and start merging to save the other Connector.
So Chill and Menace Shen are 2 diffrent people

I'm going to have to disagree with either 1 of the 2 connectors inside Shen being evil. That doesn't make sense an evil being merging with a pure hearted being. Not buying that at all. I believe Ohma and Ryuki will be the new connector to share 1 body after the current connectors separate into their respective bodies.
