Wider, yes, which for the price I think would be good enough for Megan 😜 She loves a tough truck, and that Ranger Raptor is a lot of truck for the money!
I just got my 2024 Ranger two days ago. Waited a long time for it and love it. I notice today the brake pedal requires a lot of effort, was ready to panic thinking something was wrong. Just now noticed that you noticed that too, so I'll calm down. I traded a 2020 Ranger and had great braking. I don't get it.
A firmer pedal is usually associated with sportiness, which isn't exactly what people are looking for in their light duty pickup truck. They might have over compensated here, but the Ford Ranger overall is a very solid package. Thanks for watching!
Love y'all reviews! Looking forward to this one. Been debating between this and the new Chevy Colorado. The Tacoma seems to meh to me this generation for the price.
Thanks! That's a tough choice for sure. I tend to lean towards the Colorado here, but we haven't lived with it for a week. From a value standpoint, the Colorado and Ranger both have strong trims and options. I'm VERY interested in the idea of a custom ordered Colorado ZR2 for a reasonable price. This midsize truck segment is on fire right now.
Make the infotainment screen smaller place the hvac buttons in better spot, black wheels, and better looking steering wheel and this would be a home run
One thing I recommend everyone who is getting or got the 2024 ranger excluding the raptors is first thing first is make sure your tire pressures are set to what it’s supposed to be at cold start which would be 38 second thing I noticed is don’t fill up with 87 octane 100% gas which they recommended I switched to 91 I noticed a big difference no rough idling anymore tad better fuel mileage combined I get 23 with 2.3 liter but I enjoy mine it’s going on 2 months in a few weeks and shy under 1600 miles
I like my 2021 lariat. It's the race red black appearance package that is similar to the one that you have in the video. I'm looking forward to the next generation one
Love that iconic silver! Planning on speccing one out w the 2.7 in xlt. Or, more accurately, planning on someone else getting that spec and me buying it from them used in 3 years.
I watched a Ford Bronco documentary and the Ranger was the reason the Bronco was able finally get into production. Ford needed another vehicle to assemble to justify the initial production costs of a "lower" volume sales vehicle like the Bronco, so they re introduced the Ranger. That's what I understood anyways.
I picked up my 24 xlt fx4 a last weekend i know alot of people hate on ford but its a nice truck. The xlt also has zome lighting its not just on the lariat
I don't understand why they can't make the rear seat areas have complete FLAT surfaces underneath the back seats. Trucks are supposed to provide utility and options for hauling stuff. They always put stupid plastic containers underneath that make it impossible to haul larger items or just let your huge dog hop in and have a flat area to chill. Toyota puts the batteries under there now, Nissan has a huge plastic cubby and the Fender subwoofer. I've driven F-150 trucks for work and I drive a 21 Silverado 1500 crew now and the rear seats fold up and there is NOTHING underneath. The entire floor area is FLAT. That is the way it should be. Most people won't have entire families riding around in their mid size truck and everyone gripes about how cramped it is. So just make them with a usable FLAT FLOOR when you fold up the stupid rear seats. Rant over :D
@thebigempty- I couldn't agree with you more about the omission of a flat load floor. Honda can do it with Ridgeline. All the others could, too. Also, why not offer a 6 foot bed option. It is a truck, after all. It, too, can be done. Toyota and Nissan got it done.
@@ScottWaliszewski-ud2mz It's our fault. We ballooned the price of full sized trucks up to the stratosphere by using them as family transportation and financing them for 96 months. The automakers got wise and placed the midsize trucks right where full sized trucks used to be. We have no one to blame but ourselves for making trucks status symbols.
9:52 i test drove it.. your sacrificing UMPH. like yeah, the 2.3L is satisfactory sure.. but you do not get any sort of UMPH, you don't feel any power. You just stroll along. The 2.7L will make this truck have acceleration/power more like a 3.5L in the F150. Definitely worth the extra 2200.
The Tacoma is such a disappointment Remember I told all of you that i predicted that the Tacoma would be such a disappointment and you all laughed and called me a troll who owns a Toyota? 😉 Well clearly the tables have turned against you 😂. So clearly if anything it’s me who’s enjoying the last laugh while the rest of you rot in disappointment that you were let down by Toyota
As usual... A bit strong. I think the competition has advanced, and the GM twins along with this Ranger offer very compelling alternatives. For those wishing to stick with simple NA V6s, the Nissan Frontier soldiers on providing a ton of value. The Tacoma isn't as bad as some people have been saying, but the competition has definitely gotten much MUCH better in this generation.
@@jax1079I think more than anything, it comes down to price. Some might say the Tacoma is the best midsize out right now, but it’s definitely not worth $65k.
@@pieorion883 Definitely don't disagree. I'm not sure Toyota fully realized what GM and Ford were capable of bringing to the table. They got a bit ambitious with the TRD Pro pricing.
No rear climate vents is crazy!
Not ideal
The 2024 Ranger Raptor is significantly bigger that the standard 2024 Ranger

A Ranger versão anterior (2021)norte americana é menor quê a vendida no Brasil, essa nova geração é maior quê a anterior? Parece que agora é global .

Did you look at Megan's notes...? 😜 A landscape screen with physical HVAC controls would also open up some center space for storage.
Megan stole my notes…..please tell her she is grounded

I just got the xlt ranger sport with gunmetal wheels

never use 87 in a turbo car honestly lol. i just ordered the 2.7L and cant wait!!

No sunroof they leak after a few years the seals dry up and then you have to replace them and that costs a lot
I mean, it could happen...

51,000 that’s insane price!! In fact, all midsize trucks are way overpriced 50 60,000… They should be from 30 to 45,000…… enjoy Wasting your money
