I live in eastern North Carolina, and the coastal areas around our Outer Banks were one of the favorite stomping (and pillaging) grounds for the notorious pirate Blackbeard. His real name was Edward Teach. Several years ago off the coast of Beaufort, NC, his flagship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, was salvaged off the bottom of the sea near where it was sunk when we were still a British Colony. I wouldn't mind going treasure larking for Blackbeard's loot.

The beads were stellar and all the little bottles, too!! It is amazing how the glass items make it through all that mostly unscathed!!! I'm not familiar with British coins so I Googled the 1906 gold half sovereign. Due to the value of gold today, I found them in used condition for $440.00 USD. Wow! ~Watching from Idaho, USA. :)

At 5:44, the box you found Alex,from Japan, probably had a thin cedar lining on all 4 sides and the bottom and could have held cigarettes. I have a small collection of these boxes. Great lark and great finds. My vote for the window-the gold coin and snow baby.

I believe a half sovereign would have been worth not an old pound as you stated but 10 shillings or 50p in new money. With the price of gold at present you could have between £150 - 200 just sitting there. Remember ladies to add it to your home content insurance as its gold.
I think the Ring you found was a Joke ring the thing sticking out on the side had a rubber atomizer you fill with water and when someone would get close to look at the Ring you squeeze it and water would spray in they're face 👀 Joke 🤣

When you went to pick up the tiny blue bead, I think I saw a button with a shank on the other side of that tan colored rock. Love the little perfume bottle and the snow baby, and the gold coin is an amazing find.

I´m glad for you to have found gold, and i get the appeal, since it does not tarnish, (i found a gold chain with a cross once, mudlarking) but honestly, i do prefere the things with more character or beauty than coins, like puppet heads or beads. love cut glass...etc. i love the way you both get excited over finding stuff. your channel is always a good time, a pause of sturggles in life, a good time. thank you!

I'm not familiar with British coins so I Googled the 1906 gold half sovereign. Due to the value of gold today, I found them in used condition for $440.00 USD. Wow! ~Watching from Idaho, USA. :)

At 5:44, the box you found Alex,from Japan, probably had a thin cedar lining on all 4 sides and the bottom and could have held cigarettes. I have a small collection of these boxes. Great lark and great finds. My vote for the window-the gold coin and snow baby.

I believe a half sovereign would have been worth not an old pound as you stated but 10 shillings or 50p in new money. With the price of gold at present you could have between £150 - 200 just sitting there. Remember ladies to add it to your home content insurance as its gold.

I think the Ring you found was a Joke ring the thing sticking out on the side had a rubber atomizer you fill with water and when someone would get close to look at the Ring you squeeze it and water would spray in they're face 👀 Joke 🤣

WOW!! That was definitely an amazing day. I must admit that I was JUST as excited about the snow baby as I was the gold coin. I know they shouldn't be in the same category but they were for me. My votes for the Window of Wonders (other than the gold coin which was already admitted in) is the snow baby and the yellow lead pig. I really loved that beautiful long perfume stopper too and the tiny bottles. What a great day! Thanks for taking us along. :-D

When you went to pick up the tiny blue bead, I think I saw a button with a shank on the other side of that tan colored rock. Love the little perfume bottle and the snow baby, and the gold coin is an amazing find.
